Nick apologized to Harry for the problems this may cause him but the boy who lived refused to hear any of it since he felt it was totally worth it. "there's not much more they can do to me that I don't already have to deal with. I'll probably just not be given dinner again , it's fine I'm used to it." Harry said with a shrug and Nick came this close to going off in anger but restrained himself. It was one thing to read about the abuse Harry suffered from in a fictional story but this was Nick's actual world now and Harry was his friend so hearing this stoked his rage.-
A nearby windows cracked from a bit of accidental magic fueled by Nicks anger and he quickly put a lid on his magic before someone got hurt. Harry was stunned to notice that during this outburst Nicks eyes seemed to change color but on second glance they were completely normal in color making him think he was seeing things thanks to his shoddy glasses and kept it to his self. "I'll bring you some food tomorrow so don't worry about it mate." Nick promised before the teacher started rollcall.-
Much like the previous day Nick was bored out of his mind but this time he was able to alleviate some of that boredom by helping Harry with his own work. It became clear that Ron had a bad influence on Harry in the world of the story as Nick found that Harry was actually very smart and hard working with the right reinforcement. Nick was pretty sure that the only reason Harry struggled at Hogwarts was because Ron convinced him to goof off instead of study or practice magic. This would explain why Dumbledore suddenly seemed to try and get Harry serious in improving after Voldemort was resurrected.-
The old man likely figured out that at the rate Harry was growing he had no chance at all of ending Voldemort in the final duel and was forced to fix this , probably by mind fucking Ron into actually being helpful. Nick refused to believe that the lazy bugger suddenly decided to change his m.o without outside interference. This wasn't to say that the guy didn't have some worthy traits such a a good bit of cleverness , not smarts mind you but tricky thinking.-
He was also steadfast in defending his people even when clearly outmatched such as the multiple times he clashed with Malfoy and his gang despite being outnumbered. That said now that Nick was here his influence on Harry aught to be lessened considerably. Nick parted ways with Harry and went back to the orphanage for the day. As much as he wanted to purchase the hammer from the system shop and try and forge again to get more points he wasn't stupid enough to do so. First and foremost was that he had no anvil , tongs or forge to heat the metal while he works. Second was that he was sure to make an ungodly amount of racket in the attempt.
Without an isolated environment like the astral workshop everyone in the orphanage would suddenly be in the know , which was obviously not good. This meant that rather than gaining points by forging more rings that he instead spent the few points he had to buy the fundamental books of magic that he found to prepare for Hogwarts. Nick would be more surprised if he didn't get a letter for the school with the rate his magic was growing passively.-
In the mere two days he had his circuits cleansed his magical energy had nearly doubled as his trifecta mind , body and soul slowly got back in sync with each other. Nick was aware that the growth would slow down dramatically soon enough but that didn't mean he wasn't aware that his own magical energy currently exceeded Harry's by a good chunk. His sensitivity to magic from his clear circuits let him gauge the amount of magic in his surroundings which was how he knew. The biggest downside to this sensitivity however was that he could also feel the soul shard in Harry's forehead.-
How could he not when it practically radiated evil aura constantly , though Nick found it funny how Harry's own passive aura bullied the soul shard into silence constantly since the main soul was weakened. This was also the reason that unlike the other horcrux's Harry didn't corrupt those near him for long periods of time. The only "victim" of that soul shard was Harry himself but that would only become problematic later when Voldemort started to regain his power. An interesting moment of karma happened the next day when Nick was called up to the principals office.

Good, f*ck Ron! Such a useless character, all he was good for is to introduce Harry to the other (better) Weasleys. He's a bigoted little sh*t just like Draco and he only ever causes problems for others around him.
The less influence he has on Harry the better.
Kind of sort of, I get the Ron hate but that's mostly for the movie version. Book version was still a lazy git but he has a few good moments that are given to Hermione in the movies instead. He was still a bad influence on Harry though.
This was also the reason that unlike the other horcrux's Harry didn't corrupt those near him for long periods of time
JKR started that the Dursleys' Bad attitude was caused by :
- Bad parenting for Dursley
- fear of Magic for both parents and Dursley
- jealousy for Pétunia (against her sister)
- and Voldemort's soul in harry-horcrux.
During Harry's absences they're not so bad.
And after Harry got Voldemort's soul removed, they started to get better with him. (It wasn't the little house in the meadows, but it was nice enought for the cousins to exchange christmas cards)
But, you're thé autor here, so, I will wait to see what happens.
You forgot the fact that harry defended Dudley from the dementors in the fifth book, despite all the bullying he has done towards Harry, and not to mention explaining the danger they wield
@dkxxx
Psychologist published her views on Pétunia.
So :
- neglected by parents who played favorites with Lily.
- shunned out of Hogwarts because she didn't have powers. (Like squibs)
- bullied by young Snape (he wanted to be alone with his crush).
She basically started to hate what she wanted to have (Magic powers) and couldn't. Normal and typical response).
Harry beeing shoved on her doorsteps. Without prior knowledge and discussion was a constant reminder of it.
Magic and what she didn't have.
Add to that the fact that Lily got killed by Magic.
Really Bad recipe...
@Xuan-Wu i do not see your point
Man this feels more like a f*cking diary than a novel
Before I start, I must clarify that most of the fanfics I've read are from Wattpad, so I'm kind of traumatized. But the author does not put an exact list with the prices of the objects in a fairly prominent warning that a Deus ex Machina is coming, taken from the ass of a third-rate waifu.
A waste of forging points to buy books on fundamental magic when he could just use his galleons later to buy them. But the author isn't specifying the amount of points so I doubt the author is gonna make points a big deal or anything.
worth it. "there's not
Capital "T".
fueled by Nicks anger
Should be "Nick's".
I always start sniggering whenever the MC refers to Dumbledore as a mind f*cker. Anyways tyftc
1. **Harry's Intelligence and Work Ethic**:
- **Canon**: In the original books, Harry is portrayed as an average student who is capable of performing well when motivated. He shows dedication in Defense Against the Dark Arts and improves significantly in other subjects when necessary.
- **Interpretation**: The fanfic suggests that Harry is inherently very smart and hardworking but is hindered by Ron's influence. This is a subjective interpretation, as the canon does not explicitly attribute Harry's academic performance to Ron's influence.
2. **Ron's Influence**:
- **Canon**: Ron is a loyal friend but is often depicted as less academically inclined and more interested in fun and games. However, he also has moments where he supports Harry's growth and takes things seriously, especially as the series progresses.
- **Interpretation**: The fanfic's view that Ron's laziness significantly affects Harry's potential is an exaggerated take and not a central theme in the books. Ron's role as a friend is more nuanced, and his influence on Harry isn't depicted as purely negative.
3. **Dumbledore's Involvement**:
- **Canon**: Dumbledore does take a more active role in Harry's training and preparation after Voldemort's return, particularly in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." However, this is more about giving Harry the knowledge and tools he needs rather than drastically changing his character or his friends.
- **Interpretation**: The fanfic suggests that Dumbledore might have used mind control on Ron to make him more helpful. This idea has no basis in the books and is purely a fanfic creation. Dumbledore is known for his ethical complexities, but such direct manipulation is not part of his character in the canon.
4. **Ron's Character Development**:
- **Canon**: Ron matures throughout the series, showing bravery, loyalty, and strategic thinking, particularly in the later books. His decision to be more supportive and proactive is a natural progression rather than a result of external interference.
- **Interpretation**: The fanfic's implication that Ron’s positive traits are due to outside manipulation undermines his character development as shown in the books.
Try learning the Imperius Curse and then casting the spell on Harry's family so Nick doesn't have to worry about Harry.
