The sky fell one day.
It's not that Darren Laneth is different, just that he... thinks differently than other people. Because they are just that, other people. Two different groups, a level of mental separation. And yet, because of a little separation, he doesn't know what to do with his life.
...
What constitutes as 'human'?
Is it how we act? How society views us? The very makeup of our bodies? This is not what he sees. What he sees is a question, a question that he's been searching the answer to his entire life, elusive and yet all around him. It is what defines a human, what they always strive for, no matter the situation. When given the ability to search for the answer, the only thing left is to take it. The story of Darren, who loses the thing that matters the most to him and searches ever harder to the answer.
Tell me,
What is happiness?

Hey, tried something new for this competition! Wanted a less fleshed out beginning and more understanding as you advanced. Thank you for the support, and I hope you enjoy! Also, putting in some tags, even though I might not use them. This story will have immoral things, so for those looking for a safe, filtered story don't search here. Also putting the harem tag, because I don't know, maybe? It's not completed, it's a WIP!
I usually write on RR.
