Lifting a leg, I kicked the monkey again while pulling out the sword sending it flying, leaving a trail of blood that dripped off the blade of the sword and the ground between us.

*Ding* 1/10 points.

Catching my breath and calming myself down, I proceeded to a different area.

Around 10 minutes later a boar appeared this time. It snorted before charging at me.

“...” dodging to the side I stabbed the sword inside while gripping the handle tightly, using its momentum to leave a cut along its flank.

The boar howled in pain, unable to get up. I didn’t approach it this time and waited for it to bleed out.

Hopefully no one will killsteal it…

Paying attention to the surroundings, I spotted another creature approaching. It was a gorilla this time, causing me to run in fear.

It’s fur was a silver shade while its eyes were purple. Dimension beast!

Different from normal creatures, without special means it was impossible to harm them. Luckily the basic weapons given from the simulation were made of Dimensional Iron.

Seeing me it roared while charging towards me. As it was too fast, I could barely react to it. My only choice was using the flat of the sword to block. The impact caused me to spit out blood before sending me flying.

So unlucky!

Feeling my entire body about to shatter, I quickly rolled to the side to dodge its foot. Using the slither of dimension energy that I accumulated, I coated it over myself and the sword in the process.

Getting upwards I slashed it towards the incoming fist. Different from previously, I easily sliced through it, causing it to roar in pain. Not giving it a chance, I stabbed the gorilla in the throat. Looking at those muscles on its chest.

!!! I just noticed, ahh! Why bother stabbing there! After the gorilla fell onto the ground, I just realized I could’ve stabbed its groin. Nn! Next time let’s aim there instead…

Wiping the sweat off myself, I tiredly continued. So unlucky! This gorilla was only worth 1 point just like the others…

Looking at my energy reserve, I only had 2 left. From level 1 to 10 is just an accumulation of 1 unit of energy to 10. My capacity could only hold 5 units of dimensional energy. That gorilla had taken up over half.

Feeling slightly panicked, I continued forward. 3 points and it's already been an hour.

Going through the foliage, when a huge mouth suddenly bit into my shoulder.

“Kya!” letting a scream in pain, I was lifted into the air by a giant snake. It threw me upwards before raising its mouth to swallow me whole.

Gritting my teeth, I resisted the numbness and corrosion using the rest of the dimension energy I saved up, I stabbed the sword into the insides of the dimensional snake causing it to wave around in pain. However its body continued to convulse and bring me deeper, while leaving a larger trail innside it.

Eventually it stopped wriggling, and remained motionless. I struggled before slicing a slit on the snake and climbing out of it. Seeing my uniform full of holes I blushed, when I suddenly felt dizzy. It seems that the snake was poisonous…

4/10… While feeling extremely light headed and out of it, I accidentally ran into a bear. Luckily it wasn’t a dimensional monster otherwise I would be finished, with 3 in a row.

While I stared the bear down, it stared at me as well. It let out a roar, while slowly walking towards me.

I held the sword’s handle tighter while trying to keep my consciousness. Even if I knew I wouldn’t be able to escape this, I could only fight on. I was out of energy and numbed, even if I survived I wouldn’t reach 10 points.

Sneaking a glance at the timer, it’s already been 2 hours.

I slowly retreated a few steps back before hitting a tree. Seeing its chance the bear raised itself upwards before raising its paws before swiping it down at me.

Chance!

Charging forward while dodging the paw, I stabbed the sword as hard as I could into its chest. The bear struggled sending me flying along with the sword, leaving a trail of blood.

Suddenly with the sound of a gunshot, the bear’s head exploded causing me to be startled.Turning around, I found that the one who shot the bear dead was Caili. Someone who was level 7, who seems to especially hate me for some reason. If it wasn’t for Jessica defending me, I’m pretty sure I would’ve ended up miserable.

“Too bad Xi, your bear’s been taken by me. Hmph, from now on you’ll only be in the mud while I ascend. Hahaha!”

Helpless, I struggled to get up, however my body couldn’t move.

“Out of energy Xi? Then I’ll send you your way, lest you get eaten or worse.” She walked over before raising a gunbarrel at me. “Bye~”

Along with the sound of a gunshot, I was returned back to the area of grass. Alongside me there were a few others as well. Everyone had dejected looks, well it makes sense… we couldn’t enter the Spirit Pavillion this time.

I gulped, luckily my family wasn’t extremely strict on me because of my brother. Also, Jessica wasn’t eliminated yet as well causing me to feel relieved.

Sneaking a glance at the stern faced instructor, I found that he was currently sitting on a crate in the middle of the field while looking at the timer.

There were 45 minutes remaining.

Time slowly passed while we nervously waited. Or rather the rest nervously waited, to be honest this instructor wasn’t really scary to me. It's like jumping down from a height higher than usual, or doing a flip.

If you’ve done it once, the second time won’t be as scary, and I’ve already fallen asleep in his class before so I’m not especially scared.

Letting out a yawn, I straightened my back when I noticed that the instructor looked over with sharp eyes again. Nervously laughing, I decided to stare at the trees in front of me.

That Cailin… if I wasn’t practicing that weird manual, I would’ve definitely wiped the floor with her! Ignoring the instructors gaze, I closed my eyes to meditate. I’m definitely not falling asleep!
