It appears that i'm back in the cathedral, and considering that the old priest is still talking about the church mythos with Cherié attentively listening. No time has passed since my conversation with the Seraphim. We continue the tour while i collect my thoughts and sort thru 30,000 years worth of memories.

What. The. Hell.

Am i some sort of omnipotent horny 17 year old edgelord? Seriously. Aside from the amazing tech and fancy loot collected i feel embarrassed just watching. Well no pain no gain. I focus on looking for schematics, everything from new power supplies to perhaps even a way back to earth. Shame i can't enjoy the looking at the rest of the cathedral while i sort thru all of these memories, i can just have Cherié take pictures with her DNI.

Eventually we reach the end of the tour. We leave the cathedral and went immediately back to the cave safehouse. After a few days of non-stop driving on the Antelope we reach the safehouse. I start laying down these schematics and get to work modifying just about everything. I even got mining charges to make room for the Gateway, a device to let me travel between Enigma and Earth. Though i quickly run into a problem. I don't have the funds. I don't have the points to get the materials and equipment to build the Gateway.

We return to the Merchant City and enter the adventurers guild. I notice the dragon head mounted above the reception desk. I walk up to see Ruby manning the desk.

-Hello.

-Oh Snake! Welcome its been so long, where have you been?

-Oh just travelling along and doing some work. Speaking of which, any new contracts.

-oh right! I almost forgot, the guildmaster wanted to meet you. He said he has something for you.

-Where is he now?

-He should still be in his office.

-Okay then, Cherié wait here.

I head upstairs to meet Alfred. I'm sure Cherié will handle anyone trying to mess with her

Cherié's POV

Master apparently is going to meet the guildmaster. I guess it must be important. I guess i'll  just  wait here. A large bald adventurer walks up to me.

-Aren't you a little small to be here girl?

-Aren't you a little big to be playing with little girls?

The rest the guild bursts out in laughter.

-You hear that Igdor? Hahaha!

-I didn't think she had such a sharp tongue!

The adventurer turns red in anger. He prepares to swing at me but is stopped by a blonde haired young man who looks suspiciously like what Master called a "dumbass white Knight".

-Igdor, lay off will you.

-Hmph, fine but you owe me.

-Don't worry miss i'll protect you.

He tries to comfort me by putting his hand on me but i brush him off. I walk towards the big guy and stick my hand out taunting him.

-c'mon try me.

His face turns red again and the rest of the guild bursts into laughter again. I even see the receptionists laughing. He swings his fist at me. The blondie tries to stop him but he's to late.

-Why you!

-Igdor wait!

-AAAAARRRGGHHH!!!!!

I catch his fist and slowly crush his knuckles. I then twist his arm breaking it.

-AAAAARRRGGHHH!!!!!!!

-What was that about being a little small.

I twist his arm abit more. Thanks to Master's training i know exactly how to maximise the pain.

-Please stop! (Igdor)

-Why should i? (Cherié)

-Cause i say so. (Snake)

Snake's POV

After that long and boring conversation with Alfred i walked downstairs to see Cherié twisting some buff guy's arm with some dumbass white knight looking dude in shock.

I walk up to Cherié to tell her to stop.

-Cherié, stop playing with your food.

-Yes sir.

She let's go of him and we walk out the guild.

-What now Sir?

-We got 3 contracts from the guildmaster. The first is a giant horseshoe crab queen lurking in the deathly marshes a dozen kilometers from here. The second is a nest of bipedal reptilian killing machines, with 15 inch long sickle shaped claws. And the third is a pack of wolves led by a massive Dire Wolf.

-And how much is the payment?

-Enough cash to fund my projects and a lot of pocket money for you. Oh and when we finish this we get S-rank adventurer cards.

-Isn't that something you shouldn't just say willy nilly Sir?

-Eh, i really only care about the cash.

We head out of the city and hope in the antelope and drive off to the first target, the Crab Queen.

Should i put the long and boring conversation in a side chapter?
