For the past 2 weeks, Hiro had defeated two bandit groups and had looted 30,000 worth of gold coins. He secretly converted those coins into points in his translucent system. Having over 40,000 gold coins, he finally summoned sewerage system for Hyuutia land that cost him 38,000 gold coins. Now, 3 areas ruled by him had equally modern waste management system which mitigate the risk of deadly pandemic caused by dirty lifestyle.

Nevertheless, unlike Hinterland and Redcliffe that were protected by natural borders, in the form of Korcari Wilds and rocky hills, Hyuutia land was open to intrusion from east and south. Moreover, existence of woods everywhere within this land was used by bandits as their hideouts.

Redcliffe and Hinterland didn't receive any gold from recent lootings, thus their financial woes remained. In addition to that, Hyuutia desperately need a lot of financing to develop their defence and economy.

The many thousands of Olga refugees from Saint Albion were able to put into immediate use but agricultural facilities are in sorry state, limiting manpower efficiency.

A lot food was being spent to feed the increased population but the their productivity was limited.

To overcome these problems, he needed more gold.

"Where can I get those gold? It seems I have to go after another bandit group.” Hiro calculated the odds. Moreover, the only thing that his Dioral territory wasn’t lacking was bandit groups. They were scattered everywhere.

Hiro ordered the warriors  to search the place for the treasures. He called Reina to help them in the search.

Surprisingly, Reina could fight decently although her ability was even beneath the likes of Mirai who was the weakest melee fighter among the girls. Nonetheless, Reina was better than average soldiers in a battle but she was extremely good at sniffing the treasures. Hiro had ordered the kunoichi trio to ‘look’ after Reina during the search.

Reina was eager to help Hiro in search of treasures. Reina had once visited this bandit camp as her previous boss and the boss of this camp had some friendship.

As a result, Reina was very familiar with the place. Moreover, her ability to memorize was excellent.

Once discovered, they brought warriors and ambushed them. Unlike preceding two bandit groups, the third group was an easy prey as they had no strong fighters and their number was less than 100 men.

Almost all the valuable things within the camp were taken out under Reina’s leadership.

Hiro grinned as he looked at the pile of gold coins brought to him.

Despite their weakness, the third group was the most lucrative. Hiro got 30,000 gold coins from the camp. In addition, he got food, clothing, and a number of materials. He was delighted to find out that the bandit leader had collected a lot of cloaks. The villagers could turn them into clothings  so it was a very productive heist.

He immediately used up the whole gold for summoning another sewerage sistem at the other part of Hyuutia region. Width and geographical traits of this region required two sewerage system.

Therefore, he had returned to square one.

“Is there any bandit camp close by?” Hiro was pleased as they were able to sweep out almost 100 bandits in one easy move. As a result, he was hoping to go after another group to get enough treasure.

“There is one nearby but we can’t easily offend them.” Reina was a bit hesitant as he said to her master.

“What kind of bandits they are so that I can’t provoke them? This master is the lord of the territory! Who the hell they are?” Hiro had won few victories so he intended to fulfill his needs in one move.

“There aren’t many bandits. As much as I know only about four hundred people. But I have heard that a great noble in Orlais is supporting the bandit group from the shadows. They have well-equipped cavalry so no one dares to mess with them.” She replied.

“Cavalry?” Hiro muttered. Normally, the his warriors had absolute dominance against average human infantry. However, he knew that it was another matter facing well-equipped cavalry. He   only brought 200 horses from Redcliffe after all.

Moreover, skilled warriors would have great casualties if they faced an assault from cavalry when the rival group had double size in comparison.

Let’s go and check them.” Hiro decided that he had to move. He urgently needed a lot more gold coins to upgrade military equipments and develop irrigation for farms that he dreamed of.

The bandit camp was about an hour away. It wasn’t a normal camp but was surrounded by hills. As a result, the place was easy to defend and hard to attack.

The camp was on a high slope but on relatively flat ground. They could see bandits walk in the camp and hear occasional hisses of the horses.

