Christian Yi was a stone-cold Special Ops officer in the military. Living his life with a gun almost always pointing at his back, he never let himself relax and managed to always safely come back. He believed that his luck would last forever, only until it inevitably did not. However, he shut his eyes content with the lives he had saved feeling that he lived his life to the fullest. Only…
He actually opened his eyes once again. To his surprise, it was not his body! The person was not even the right gender! How is he supposed to live his life now? Follow Christian in his new life as Tang Xuemei.
Honestly peak of the Modern Chinese Genre. The character is believable, isn't face slapping people left and right with rapid pacing, just living her new life out of a coma. The tutorship set up is nice and quick and the romantic interest is kicked further down the line (Personally I think she should be in her mid 20s when that comes full force, let her get used to the body and being who she is).
I like how her acting teacher (s) are characterized. The main teacher is hesitant to pick her up after he looked up her history (how the former inhabitant of the body lived her life) even though he owes her a favor. Course he gets convinced to take her on given she doesn't tell anyone until he agrees to let it be known.
As for the current set up with her extended family, it looks really promising. The main family of the Tangs (which her branch split from due to drama during the coma) obviously hate her but for the right reasons. When she shows her current self a few reevaluate but others are still crabby. Really looking forward to how this dynamic is explored.
I think tagging can be improved as romance isn't and shouldn't be a main part of the plot for a while. Don't know what to do there though. It isn't really school life either as she isn't going to college.

This has to be one of my favorite stories I have read on this site yet.
The main character behaves consistently within the story. She is always level headed and thoughtful, however this does make her seem to be a little robotic at times which I guess matches her former life in the military. The story has many potential love interests who I feel the author could reasonably and compelling match with the protagonist. I feel that this helps keep new characters fresh and interesting as many of them could end up being an important romantic figure in the story.
The pacing is a little on the slower side, however I feel this helps to keep the story feeling grounded and realistic while still not being so slow as to be boring.
My mine complaints are that I am not currently able to support the author due to my own circumstances and that I did not find this story when it was finished so I could binge it all in a day.

I found this story incredibly disappointing. I feel lied to by the title. I expected something more subversive based off the title and the fact the protagonist was in the military, instead I got something fairly standard. I feel a more fitting title would be 'the villainess who has gone off track'. This could all be set up for the most satisfying turn around, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Read if you want yet another romance between a reincarnated villainess and an ice cube that's full of stupid misunderstandings. Not like there's a million others out there...
