Elias and friends thought it was just a storm, everyone at Avonside University did, but when the clouds cleared and the sky was revealed again, they were met with a strange sky. Gone were the city lights and everything beyond the limits of their campus, replaced by a mountain wilderness. Elias is further swept away when he is torn from his friend's grasp and transformed beyond recognition. Will the newly dubbed Ryn find her way back to her friends, and or will she return to Avonside to find it ransacked and destroyed by the strange and magical forces that inhabit the new world?

QuietValerie creates another fantastic world. This time one set in a sci-fi-fantasy-isekai-ring world.
The romance~! It is so sweet seeing the relationship between the main character and the female lead slowly being built up, but it can be. Such. A. TEASE! Like I just wish I could reach through the screen and push their lips together! It's so awkwardly adorable when they're nervous and flustered about their feelings for each other I just want to mmmmmmmmmmmmm!
The magic system in this story is so unique. I've never read anything quiet like it.
The magic system uses a grove of various different plant life as a metaphor for a mage's magic. Each flower represents a different spell, and how developed the entire plant grove is, the stronger the mage will be. The story uses a bunch of vocabulary about the many parts and functions of the plants that I'm pretty sure the author has spent the effort to research the study of plants/flora.
It's really fun reading about the MC and her friends as they explore the whacky sci-fi-fantasy-isekai-ring world! Definitely give this a read!

"I have been isekaied to a ringworld along with the whole rest of my university and there is magic and I am a girl inside and outside!" would probably be the overly long title I would give it if it was a lightnovel. But this adventurous story is so much more and everything but "light". Even though it's not as emotionally heavy as the beginning of Trouble with Horns, Ryn of Avonside captivated me at the first chapter. I am currently at a point where I believe that most plot strings have been set up and I can hardly wait to follow the heroine and her friends as they learn about and deal with everything that they have been thrown into.

Update: What makes this story especially great is that it has a romantic slowburn as an important part of the story but it doesn't simply end as soon as the relationship is established. This is a story with a love-filled life in a fantasy world as I have always wanted it. Basically, if you read this, you can have the cake and eat it too!

Probably my favorite transgender + fantasy setting story. It is just so much fun and just radiates happiness and cuteness without sacrificing plot.

I like the story tho Ryn is very much overpowered and it's quite boring to always see storys going into that direction but well at least this story got more than just overpowered chraracter thing going for it. What I noticed is that Male chraracters dont receives much love in this novel and those that do are trans/gay other wise not really any male characters. (Well ok there is like 3-5 maybe but they are pretty much not relevent or about to.) world building is nice but I feel like author focuses on very small part of map area when they could go bigger story feels like it's missing any real antagonists but it could also be because story is going quite slowly. Also I would like to say that I barely see anyone who can pose threat to protagonist and that feels quite boring but also could be that its just not revealed
Anyway I give this story 3 star but it could be a 4 star if story can star fix male downgrading (I understand teachers are mostly female but well maybe not in higher education but still why is there no interesting/cool male characters?
there is Troy but his trans so dont want to count him
Anyways good novel and I like that this novel does not force push trans/gay unrealistically bullsh*t things that give false impressions to people (there prob is some I think but they are minor that I dont even remember) so ya good novel that anyone can read and not go saying that it's bad.
I'm going to keep reading and will update it if I feel like I should put it lower or higher :)

The writing and editing is excellent. I love a down-to-earth adventure that puts effort into its world-building. One of the most thorough and well-done stories I've read on Scribblehub/NU.
I'm struggling to read past ch100. The story keeps stagnating with bland chapters about romance, side-characters doing nothing, and magic crafting. The author glosses over fun stories that affect plot, like building a trade-empire in an alien town. The pace just keeps getting worse.
Sadly, the author guts most story elements to make everything about LGBT. Every known relationship is gay & plot twists are trans reveals (3 of 5 adventurers become trans). MC gets magic and wants to make medicine, only gender-hormones, other diseases don't exist. This scifi-fantasy world introduces lots of marvel and danger, including a living incarnation of hell, but the story just rants about trans issues & the main villain is now a petty transphobic girl. This story is made for people whose entire personality revolve around being LGBT. Much potential wasted.

for your avrage person that tired of genderbent hi im random ho im a girl now whatever goes on make a harem this isn't it genderbend here is really important part of the story and transgender a little overboard for the cast in this regard maybe but very good from a emotion point and thank billy for no harem so tired of that
another thing is that the magic system is really cool never seen such a take on it
only downside its like 1- 2 chater a moth witch is a shame as this is really good

Hey I really like this story. I came here after reading the majority of it on Amazon via Kindle Unlimited. It's currently there under the book title "New World After The Storm". Posted there by someone called Michael Andrade.
Thought you should know as your work has been stolen and being used by someone else to make themselves money.

A very solid read. The characters are all very well fleshed out and have believable personalities and reactions to things. Nothing understated or overblown. The MC has a rather quick curve to their power gain, but it is balanced and doesn't feel at odds with the story or the world. No sudden power creep of the enemies being 'God' or something equal, just some rogue powerful enemies and the normal mortal 'government' infighting/politics. The LGBTQ elements aren't over the top or in your face, it is a major part of the plot and character interactions but that is also pretty much like reality. So if you aren't some form of bigot it shouldn't bug you too much if at all. Overall a very entertaining novel with some new and unique ideas that is well written and nicely paced.

Up to chapter 95 and the story continues to evolve with new locales, people coming in and leaving the story. Some we may never see again, others that may surprise us with an appearance as a friend, ally or an unknown. There are so many unlocked doors that remain to be opened and explored. It is a rich tapestry of literary work that could go on for a very long time.
And you come to care about the characters, you can relate to what is happening to them. Both human and inhuman creatures have flaws and hidden strengths.

The story is very good and the characters and their backgrounds are well developed. Some of the characters really became my favorites.
I hope that the author will continue the adventures of Ryn and her companions. I am very curious to see how the fate of Avonside will develop, how it will become a city-state and how its inhabitants will adapt to the ring world.
I look forward to the continuation. I hope the author has not abandoned her "children" permanently.
