It's been a fun read so far, and I enjoyed the fast pacing and deadpan humor.
The imagery is well written, ranging from anime-like (a character's eyes flashing silver) to amusing (a character fluttering "like a banner" after being pulled along by another character) to terrifying (the dream imagery).
Also like the contrast between the overly positive Gou Zing and the antisocial gourmand Sek Gon and am curious to see how their interactions play out later on in the story.
