If you can tolerate a couple of seeming tropes (i.e. the Chosen One etc.) for 5 or so chapters, I promise that The Eternal War will diverge into much more interesting storylines. I also thoroughly enjoy trying to subvert tropes, although how successful I am with that is up to the individual reader, of course.
