When the nameless protagonist wakes up in an unknown world without memories, being a slave to the Baron, a so called "Adventurer", is the least he expected. He soon finds out that "Adventurers" are players from another world, a "real" world somewhere out there, who are stuck in this game which they now have to call their new home. The death of the Great Hero Arslan, the Godslayer, during the final raid of this game world split the Playerbase into two groups: The Heavenly Union in the west, which lives in harmony with the inhabitants of this world, and Carnifex in the east, which sees the NPCs as a means to an end for their ultimate goal.

When the Nameless is the only slave released from captivity he is willing to quest for gold to buy his friends free. He sets out on an adventure which might bring back his memories while at the same time making him the great new hero of this otherworld. Raiding bosses, leveling up and looting gear are all par for the course when uniting the players and NPCs alike to take another shot at killing this world's gods.

"I Woke Up In Another World As A Slave" is a debut web serial in the Isekai/LitRPG genre by two student buddies (IgLu Books) exploring class divide, comeradery and heroism in a player-run video game world long after the game has started. But hey, it's better for a hero to show up late than never, right?
