Zhangsun Xun Yi knocked on his disciple’s door only to be met with the same response that he had gotten the last time: silence, absolute silence. His brows locked in an even tighter frown than usually and he pushed the door open without further ado. Of course, the room was empty.

Zhangsun Xun Yi heaved a heavy sigh and rubbed his brow. This disciple! If he had known that things would turn out like this, he might not have accepted him even though he had understood sword energy! A disciple that didn’t listen to their Master at all wasn’t a good disciple. How was he supposed to teach him anything if this boy didn’t care about his words at all?

This had to stop! Thankfully, he had already gone and asked that man for permission to have his disciple enter the Yun Zou Sect’s special dimension. He would just put the child in there for a while and have him hone his mind. His patience would benefit and maybe he would also learn to listen to his elders.

The Grandmaster nodded to himself and once again left his palace. He pondered for a moment and then ignored the inner sect. If the previous way of finding his disciple told him anything, then the boy would certainly be in the outer sect, spying on the women once more. As shameful as this was, he wouldn’t waste any time if he already suspected that things would be like this. It wouldn’t change anything about his disciple’s shameful behavior anyway.

Indeed, just when he reached the outer sect’s valley between the peaks, he spotted his disciple lying flat on the roof of a building, intently staring at the windows of the house on the opposite side. Zhangsun Xun Yi furrowed his brows and landed beside him. He didn’t even dare to take a look at what was going on behind those windows. "Qiu Ling, I’ve told you to stay in the room and meditate, didn’t I?"

Qiu Ling blinked and wondered if it would work if he pretended that this man wasn’t there. His beloved was still sweeping the main hall. And it was exactly the same main hall where those other children had dared to splash his beloved with water before. This was the place where he definitely had to pay special attention to his beloved to make sure that he was alright! He couldn’t be dragged away like the last time!

Unfortunately, the Grandmaster was intent on dragging him away. Zhangsun Xun Yi clasped his hands behind his back and turned to look in the other direction so that he wouldn’t need to see his disciple’s wretched behavior. "You do not know about this but our Yun Zou Sect has a special dimension. It is a realm tied to our sect grounds where a hidden expert is resting. The spiritual energy in that realm is especially high and suitable for cultivating and practicing martial arts as well. I intend to send you there so that you can hone your mind. Being away from any kind of … distractions will certainly serve you well."

Qiu Ling’s brows furrowed. Had this guy just said that his beloved was a distraction? And that he wanted to send him away? So that he wouldn’t be able to see his beloved? That couldn’t be! This wasn’t supposed to turn out like this!

Qiu Ling scrambled to get up, taking his eyes off his beloved for a moment. Even though he wanted to continue watching him, he understood that it was much more important to solve this matter with his so-called Master first. He definitely couldn’t be taken away. He still needed to make sure that his beloved would be alright!

"Master, what are you saying? I stayed in that room and meditated. It’s just that …" His gaze flitted about and he searched for a good excuse. It had to be something that sounded important or at least more important than meditating. "Uh … I … I heard something." Qiu Ling straightened up and nodded to emphasize his words. "I could feel that something very bad was happening out here. So I came to take a look. You know, I’m always standing on the side of righteousness. How could I just ignore the common people’s plight?" This should sound like a good excuse, shouldn’t it? He blinked his eyes and looked at his Master expectantly.

Zhangsun Xun Yi … wasn’t impressed. He turned back to his disciple and motioned toward the inner sect. "We will go over to the special dimension. And I expect you to stay there. You will listen to the hidden expert as well. That man is of a lofty status and very strong. If you dare to disrespect him …" Zhangsun Xun Yi didn’t bother to finish his sentence. It should be obvious what this meant. If he offended him, it was his own fault. Anyway, if that man taught his disciple a lesson, he would also look the other way. This boy definitely needed to suffer some setbacks or he might not understand that there were mountains behind mountains and heavens above heavens. If he always acted just like he wanted, then sooner or later, he would provoke somebody he shouldn’t. It was best if he learned this lesson soon and mended his ways while there was still time.

Zhangsun Xun Yi turned around and motioned for his disciple to follow him. Qiu Ling pursed his lips but still pushed off the roof and followed after him.

Well, never mind. He should at least go and take a look at this realm so that his Master would stop nagging him. And when he and that so-called hidden expert didn’t look … Hehe. Then, he could still return to go check on his beloved and nobody would disturb them!
