I posted this comment on the final chapter, but felt that I needed to leave a review.
This was such a roller coaster I'm not going to lie. I felt waves of embarrassment, frustration, anger, sadness, happiness, love, humor, schadenfreude, tension, all of it. The whole range of emotions that a human can feel, I swear I felt. Sometimes Mel angered me to no end, and I had to put the book down, but not because it was bad, but because it struck me so deeply, the scene you created, that I felt that reading the next bit would be too overwhelming; a frustrated "No" resounding in my chest. Sometimes she made me feel relatable, and I felt myself being drawn in to the story as if I were there, watching it unfold, eagerly taking in the words on the page like a drink of water after a long sleep. Sometimes she made me feel helplessly in love, and helplessly carried away, tears in my eyes. What excellent writing. Honestly. The way each character was so full of life. 10/10.

I find it quite amusing that the author herself cracked her egg writing about a particularly dense egg cracking.
This story is wonderful, the two leads are so very well crafted, people that I would love to meet in real life, even with the insecurities. After all, we all have them, I would say especially trans people. The way they made mistakes, but then overcame them, filled my heart. Mel was a idiot, but she was my kind of idiot, and Adam... well, if I were to fall in love with a man, I would want him to be like Adam.

Very cute, very wholesome story, I smile just remembering it. I've read it twice which I do rarely and I enjoyed it twice. They're so oblivious it's the absolute best. Personally stories that use genderbend but have the character see himself as a guy and be into women always confuse me so I'm always looking out for stories like this.

I was so happy reading this pulled an all nighter xxxx daylight saving and the effects that go hit me later cause this story was very much worth it.
