Akio was an average guy, having moved to the big city from his humble town in the mountains. Sure, his IT freelancing job wasn't making him big money, and he wasn't exactly a hit with the ladies, but life wasn't all that bad... until one day a mysterious angel-like being visited him to tell him the Earth was in danger. Many would be chosen to fight this fate, but would any succeed?

Join Akio as he starts at the bottom of the ladder, clawing his way to the top and discovering one can change their destiny, so long as they work hard (and have a boat-load of money!).

[This story is a modern world LitRPG where I try and balance the real world, the other world and various character-development scenarios. The pace can be described as 'measured', as there is a lot of 'slice-of-life' style events to balance 'number-go-up' and Territory capture]

What can you expect from this story? MC and side characters who are flawed and make mistakes, but ultimately grow and change, bettering themselves and the world around them. Yes, the MC does start off a bit weak and whiny, but he does get over it as the story progresses. It's a slow burn though.

Likewise Harem and romance. it is most definitely harem, though again it's a slow burn and not easy to reach. There are some r18 scenes with them, but these don't happen until a fair way into the story.

Real-world consequences of power. I'm trying to explore this slowly, so expect politics down the line.

Base-building in both the real and the other world, growing power, money, influence and more. it's a slow burn but a focus.

Cultivators, Faeries, Demons, Gods and more, though again, it takes a while for more and more of these to appear.

So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything.
Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls don’t pay much attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story.

Updated Summary: With the creation of different dimensions and universes, came forth intelligent beings. To regulate these dimensions and universes, higher beings took control of containers called UniOrbs. These containers not only regulated the Gods and the souls of those worlds but also dictated the processes of reincarnation. The UniOrb could not do this on their own, so they contracted souls to become "Systems" that made sure souls were able to reincarnate, but not all souls were fortunate enough to do so. "Systems" then teamed up with souls called "Hosts" to make sure unfortunate souls got their wishes fulfilled, their souls healed properly, and ready for reincarnation. A galaxy-wide creator of life found its purpose for the first time since its birth eons ago. It had wanted to see how its most beloved child would live.

However, she has died, and the one who killed her has gained even more strength.

This divine being became enraged. It had never felt such pure hatred before. It behaved a bit recklessly as a result.

It called upon an ancient power, far above it in rank. This supreme authority chose to fulfill the deity's request for vengeance. But, He sent His cute little children in His stead.

His two inexperienced kids, named Ajax and Shaula, were born as humans on the planet Earth. On the last day of their 12th grade, they are plucked from Earth by their Father and sent to a new world called Omicron. Here, they will face the greatest challenge of their lives so far, and take up the burden of their birthright.

Finding and killing a god should be the easy part of the story.