“It would be nonsense to send warriors straight uphill to face the enemy. I will lose a lot of them.”

Hiro began to measure his own strength and the strength of the enemy. The warriors were tough but they didn’t have enough cavalries. He wasn’t willing to see his reinforcement get destroyed.

"Let me sneak in." Reina offered herself. Eagerness could be seen from her eyes.

“I’ll go inside with Reina.” Kurotsuchi and Reina would sneak into the camp to explore the place.

Guards at the gate only felt a breeze blow past by them but couldn’t detect either Kurotsuchi or Reina.

"This woman...is even stealthier than any ninja." Kurotsuchi praised Reina's ability in hushed voice.

"What?"

"Nothing."

Kurotsuchi observed the place and understood that the bandits she was facing now were totally different from the three groups that they had annihilated. This group was much different as the bandits in the group were much sturdy and wearing neat uniforms. Their armour was good and shiny. They looked like real soldiers rather than bandits.

Her hunch told her that these 400 men was equally capable as the 100 former Olga soldiers they ambushed a week earlier.

Kurotsuchi nodded as she looked around.

“It seems you were right, Reina. They may be supported from the shadows by the a rich family from Orlais.”

Orlais alliance was a strong nation, obviously richer than Dioral. However, they didn’t take much interest in the northwestern of Dioral as the place was cold and bitter.

However, this bitter land was her master’s territory.

Both girls stealthily explored the camp in depth. They thought that a face-on attack against this bandit camp would be an ultimate failure.

“Cavalry is much stronger than infantry. Their cavalry is two times more than ours.” Kurotsuchi pondered as she looked at the stables full of horses.

It didn’t take long for a treacherous smile to appear on her face.

“Let’s go back. I will report this to Hiro-sama. I believe he will assault them at night!” Kurotsuchi predicted her beloved master's action plan.

That night, Hiro led 215  warriors to halt close to the bandit camp. They all sit back and waited for his orders. Reina and Kurotsuchi sneaked again over the fences into the camp.

The wooden fences covering the camp wasn’t very high. Perhaps the bandits were too arrogant and decided that nobody would dare to attack them so there was no need for an extraordinary protective wall.

Kurotsuchi was able to pass over three-meter high wall very easily as she could walk on wall. Reina had inhuman speed but she had no such ninja trained skill.

As a result, Kurotsuchi came back and Reina stepped on her shoulder to jump over the fence.

“I am sorry. My strength lacks a lot!”

Reina lamented on the trouble she caused but her comrade didn't care.

Both girls sneaked under the darkness of the night towards the stables. They didn’t rush to act as they observed and found the places where patrol members were on guard.

Although the guards were elite soldiers they couldn’t protect themselves from Kurotsuchi. She used her invisibility to come after them and kill them one by one. They couldn’t even utter cry for help before their death.

After the patrol problem was solved both girls moved towards the stables. Reina lit them using the flint.

The wind was exceptional in the mountainous area. It contributed towards the power and influence of the fire. In a minute all the stables were on fire.

Reina continued to set fires in other locations while Kurotsuchi killed the patrols at the gate.

“Water!”

The cries of bandits resounded in the camp. The patrols were killed so they found about the fire a lot later. The fire had spread around and the horses were running in the camp. The situation was chaotic.

For a while, people didn’t know what was happening as horses were screaming.

Even though they seemed like seasoned and trained soldiers but even professionals will rush in face of a sudden attack.

“Control the fire! Stop the horses! Kill the horse that acts rampant!” A bald man carrying an axe appeared.

The bandits began to implement the instructions of their leader. They would kill any horse that wouldn’t act obediently. The chaos made by the horses was affecting their fight against the fire.

They had killed few horses when beast like roars echoed from the gate. The horses that were obedient began to act more chaotic.

“Corpses! There are corpses in here and all of them are killed! Someone has deliberately made the fire!” A bandit began to shout out loud when he found the dead bodies of patrols.

It was at this moment that the hidden warriors rushed in. They began to mercilessly kill any bandit that passed through their sight.
