Iwashita Takasue lusted for the head position and led a number of rebellious clan elders as well as allies to attack the Tokihiko Faction, dragging Sen Iefusa’s parents into the crossfire.

With the death of his parents, Sen Iefusa – who was away from home at the time – vowed to take revenge against Iwashita Takasue. Gathering his men as well as some survivors from his father’s army, the young lord besieged the Takasue Faction.
