I just couldn't get behind this story. While I love a good kingdom/army building novel as much as the next guy, I REALLY disliked the whole 'Reader Involvement' aspect of the novel, where there is a poll at the end of each chapter that decides what happens next in the story. There was little to no natural flow of story since the story itself was bound to the whims of a bunch of random people. While a lot of the decisions were... acceptable... some of them were downright illogical and mindbogglingly stupid, "just for kicks", which really isn't what I want to invest my time in while reading a large novel. I don't know, people seem to enjoy this novel for what it is, but if you like structure and a good flow in your story, this novel is not for you.
As a side note, the constant jumping around to please the whims of the chapterly poll made the MC seem like a piece of cardboard with no personality, since you can't realistically give him a personality under such a writing style.
I like the book. I like the writing. I like the premise. The only thing I don't really like, even though I try to, is the reader interaction part of it... Just the stupitidy of people...
I read a couple of interactive series before and most of the voters just disregard caution, knowing that the author would usually try to keep the MC alive...
I'd like to see a non-interactive version of the series, just to see what it would be like but I know that it'd be unlikely.
This is a rare treat. A book that is written well AND has an interesting premise. The interactivity is a fun little gimmick, and it really makes you feel connected to the world.
This is a book written by an Author. And you can feel the difference.
it was fun for maybe 30 chapters but then creativity died. Always same actions happend. There arent problem solving at all, just spam 2 skills constantly until they solve everything that because story became boring. It could be better.
Well, looking at the tags again after reading this, I guess you do get what you are promised... more or less. Is it good though? Well...I pretty much agree with the points made by fellow reviewer Sun1244. However, I will also add that while I was a bit frustrated with the sudden jumping back and worth in-between the main storyline and those alternate timelines, I also found visiting the latter something of a relief, because I actually liked some of them way more than the real main story.
So far is great with how he is atleast true to his desires but for the most Part has atleast some morals so I'll keep reading it as long as the author don't kill off his 2 sisters or make them enemies. Looks like alpha is starting to see mc with some positive light in her eyes too
“You may now kiss the bride.”
But no kiss ever came.
I’m ripped from my wedding and thrown into a medieval fantasy world with game-like elements. It may seem like a game, but that doesn’t matter to me, because
[Long Chapters] – 10k-15k (May exceed this with multiple parts)

A well written story that I'm enjoying a lot even if some readers tend to pick the most stupid choice from time to time but not the author fault.
