Old and new geopolitical blocs are seeking to dominate the new order beyond Earth and Luna. One such bloc, codenamed the Alliance, recruits Yang Ru to destabilize Mars, in hopes of securing a political and economic foothold on that planet. Yang Ru’s work stokes the flames of civil war on Mars. Two factions emerge, Colonel Valesquez’s 508th Vanguard and Zeyk Duval’s Concerned Citizenry, claiming ownership over the direction of Mars’ uncertain future.

As Mars burns, the violence begins rippling outward. The Alliance and the Alliance’s adversaries begin posturing and readying for bloody and protracted shadow wars throughout the Verse.

In the future, there is a major war ravaging between two great nations. In a dropship that got shot down, an injured android crawls out of the ashes to find himself surrounded by the wreckage and remains of his fallen comrades and squadmates. His underlying will to survive is challenged by his injuries and his logical understanding of his purpose, as he faces the choice between letting himself die or finding the will to live. (That's what I have so far)

This story was based on my extreme love for anything sci-fi-related. If this gets even a tiny amount of interest, then I'll consider taking the general synopsis and turning it into an actual book. I would appreciate getting any type of feedback, whether good or bad -- and if there are any grammar mistakes, please feel free to point them out.

Update #1 (6/30/21) - I put quotations around "short-story", as it is a little long. It's probably going to separate into 3 parts (or chapters), and for now, I'm going to put in the first part and see what kind of feedback I get. Hope you guys like it. Also, the title is a working title, as I'm not too sure about it either.
