Unfortunately for him, the universe is unreasonable, and through a random stroke of astronomically bad luck, his life ended. He would not be reborn with power, status, or fame. No, he was not destined for rebirth at all. This is a tragedy of what was once a man, as he sacrifices anything to remain Hector.

This is Hector's Chronicle, a man who first step was to face the abyss and state his price for humanity.
##### Authors Note
This is my take on Isekai. This is certainly not power fantasy, or at least certainly not for the main character. Read too much generic slop, too many harems, cheaply inserted slavery, unearned power and shallow characters/settings.
This is my story, where I put a somewhat competent, but flawed, character into a world that will move without him. One where he lives without divine favour, where he must painstakingly fight for every scrap he gets and still sacrifice for it. This story will chew him up and spit him out.
I’m going to (try) and be careful to balance the good and bad of humanity, instead of doing some over the top grim dark slop. With rounded characters that exist beyond the protagonist.
The story has a plan about 40 chapters ahead, and I generally write about 10 chapters ahead of where it's currently published so I can keep the story cohesive. There will be multiple protagonists, I'm aiming to have it so each protagonist could carry a story by themselves without cluttering the pacing.
(Spoilers ahead)
We'll be shifting genre a bit as it progresses, shifting from survival to politics and strategy.
At its core, this is a tragedy, and not a shallow one. It is a tragedy in the sense that it's a train crash you can see coming, Hectors life is not a consequence of bad luck (entirely), it's a consequence of his actions and he would not have it any other way. If his dreams are destined to end in hell, then that is the journey he will take.
