Oh the reason for there being a Portuguese Pop Singer in my work, despite the main language eventually being a French-based Japanese creole, has to do with my different musical influences over the years. I'm a fan of Francophone, Spanish, and Portuguese music.

I'm not sure what I'm going to go for my next novel. I remember when i was living with my room mate, she used to say memoir was the sole defining trait of my work; while I think this is somewhat of an exageration, it has given me something to consider.

I think my apprehension is that, at least traditionally, autobiographies is kind of the stereotype among that demographic.
