<corny attention noise>
[S-So I guess I'm supposed to welcome everyone right? Doing this in front of a crowd is a bit....] - Rose
[Jus imagine them naked! It always works for me! Mmmmm... naked...] - Veronica
[That's cause your a pervert Ver, that kind of thing won't work with Rose.] - Malaise
[....yeah.] - Shade
[So is it true you used to be a man? What was sex like? Are penises fun? Ooh! did you do any butt stuff?!?! OW!!!] - Veronica
[Calm down! We don't know that stuff in the main story yet and it's not like you'll remember her answers! Also... eww.] - Malaise
[H-hahaha...] - Rose
[....questions.] - Shade
[A-ah! Right I almost got distracted! W-Welcome to our first ever Q/A chapter where we answer the reader's burning questions! Our creator @TheMangaGod had people send them messages to their inbox of things to answer and embarrassingly we only got a few this time! They let me know privately that they're not sure if that's because people aren't interested in learning more about the world or if they're doing a good job at answering questions with the gallery and in-story content... oh and they're telling me now that I wasn't supposed to reveal all of that. U-Umm so forget it!] - Rose
[I'm not sure if that'll work Rose...] - Malaise
[Oh! I hope there's dirty questions!] - Veronica
[W-we actually limited questions this time to the world I find myself in so nothing dirty at the moment. Our creator told me that the next Q/A might be about the various demi-races and information about them, including mating practices and n-naughty stuff... s-so embarrassing!] - Rose
[...first question?] - Shade
[Oh! R-Right! Umm our first question is "What are the proportions of the inhabitants in this new world? Is it 50% human 50% demi? What is the proportions of demi's (are lamia's rare, what is the rarest demi?)?" D-Do you want to answer this one Mal? You're more knowledgeable about biology.] - Rose
[Sure can, so the first part of the question is about the percentage of demi's versus humans. Hmm well that question is actually interesting because the continent that Rose's country is on is actually only one part of the world and humans are in larger numbers on said continent than the rest of the world. The rough answer is that humans make up over 60% of the population on their continent with other continents having less human influence normally.] - Malaise
[What about lamia? Are we rare?] - Rose
[Actually no, lamia have a fairly large country that border's both a desert and rainforest area and have one of the largest populations of demi's on the continent. This also makes them near the top as far as political and military power.] - Malaise
[What about other races?] - Rose
[Ooh! I know this one! Succubi and Incubi make up a large amount of the demi with their country near the northern tip of the continent! We have babies AAALL the time, I think I have like 13 other siblings and a good several hundred cousins!] - Veronica
[I-Is that so?] - Rose
[M-Moving on the rest of the continent is split between various beast races with the largest beast race country by far being the lion king. I've also heard that Arachne are a thing below the surface but it's only a rumor. After that is the lizardmen in the swamps of the middle of the continent. And lastly the various Fae races with the lowest numbers, on our continent at least. There are rumors of entire continents of Fae folk.] - Malaise
[L-Lion king? Like the movie?] - Rose
[What's a movie? Some kind of beast person?] - Malaise
[N-nevermind... Umm, next question is "What types of magic are there? Normal elements only? Or are there outliers like void, space etc?"] - Rose
[U-Umm I think I can answer this from legal loli sensei's class. W-well the normal elements definitely exist as well as space and time magic. The magic system in this world seems to follow science pretty closely with both fire and ice magic actually being part of the same type of magic and air magic has to do with pressure I think? D-Did I do well Mal?] - Rose
[Ehh you got it mostly right but I've been told that the specifics of how magic works will be dealt with soon, I guess the school arc was a good thing then?] - Malaise
[O-okay I guess, moving on our next question is "Can we get a reminder on the technological advancement of this world? I don't think there are guns(as the duke didn't use them, but I believe railroads and trains were mentioned)", actually I've been wondering this myself. Magic worlds don't generally have thriving science right?] - Rose
[And you've been to so many different magic worlds right?] - Malaise
[I-I guess not?] - Rose
[....I can answer this one. Science and technology is around the steam age with a few exceptions because of how the advancement came about. ...an engineer was reincarnated into our world over a hundred years ago and he spread many modern technologies to the rest of the world. Apparently he didn't like guns though, whatever those are. ...I've been told by the Author to say that cannons exist though have limited use because of all the flying creatures.] - Shade
[.....I think that's the most I've ever seen Shade say in one go...] - Veronica
[Me too...] - Malaise
[U-Umm next up is an interesting one because it has to do with Master Lao Shi, "Are there gods? Do they manifest?".] - Rose
[Oh right the author wants me to say that they had actually planned to have a small scene with Rose and her family going to a chapel in an earlier chapter but they forgot to so they wanted to apologize for that. Anyway the answer is yes there are gods and while they haven't manifested recently they did so in the past. @TheMangaGod wants me to tell everyone that they will do several chapters on Gods and how they work as the story progresses because realistically Rose wouldn't know about that yet.] - Malaise
[O-Our last question is about the world of Miscalis in general and the time stuff, "How does time work? You said that the planet is bigger than Earth so how big is it?"] - Rose
[The author told me to say that it is about 5 times larger than Earth and orbits it's sun at a little over double the distance that Earth does. This makes it's atmosphere extremely dense because of higher gravity which allows for far larger creature's. Atmosphere is basically similar to Earth's in composition except for the presence of mana particle's.] - Malaise
[There weren't any sexy questions at aaaaalll! WHY!?] - Veronica
[I told you there wouldn't be any, what do you expect with the topic? Go have fun with yourself if you want l-lewd stuff!] - Malaise
[Hehehe! I think I'll have some fun times with you!!!] - Veronica
[Ahn! W-Wait! D-Don't take those off! Ahn! M-my breasts aren't playthings!] - Malaise
[...and with that we are finished with the first ever Q/A chapter.] - Shade
[H-Help me Shade! Ahn! R-Rose hold her d-down!] - Malaise
[Oooh! Bondage!?! Kinky! Harder Mommy!] - Veronica
[I-I-It's not bondage!] - Rose
<ridiculous ending noise>
Just so you know, gravity actually has an inverse effect on the size of things.
