A mix of both sounds good can be tame or as hard as you are comfortable writing.
It can perhaps be as simple as passionate making out before going to a shared bedroom and closing the door behind them. Perhaps sone muffled sounds.
I think the most important thing is simply signs of the relationship growing and moving forward.
