A soul wakes up in a spider egg inside the great elroe labyrinth. The difference being that, this is not the world of the novel he had read in his previous life. The great elroe labyrinth is now a high level dungeon in the up-and-coming DMMO-RPG YGGDRASIL. Recognising this to instead be the world of overlord, he becomes a supreme being of Nazarick and prepares to transmigrate to the new world only to end up in the world of marvel during ancient times. Read as our protagonist, now known as Shiraori, intentionally or unintentionally sets up her own pantheon and shakes the world of marvel comics and movies.

Warning: This is a gender bender, the protagonist is a male before coming to the world of overlord.
I have wanted to try writing this story for a long time. A portion of the story will focus on the nazarick npc's and shiraori coming to be known as gods and forming their own pantheon in ancient times along with wars with other pantheons. I have quiet a few ideas I want to try in this fanfic.

Also Momonga will ‘NOT’ be going to the marvel world.

This is a very fun story to read so far. More of a Overlord/Marvel crossover, than 'I am a spider, so what'. The MC appears 400BC in the marvel universe and well no spoilers I think the author is doing a very good job at writing character interactions and dynamics. It is the 2nd most important ability to have when writing a story in my opinion, right after actually having a story to tell :P.

In short, I think this author has the ability to write something really good here. Top tier even.

Usually, I'll wait until a title has more than 100k words (or at the very least 50k), but the premise this novel had really made me curious.

So far it's good. The "overpowered" nature of Kumo desu ga, the quirks of Nazarick's NPCs, and the nicheness of the Marvel multiverse, offer an interesting combination. Although the plot is barely starting right now, so I have no thorough review of the story.

But one thing stands out: the way the author mimics Overlord's ways of making pov for other characters, and it doesn't feel like just a filler, makes them feel truly alive.

Overall, for now, it has an interesting and promising premise. Hope the author can really deliver a great story.

Although personally, I don't really like how, in the early stages of the game, the MC already had access to TVA's timeline travel technology. It just makes the plot unnecessarily complicated early on, while the MC still have a really long time to spend before the "main timeline".

Although it's also totally makes sense that the MC's first contact is with TVA...

    For Those In a Rush:

If you're a fan of Overlord and Kumo Desu ga, Nanika? this story is for you. Trust me when I say, you will enjoy it.

If you're unfamiliar with these stories, you'll probably need to search up a few things every now and then to understand what's going on or being mentioned.

For Those Who Can Spare 1~3 minutes:

    1. The Story

The story follows Shiraori as the last remaining Supreme Being in Nazarick, but instead of being transported to "The New World, " They end up in the Marvel Universe. This premise alone got me really interested in reading since there are so many cool places to take this and the author does not disappoint.

For My Overlord and Kumo Desu ga, Nanika? Enjoyers:

As you know, one of the best, if not the best part of these IPs is seeing how these overpowered beings led by a seemingly all-powerful god make waves in the world around them. As of right now, they are making some waves and it seems like they will only get bigger. What makes this so interesting is that in a universe with beings just as powerful as them, they'll have to be more careful than ever. So this won't just be a curb stomp, but this also means we get to see way more scheming 👿.

    2. The Characters

The MC (Shiraori) is the mysterious, all-powerful, and introverted gremlin we know and love. She's definitely way smarter than Ainz since she has her parallel minds and prior knowledge of the Marvel Universe. This means she can actually hold her own with the Guardians (for the most part).

The infamous "world domination misunderstanding" is here, just on a much grander scale. But this misunderstanding is integral to the Overlord story. Plus, fun misunderstandings are part of what makes Overlord and Kumo Desu ga, Nanika? so enjoyable anyway.

The cast is characterized extremely well. They all feel believable and act in ways you would expect them to act. Of course, what sets them apart from their original selves is how they act around their new Supreme Being and their new "New World." It's so much fun to see the cast interact with the world and each other. If you're a fan of either fandom, you'll definitely fall in love with how the characters are written here.

    3. The Development

    Ugh, where do I begin!?

