As a young adult, I've spent a lot of time reading dumb stories.
“If I were one of those main characters, I’d not do things the same way as they do!” Talking out loud to myself was a bad habit of mine.
“I’d like to see you prove that.”
Oh shit. I'm so dead.
An unlikely place to find spiritual wisdom. A great gift from the author.

Really had a fun time reading this work. Good power system and character development, though it would have been better to Convey character development (eg: the time with the daughters has not been fully explored and rushed) overtime rather than in a timeskip.

A wonderful take on how cultivation works! A really fun read that makes sense! The MC enjoys researching about cultivation and doesn't really fight at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I especially liked how Cultivation Manuals were explained in this novel. A Cultivation Manual is the written down cultivation method used by someone in the past (duh) ;). So, obviously, that method fit the original user.
What this means for people who use those methods is that their personality has to become like the original creator (or already is) to successfully raise their cultivation level further!
For example, a good person trying to learn the Sword of the Tyrant cultivation manual will slowly transform into a horrible, sword-wielding tyrant! Without even realizing it!
Which wonderfully explains why all the MCs of cultivation novels never change the world for the better, but just rule and benefit from the dog-eat-dog system.

Fun little story, if you like isekai (world travel) and/or Cultivation novels then your likely to enjoy reading. Although it is light on details, it doesn't detract from the story. I recommend you have some experience with Isekai and xianxia (cultivation novel) to get an understanding of how both of these genres play out order to understand the story fully as it uses clichés from both these genres without going into much detail or providing much context of these clichés. Don't let this stop you from reading though as it is still a good novel even if it's your first for the genres.
