Don't get me wrong, this work is a slow burn type, I have a few issues with the slow burn genre as sometimes it is getting nowhere. Also, what exactly is the stake in your work? Not letting Dixon get yeeted into the otherworld to get turned into a weapon? Why does it matter? 

Overall, grammar is good. Pacing is fine, a bit making me nodding my head due to the army speaking with one another that feels normal, a bit dry.
