Jack bent down to examine it closely, the orb was dark blue in color, with a cloud of black smoke inside, then he put his right hand on top of it.

The orb shines in contact with Jack's hand, he feels the movement of the cloud inside that began to turn on itself, a young woman's voice that we did not know if it was warm, panicked annoyed or all three at once.

"Jack!" The voice said.

Jack looked around him looking startled wondering where this voice could come from.

"Who speaks?" Jack said stunned. "How do you know my name?"

"Little dummy, do not dare to remove your hand without it, we can’t communicate." Said the orb, she sighed. "What took you so much time !? You're late so I'll be short because it happens."

"Incoming?" Jack worried interrupted her.

"Let me explain to you dummy, for starters I was the most powerful mage in your kingdom, young and beautiful, but the dark wizard we faced made me turn into an orb and put me here on this scepter, he thought i was insignificant reduced in this orb and he is right, actually my magic has decreased considerably, nevertheless he took care to position portals around this place to send his servants if I manifested myself. Jack, you have been summoned by the kingdom to protect me from the dark wizard's assaults, become my champion, and push back together his army that ravages our world" She said cheerfully.

Jack kept his calm, questions burst in his head, he did not remember anything, lost in a magic forest with a talking orb and here he should fight for her against a wizard in war against a kingdom, lost in this agitation he decided to play her game.

"How should I call you miss?" Jack said elegantly.

"My name is Arel, nice to meet you Jack, I'm glad you take it so well, no need to wait more," Said the orb in her most beautiful voice. "Now become my champion that I wake up the powers that sleep in you."

"Stop!" Jack interrupted her a second time. "I do not see why I'll do it, what do you offer me in exchange for my protection?"

"You do not really have the choice, we both die if you do not join me, the servant of the dark wizard is going to make a mouthful of you and for me he will steal my strength, but do not worry, once you have accomplished your task, you will be free from this place and I will grant you the wish that you most desire in the world, I will of course make you recover your memory before, oh do not believe that it is me who you've taken it, it's just a side effect of the summoning of the wizards of the realm" She said embarrassed.

Jack began to be interested, more than his memory, the promise to fulfill any wish made him greedy, however he did not know what danger he would have to overcome, such a great gift could not be free.

"What must I do to make you find back your human form?"

"It's very simple you have to kill the servants who come by gate and brought me their crystals, with that I could regain my strength and free myself from this orb, there is a monster that the black magician creates, more powerful than the army of our kingdom, you will have to conquer it and bring me its crystal, it is a gigantic dragon."

Even for a dream Jack had his limits in his generosity and did not want to face a dragon capable of annihilating a kingdom in his flames, he stopped playing her game and decided to go elsewhere.

"Good to meet you Arel goodbye," Jack said, pulling his hand away.

"Do not leave me," she said frightened.

The voice stopped and left Jack alone. The fireflies had disappeared, only the light of the moon lit up this place, Jack felt something coming from the woods, something that managed to crack the dead branches on the ground like a huge crackling fire. A wild beast emerged from the shadows under the white light of the star, Jack saw that the beast looked like a huge wolf the size of a man on all fours, the thick fur of its upper body was a blue lighter than the night and the other party consisting of the belly and its limbs was white.

A horn on its head reminded Jack of the shells on the beach, the wolf roared with its huge fangs, the fear tugged on Jack's chest, his legs fall under his weight, he grabbed the orb to not fall down.

The wolf looked at him suspiciously, it slowly turned around as if to judge its enemy and take him backwards, this respite gave Jack time to talk again to Arel.

"Jack, I knew you would come back, I see that the servant of the dark wizard made you change your mind."

"All this is real, isn’t it ?" he said sternly.

"What? Oh!" Arel exclaimed. "You thought it was a dream, well Jack welcome to reality, yes monsters and magic exists, you'll immediately make use of it by becoming my first ally" Arel said all happy.

Jack felt deep down inside him that he belonged to this kingdom and that magician did not lie to him, like a knight serving his queen, he got right back overcoming his fear with courage and took a deep breath before pronouncing his sentence solemnly .

"I agree to become your champion," Jack said, while looking at the wolf in the eye.

A blinding light emanated from the orb, a runic mark slowly appeared on Jack's right hand, it did not hurt him, then the light disappeared, the blue strokes inked in his hand represented lightning.
