Chapter 6 - My Brother

Looking around inside the train while trying to find my seat, I noticed that there were only a few people inside. It wasn’t surprising; it’s very late in the evening. No normal person would go out at this time of night unless you would be commuting and needed to be at your destination before the sun rises the next day.

I sighed when I finally found my seat and let my body fall in content, snuggling deeper inside the jacket I was wearing.

The person I just called earlier was my brother. He wasn’t really my brother by blood, but he was by bond. He was the person I was talking about last time. A peculiar brother, and the person that got too many obsessive admirers that he had to transfer schools. He was older by a few months so I teased him by calling him older brother. He felt awkward and told me to stop calling him that, but I knew he liked it because he was blushing, even if he was hiding it.

He was even wondering why the he-cough! I mean, why he had so many admirers… Well, there was no way that he wouldn’t get so many admirers. He was so oblivious about the reason why! Haha. It’s just that, you see? He’s super handsome.

Like CEO handsome. Haha. I’m not joking! He’s just that handsome and cool that many women wanted his babies.

Even I was allured by his handsomeness. He was just so… sexy. But of course, that was only temporary because I had already found someone I liked during that time. I appreciated his handsomeness, yeah. But I stayed with him when I learned more about him. We got close and eventually became family.

Though he was a definite example of a perfect man to marry, there was only one thing that made him a little bit imperfect. He’s homosexual

He had always been attracted to the same sex and never to the other. This was what I noticed while I was getting closer to him when we were younger. Of course, I asked him directly and he was kind of surprised (no, he was horrified, though it didn’t show on his face); he didn’t beat around the bush and answered me frankly. I didn’t dislike him for that. On the contrary, I was even elated. I got a brother and a sister at the same time!

When Alexa was busy, Gian was my fashion guru.

We also often hang-out and look for a possible date for him. Unfortunately, he hadn’t found his The One. Oh! Additional info, he tops. I learned a lot of things from him, I even took a liking to you know. Ehem. BL (squeals).

Though, it would be nice if there were more people to talk with… You know, about this certain interest.

But moving on; I got too excited telling about Gian, hehe.

While I was tracing back my memories, I didn’t notice myself nodding off.

I heard the announcement from the speakers and realized that I was near my destination and dazedly looked at the window, scrunching my eyes shut at the brightness of the sunrise. Lol, I didn’t doze off, I definitely slept throughout the journey.

Rubbing off my sleepiness, I covered my mouth as I yawned. I sluggishly stood up and reached for my bag on the small spaces above.

While the view of the next station gradually increased its size, I steadied myself and made a long stretch to awaken my lethargic body. “Nnnnh!”

The train slowly screeched to a stop before the doors slid open. I pulled my bag as I walked and finally arrived at the capital. I took a huge and deep sigh and looked around the station. Though it was a bit early, surprisingly, it was already brimming with people. I let out a surprised laugh.

I squeezed myself out from the influx of people and finally walked outside the populated train station. I sighed in relief the moment I was outside. Phew! It was really stuffy inside!

Taking my phone out, I texted Gian that I have arrived. It wasn’t that long since I sent the message, but I felt my phone vibrating. Looking at it, Gian replied that he had also arrived.

I looked around and my sight involuntarily stopped onto an expensive looking car. I felt my brow twitching in amusement. As what I’ve expected, a handsome looking man with a frosty expression on his face walked out of the said vehicle.

Funnily, the women around gasped in shock, as if their time had momentarily stopped. Their eyes were directed to only one person. The said handsome man looked around the premise and found me. But before he could start walking, a woman of strange bearing excitedly approached him, her hips intentionally swaying left and right. The sudden closeness of the woman made him stiff.

By the corner, I watched the turn of events with an amused expression, standing lazily as I leaned one of my shoulders on the wall and crossed my arms.

The man glared at me. I directed a smirk at him and playfully waved my hands.

“Hey handsome.” The woman said coquettishly with a pursed out lips and a wink. If it was possible, I think his body got more rod-like. He was so stiff that he almost looked like a life-like looking statue with best attention given to the slightest details. His eyes hardened and vehemently ignored the licentious woman. The women around the area looked at the courageous lady with an envious yet deadly glare.

The tho-, I mean the woman continued to showcase her seduction skills to Gian while he stood like a statue of a grim man waiting for his death sentence.

Having my slightly sadistic tendency sated, I took a deep breath as I pulled my luggage bag and made a huge grin, raising my other arm in excitement. When I was near, I squealed loudly in delight and waved my raised arm vigorously!

“Dear! Sorry I kept you waiting!” I exclaimed, surprising the ebul woman savoring Gian’s appearance. The woman's expression swiftly became complicated when she heard my words and clicked her tongue. She walked away and continued on whatever she was doing before. Gian and I looked at the woman with a straight face. When she was out of hearing distance, I immediately guffawed. Gian’s resigned yet frustrated face gave me even more mirth.

He just palmed his forehead in frustration as I continued laughing. While I continued my mirth, he patted my head and twitched one of the corners of his lips upwards.

“Clarice.” He called me as he made a mess on my head again. I squeaked then gasped, mirth still obvious on my face. Grinning widely, he hugged me tightly. “I missed you, Clarice.” He whispered. I hugged him back. Without realization, tears welled up and I sniffed. A smile still lingering on my lips.

I really missed him.

“Me too.”
