Harry Evans faces a magical world that is both familiar and different from what he remembers. Is it worth the risk of losing everything to try and save it? Does he even have a choice? What binds us to a place are the people that inhabit it and Harry is forced to walk the knife's edge between fear and responsibility as he starts his first year at Hogwarts (and beyond)
So far (chapter 14) this story looks promising. We are exploring wizarding world which is slightly different from original story line. Characters, dialogues, worldbuilding, spells and other magic theories are well fleshed out. There is no "cheat" system or power fantasy aspect (nothing wrong with that, but this is not one of those stories).
Edit ch25:
1st school year is almost over and the quality is still high. We have seen MC create his first spell, meet interesting characters and build new friendships. I do enjoy this slow paced slice of life vibe I'm getting out of this work (with a bit of action on the side).

Very compelling fic, I am really digging the AU elements. They are fresh and add a new perspective but they do make you feel apprehensive and cautious. Harry is almost scared to make moves on what he suspects he knows due to the many changes. I look forward to more world building with these differences.

By far the best Harry Potter Self-insert I have ever read. Real characters, different plot, well-executed AU. Wish author all the best so he can keep creating for a long time
