Our protagonist is a retired sergeant who joined the army when he was 18. His biggest regret in life was that he never went to high-school due to his poor background. This restricted his promotions as younger officers overtook him and gained higher posts. At 40 years of age, he contracts cancer and passes away. His dying wish was, "God! If I reincarnate as a human, please let me complete my studies..."

When he woke up, he finds himself in the body of a 15-year-old high school freshman with the name Kanzaki Hiiro. With zero-knowledge about novels, manga or anime how will our protagonist deal with the life of a rom-com protagonist?

Status: ch. 10 - friday night

As this is a recent novel and I'm on the latest chapter so far, this will be an early review.

I really enjoy the trope subversions the author is making in this novel. As a new author myself, I can respect the thought and style they are implementing.

I truly hope they continue with this novel and am looking forward to future chapters.

    Ps. Hoping for harem shenanigans.

Safe to say that this is the most tamed harem fic we have on this website right now considering how sleazy and over the top all the others seem to be.

I'm on the latest chapter and man I absolutely love it. Good work for the author here and I encouraging you to read this novel here.

-no cliche (no pervert kind of scene or like that cliches stuff)

-calm protagonist (which is awesome, its rare now aday)

11 chapters not gonna write an overall review but man 11 chapters are like gold.

The story feels too bland so does the characters. MC feels like a cyborg in a human body who is tuned to perform tasks efficiently. The whole novel is small talks. I did this in the morning and this in the evening bla bla blah. It is even more infuriating than cliche harem novels. There are way too many female characters and the MC is not interested in any of them and this novel has a harem tag too. I dont see the point of this story at all

I'm really not a fan of Harem tags (I have never read a novel where romance was properly handled without completely destroying natural human behaviour or realism), but this story has been an exception thus far.

The comedy and the reincarnation is well delivered, the denseness is just about right and the sometimes unrealistic situations are handled splendidly for the common reader to enjoy.

    A respectable 5/5 for now!

Nice and relaxing without the usual blockhead MC you'd find in the usual isekai story.

The word flow and pacing is decent with only occasional spelling errors or missing verbiage or indicative stance. Problems found in the writing can easily be fixed by a good proofreader.

The story is a refreshing twist on the same-old-same-old that you find in isekai these days. The sheer 'No-Bullsh*t-Military-Life' personality the MC has is reminiscent of every career military personnel I can remember. Get sh*t done, do it to your best ability, if you can't do it, inform your superior what you lack in either materials or training while expecting to either have a solution presented or an extension to find a solution yourself.

The grammar is only occasionally off, not enough to take away from the magic of the story, but enough to interrupt wordflow.

    Overall, a very good read.

Really chill story, love the premise of the story, the story telling and the characters. The author doesn't go into deep details about anything and everything which I can get behind. As a casual writer the quality is really good and it even gets better later on.

    5/5 chill story