There are so many cool things being set up right now. I'm honestly jealous of new readers who will find this later on (as long as the author doesn't drop it 🙏). The premise allows for so many possibilities between the 3 IPs. For example,

Shiraori is setting up her own Carne village, but modeled after Wakanda. The idea of a mock Wakanda is already so cool on its own! It'll be a secluded kingdom of unparalleled scientific progress (and maybe magic too) but also steeped in religion since its literal inception. I can't begin to imagine what sort of cultural practices and beliefs would emerge from such an interesting combination. I mean we already have a black panther parallel with the spider priestess. It'll be interesting to see how this position evolves. Will the women who inherit this role take on a religious leader role or be more combat-oriented? Or maybe both.

I can't gush enough about how well the author integrated all these IPs together. It may not be an "original world" on paper, but the author has definitely set themselves apart and made it uniquely their own.

    4. Conclusion

If you don't like what you're seeing in my review, this isn't for you. If you did, what the heck are you waiting for!?

I bid you farewell and as our great Arachnumec ancestors once said... "May Lady White weave your fate."

The story revolves around a reincarnated character who initially believes they've landed in the world of "So I'm a Spider, So What?, " but later discovers they're actually in the world of "Overlord." After getting acquainted with Ainz and witnessing the closing of "Yggdrasil, " they are unexpectedly transported to the Marvel universe alongside all the guardians and the Tomb of Nazarick.

The concept of the story is undeniably intriguing, as it brings together different magic systems and worlds, promising engaging and unique outcomes. In my opinion, while not reaching breathtaking heights, the characters in this web novel are well-crafted, displaying intelligence and thoughtful decision-making. This leads me to question whether IcyTurtle's latest review truly reflects a reading of the novel. The main character has distinct differences from Kumoko, contrary to what IcyTurtle might imply. Additionally, the side characters' loyalty to White is essential, as fanfiction aims to explore the characters we know and love.

IcyTurtle asserts that "The story is a typical meta-knowledge MC taking advantage of having meta info about loopholes and flaws for personal gains to be lazy around and do nothing for eternity." I strongly disagree with this assessment, and it raises doubts about whether they have indeed read the story. White's plans, such as weaving a net through the multiverse by planting eggs in different timelines and creating a hidden kingdom, are far from "bare-bones" in my opinion. Regarding grammar, I have to concur with IcyTurtle to some extent; there were noticeable grammatical errors, although they didn't hinder comprehension significantly.

Considering that this is a fanfic, it is remarkably well-crafted, particularly if the grammar and spelling issues can be rectified.

long story short, it is extremely boring to read. Here is the list of the criticisms I have about this novel.

    1. The characters

The main character is just a copy-paste of a pre-existing character without any change whatsoever and the pre-existing character herself is by no means interesting to begin with.

The supporting characters are all also outright copy-pasting of the pre-existing projects without any change, thus there is nothing original about this so-called fan fiction to a fault.

    2. The story

The story is a typical meta-knowledge MC taking advantage of having meta info about loopholes and flaws for personal gains to be lazy around and do nothing for eternity. It is utterly bare-bone, basic, and bland. No innovation or creativity is being created from the fan fiction it is based on which screams "This is new, this is exciting, this is something I couldn't think of, etc", it lacks any semblance of a surprise.

    3. The Development

Frankly, the MC has 0 development be it in character growth or purpose. The supporting characters also have the same basic template of "MC is god, we should worship her" sort of fanatic, everyone acts the same that you will forget who is who just because they all act like a hive mind with no stand-out personality (that wasn't already exist in the original projects).

    4. The Writing

Unfortunately, English is not my main language because of that, and for anyone who decided to read this review, please take what I said in this regard with a grain of salt. Now let's get to the point, I think the writing is good and I haven't noticed any significant writing issues to be bothering me at all thus I consider this part to be the most solid. I have seen far worse writing and far better writing on this site alone, so while this one wasn't by any means top of the list, it is better than average among those that I have read.

Unfortunately, I couldn't see this novel as nothing more than copy-pasting original works and mixing things up then acting like that is enough "originality" to call it fan fiction. Perhaps it fits the definition of fan fiction, all I know is that this is among the worst fan fiction I have read so far.
