Waiteus. (3)

Once the night had come and Jun's training was almost done, Scoa told him that he needed a weapon to be able to control the strength that he had and that he was going to have in the future.

"Waiteus."

He said.

Jun was in front of the old man, his face showed confusion, because what the god was saying did not make much sense.

"Why should I adapt to a new weapon? Besides, what the heck is a 'Waiteus'?"

"Simple, Waiteus will be your weapon, a scythe that you must use to defeat the gods and their races."

As the conversation unfolded, an aura grew behind the old man's back, a crimson aura that reminded Jun of the power of pure chaos that the god himself had, yet this aura seemed not to come from him, but from someone else.

However, Jun decided to ignore it, because he did not have much interest in knowing everything the god was planning, he only wanted to be able to leave the town and not have to see anyone who lives there ever again.

“I refuse, a scythe? How rough do you want me to be? A sword would be much more efficient."

“It seems that you still don't understand it… kid, there is no weapon in this world that can compare to Waiteus when it's used by someone capable, moreover, it is a weapon more adaptable to your Arkimum, it connects to the mind of its owner, which makes it more precise."

Jun was visibly upset due to having to use such an old-fashioned weapon like a scythe.

"I won't, old man, you've already been too much of a bother for me."

"I suppose it will be better if I show it to you than if I tell you, I hope it changes your mind."

After saying that, the old man extended his hands forward and clapped.

In that instant, a rift formed in the ground, a rift that expelled an incredible amount of magic, although it was colorless, so that meant only his power could be felt, but not his element.

From the rift, a black scythe began to emerge, it had several strange marks on it's handle and three claws on the lower tip of it, the middle one being a little longer than the others.

Its blade was divided by the handle, having a smaller part and a larger one, the both of them merged in what seemed to be the head of a rare beast in Xandem, a panda bear.

The blade itself also had drawn runes, runes that seemed capable of being activated with any kind of magic.

Jun was astonished at the sight that was unfolding before him, although at first he did not want to use a scythe, he changed his mind when he understood the power it had, that was because even withouth trying anyone would notice that this was a special weapon.

'I hate this damn old man, always trying to be the best and annoying me, agh, I shouldn't have accepted his mission... I guess I'll have to use that scythe, it's impossible to deny his power... damn.'

"So you finally see reason... Ah, I don't understand this boy, how can he be so stubborn..."

The old man seemed to be talking to himself, which he used to do often.

"Hey, hey, when did I allow you to read my mind?"

"Who cares? Here, try Waiteus yourself."

At that moment, the scythe that had come out of the rift flew towards Jun. Once the young man had it in his hands, the rift closed, as if it had accepted that the scythe would not return from the way it came.

'What is this pressure?'

Just by having it in his hands, Jun could feel the immeasurable amount of power that layed in that scythe, added to this, his curiosity led him to infuse it with more of his magic, which made the runes of the blade began to shine with a deep crimson color.

'So this happens if I use chaos magic, how about wind magic then…'

The blade, which until then was red, turned to white in less than an instant, as it was filled with wind magic, when performing some movements, Jun could feel how he controlled the air using the scythe, which surprised him.

"Try your newly learned Arkimum, you will notice the difference with that sword you had."

As if he was reading his mind, Scoa spoke and Jun, although annoyed to hear the god speaking, wasn't going to waste no time in testing it's power.

He automatically infused the weapon with the same boost magic he had infused his body earlier, which generated a small explosion from Waiteus's blade, after this, the eyes of the panda's head on the handle seemed to be expelling magic and, in turn , the blade, which was already infused with it, took on a white color, while it was also surrounded by a red aura.

"Now I just have to use my mind."

Jun began to move, using his thoughts to move Waiteus.

Every thought of Jun regarding the movement of the weapon was transmitted to it without error, achieving a perfect synchronization with his mind.

Applause was heard behind Jun, it was Scoa, who decided to make one last revelation.

"Fine, fine, you're almost done, now you just need to meet your partner."
