Yuuta returned home and found only maids and butlers doing their usual work. It's been only a day but still Yuuta developed a soft feeling toward his new parents or to say his only parents and since they were not here, he felt a tiny bit loney but soon he shrugged off that feeling.

Some maids which knew the jerk personality of Yuuta who attacked on them in the past, especially in the absence of his mother, were slightly trembling and stumbling while doing their work.

Yuuta sighed and called for the head maid after sitting  on the couch.

"Yes young master." The head maid , Carol bowed before asking.

"Your cousin which I fired last month, is she still unemployed?". Yuuta asked as from the memory, the cousin of Carol who was in dire need of money started working here after a lot of struggles to enter in this mansion but her face had a burn mark and since Yuuta like only perfect beautiful thing he fired her after shaming her.

'i feel pathetic '. 

"Ye..yes young master." She trembled lightly as the incident also made her hate the young master  and all the rest workers who got the news of it.

"Call her back to work . I had asked mom about it and for the apology for the previous incident her wages would be increased by 20% " . After speaking what he had to say, Yuuta stood up and left for his room.

Carol and other who were eavsdropping on their conversation from start had their jaws dropped to ground , only Carol regained her composure and while weeping she only thanked Yuuta .

"This is the official announcement for the Trinity Cup of the year 2018".

At the school, an assembly was organised for the first year students, where the official announcement and related information would be announced.

Yuuta called Shio for  excercise again in the morning and slightly increased the sessions duration. Shio was also trying his best diligently which made the work a lot easier for Yuuta.

All the basic information were same what Yuuta already knew so he was just passing time while glancing at Mio occasionally and all the time he found her flaming in determinants with ambers emitting from her eyes.

Not her but many others had the same kind of  look .

'How I wish I could also get that much excited'. Yuuta sighed.

"Now the thing we are going to change this year". Only this line made Yuuta curious and he finally paid a little attention toward the centre of the stage.

"As you all know there is a always a substitute other than the three participating members , who can take place any one of them incase of unexpected situations. The substitute is the pawn which just entered the enemy territory and can take any form according ti what the situations need . Our substitute will be the perfect all rounder and this year and for the first time in the whole history of Trinity Cup , a substitute will be the team captain." Yuuta was startled but his expression was calm.

He never saw any substitute and being him the captain in the game he played and it was same for any route .

'The plot is twisting on its own or maybe ..' Yuuta contemplated about the thought of how the best scenario for the protagonist to shine, changed in an instant.

The Trinity Cup was the first platform where the protagonist shined and made his mark but the situation have changed .

"The tests of the substitute will be held seperately . And remember a substitute must have the potential to be any piece of chess before drawing their participation. " After some more blabber the assembly came to an end and everyone were directed back to their classes.

Ofcourse, the competition was the hot topic among every first years however the other two years were also anxious as they already lost their chance to showcase their talent and were waiting for their juniors to avenge them.

At lunch time Yuuta was about to leave for canteen when Shio interrupted him.

"Umm ...Yuuta kun I..if it's okay with you then would you like to eat with us?" Shio asked while fidgeting .

Shio always ate his lunch with Chihiro and Mio and since the later one was his centre of attraction, he nodded without hesitation.

Shio was surprised but regained his composure and led him toward them.

Yuuta brings bento everyday but the old self never took it out as he thought it was childish but Kyousuke found this situation to start what never happened before .

Mio and Chihiro were surprised by the presence of the tall boy with shiny hairs who was standing behind the little  boy who has his cheeks flushed.

"Um.. Chihiro is it okay if Yuuta kun eats with us". Shio asked with eyes literally begging as at this point if Chihiro or Mio declines then a decent punch was to expected for him on his back.

"Um, sure if it's okay with ...well she would love to". Chihiro said while narrowing her eyes teasingly toward Mio.

Mio doesn't have much of a reaction but still her heart felt tingly as it was the first time she was eating lunch with anyone other than his two childhood friends and the special point of this , was that the boy was no one else but the one who lov...

"So are you going to participate?" Mio asked Shio while eating her cabbage rolls.

"Yes . I am really excited and what about you. I know you are very high spirited when it comes to  competitions . " Shio said enthusiastically .

"Ofcourse I will. You know me , I always like to compete with the bests. And I think you can compete for the captain . You just need some physical achievement and I am sure you will be our captian...." Mio continued chatting with Shio while the other two presence were glaring at them furiously while stabbing their fork in their respective lunch.

That 'our captain' made Yuuta heart sting in pain and something started boiling up inside him.

"...haha right and uh..." Suddenly Shio words were cut off when he noticed the murderous glare of Chihiro.

He was flustered and moved his gaze to avoid it as he didn't knew what was the reaon behind it and didn't have much courgae to ask her, but when his eyes fell on the boy sitting beside her , his soul left his body.

Yuuta was clutching his spoon tightly while bending it's neck until its tip touched the backside . His eyes were like bone chilling and lips slightly twitching.

*Gulp* he unconsciously gulped his dry saliva.

"What happened guys . You look scary". Mio said completely oblivious of the situation well Shio was also the same.

"I have decided". Yuuta said following her words.

"I will be the captain for this year".
