After a decade of reconstruction Flammin had gone through to become as powerful as those who destroyed her home, the Relic Queen Nike takes the former living paintbrush to complete the final stages of her training: flying. For a small moment, Flammin had an epiphany of Nike, the divine living trident and mentor who bonded with her throughout the rigors of her transformation into what she is now.

This short story is part of my worldbuilding xenofiction project, World of Relics. This project encompasses a world of living objects and relics that came to rise shortly after the Inversion Event, an event that killed both mortals and their gods, stole their souls, and remade them into living objects. Author here, I got some bad news for anyone who wants to get into this series. This is not meant to be anything but the flimsiest of hobbies for me to unleash some creative juices. I like to think of stories in my head but I cant write them down quick enough or competently enough to be satisfied as an author. As such there will not be any regular updates to this. Maybe you will get a chapter every week, maybe there will be years between, I dont know.

Furthermore this is just based on taking a concept and running with it. I have no plans for a story arch beyond a few planned encounters and set pieces. If this story somehow actually becomes something I will go back and re-write it with a better vision of what it should be. Take this as the rambling scribbles that they are and nothing more.

In regards to the content warnings I do not intend to write about any hanky panky simply because I am really bad at it but I intend to keep both strong language and gore open simply because I want to be able to add it without feeling restricted and not because I actually intend to aim towards that type of content. <<less
