KrakenRiderEmma is a collaboration of Krake, an AI writing model run by NovelAI.net, and RiderEmma, a human author. RiderEmma does outlines, plotting, and the beginning of each scene. Krake elaborates and describes, writing action and smut as well as plot twists. RiderEmma edits, corrects illogical writing and inconsistencies, steers the story on track, and stitches ideas together to make sense. Emma is better at tying plot threads and writing endings! The final text is a mixture of both sources.

Krake and its underlying model (GPT) analyzed huge amounts of text to write. Like other AIs, Krake processed a LOT of fan fiction from public sites. Krake doesn't contain literal copies of anyone's stories; instead, the texts were analyzed to learn how words relate, storing this as a set of numerical associations between words, not actual text.

AI storytelling is controversial for many valid reasons. If anyone objects to this kind of work, please post here; RiderEmma would like to know.

Latest series is finally up… SYNCHRONY::OVERRIDE, a very different kind of gender-bender set in the same universe as our other stories. This story focuses more on the fusion of technology and magic, along with action, combat and a deadly maze of trials… with the protagonist trapped in a unusual sort of gender predicament that draws on some LitRPG tropes (but not too much — this isn’t an isekai, high fantasy or full dive MMO story!)

No rush, and much appreciated :D

It's Tuesday and although Succubated! is normally updated on Mon / Weds / Fri.... there's a bonus chapter today, a Prologue that takes place before the first chapter! Short and sweet, fine to read out of order, and may shed some light (or darkness) on things to come.

Thanks so much for the review! You are awesome.

My pleasure! Saw your post on the forums and replied to you there too :)

The AI thing is like those things that'll remain in debate for a gooood time. But seeing it being used so creatively, further exaltes my hopes in it. I mean, its a tool (or a collaborator, and I think your definition is pretty fair), and it makes somethings easier, but putting effort in it is still necessary. Quite curious on your writing process, but liking it so far nonetheless.

Also cute octopus-thing in the pfp.

Happy to answer questions about the writing process. The latest story ("Redraw Me") was about 60% human 40% AI written, and was a little more "human-steered" than the slightly more chaotic other two series on ScribbleHub. (If you dislike unpredictable pacing and flow, or things abruptly veering into smut, you may not enjoy the others as much).

All three stories use the same process through NovelAI.net -- human author sets the initial parameters and concept, then it's like a ping-pong match back and forth, each writing chunks. The AI is like a very knowledgeable writing intern with a lot of goofy ideas that the human has to veto and sift through for something tha thas potential. Then the human has to do final edits, fix inconsistencies, logical mistakes, improve the flow, etc.

Personally, i don't think so . The dog is a living thing while the ai is currently just a tool but we can agree to disagree

Linkedlord · Feb 4, 2023

There is no such thing as human Ai collaboration currently, that would be like me making toast and calling it a human toaster collaboration, call it what it is using AI for help lmfao

KrakenRiderEmma · Author · Feb 4, 2023

Might sound silly, but I described the process so I hope it's clear what I mean! You could call it a tool, but a typewriter is more like a tool; the AI is semi-randomly generating a bunch of the ideas in this text. Although I wouldn't use the word "creative" for an AI I still consider it a collaboration. If I put paintbrushes on a dog and worked on a big canvas together, I'd probably call it a human-dog collaboration even if the dog wasn't really aware of what was going on.