If you look up the tallest mountains in the solar system, the top 10 spots are all taken by planetoids much smaller than Earth. Mars has 4 of those spots and it has a radius less than half of Earth's. (Though erosion has a big effect on that stuff as well admittedly).
But overall, remember the square cube law. Without any sort of supernatural support for larger bodies, it's quite difficult for a creature larger than a bear to show up on 1G without spending almost all of its body structure just keeping it standing (unless if it's aquatic).
You can easily hand wave all of this both through magic, and by saying that your world actually has low density, making the surface gravity less than 1G despite its large size.
The author told me to say that it is about 5 times larger than Earth and orbits it's sun at a little over double the distance that Earth does. This makes it's atmosphere extremely dense because of higher gravity which allows for far larger creature's. Atmosphere is basically similar to Earth's in composition except for the presence of mana particle's.
5 times the size (diameter?) of earth would have incredible gravity (that's over 100x mass of the earth), bar some serious magical hand waving. I'm not sure large architecture would even be possible at that point, yet alone normal looking humans; skeletal structures simply wouldn't support anything that isn't either tiny or horribly deformed.
If you mean 5x the mass of earth, that's more feasible with some magic hand waving, though the question becomes why you specified this? If it's to support larger creatures, you got it the wrong way around: smaller planets would better support larger lifeforms because they're not being crushed under their own weight! Oxygen is a moot point because you can just increase its density in the air or have different metabolisms. No need for increased atmospheric pressure.
... I know it doesn't really matter, but authors usually go for standard earth planets, so it's cool to see someone trying something different, even if that doesn't seem to reflect too much in the world building apart from there being more surface area on the planet?
As for the shape issue, you are right. Any creatures on a planet like this would be shaped completely different in reality to deal with larger gravity. As for air density allowing for absolutely massive flying creatures? Well that's actually been confirmed by a netflix docuseries called Alien World's that's made by real scientists. Basically the air would get compressed by the higher gravity allowing much heavier creatures to fly with very little effort. Although they'd have trouble actually getting off the ground if they landed. You are correct though that air density can be increased by just adding air to the atmosphere, no size difference required. Venus is a good example of this.
another point for this is if rose did slap the prince over a wall with 100 time gravity ,HoLY F. the person even if he was 1000 time as resilient as earth he would be dead and or have is body ripped in half
@sylph I’m not exactly sure what the exact gravity of Miscalis would be since that depends on the exact mass but at a little over 5 times the size of Earth it would be at least 5G. Probably more though
*Cue Benny Hilo’s music and Chase scene ensue*
Well yeah, our mc is the demon dragon god.
Congrats on getting trending
Thank you! It's exciting and scary all at once!
Oops! I ended up forgetting to send my questions. Can I make them in the comments of this chapter or do I have to wait until the next Q / A chapter?
Can succubi in this world use dream magic? What if it is common or rare?
My next Q/A will be a little bit but if you send a message I’ll save it for next time
Thanks for the chapter(ish?)
You're welcome(ish?) lol
I'm surprised how shy Rose is about lewd things considering who Karen is. Then again, I guess they never did get sexual given Karen only able to 'get it up' so to say with women.
I figured the world was far bigger than Earth when it took two years to equal one earth year. It probably spins at the same speed (similar day cycles), but due to Size and Distance, it would make sense for rotations to take longer.
Good call on that Engineer to not spread Firearms. Magic combined with Firearms can get nasty- though I doubt magic barriers can entirely stop any firearms with a higher muzzle velocity than a pistol (400 m/s). Nevermind Armor Piercing, High Explosive, or Hollow Point rounds. Flintlocks would probably be the most complex they could manage to manufacture either way. And even those would smash plate armor.
Plus, working toilets and sewage systems is far nicer of the kind of stuff to bring to a fantasy world than warfare related things.
Hundreds of Cousins, huh...? Succubi are probably the most densely packed of the Demis, then. Like Japan if their off-work craziness was widespread. Lamia and Beastmen are probably the more powerful of the kingdoms related to Demis when it comes to military since I don't see Succubi, if Veronica is a typical one, being too interested in taking over land space or finding fighting that fun.
You would be right on all fronts
As Austin she had a small amount of experience but was still weak against aggressive women. So not a virgin but fairly innocent
@TheMangaGod I imagine the succubi are like the second half of this strip by Merryweather.
https://mangadex.org/chapter/705395/1
@Avidya I just read that! And yes... succubi are eternal partiers
