Not sure who's still about/interested, but I've decided to rewrite Hatching a Heroine from the start. I've become a better writer through other projects, and I've discovered that first person narration is far better for me when it comes to a series like this.
It lets me explore the characters in much more detail, and I think it'll help me add a lot more depth to the characters. I've started with Lonna's scene, and getting to write her this way has helped me develop her character in a new (and somewhat surprising, but very fitting) direction. I hope you'll look forward to the release!
Chapter 15 done at long last, and awaiting editing. It's another small one, I fear, but I'm expecting a big growth in chapter sizes from 16 onward. This one just didn't require much to set the scene.
Hoping to get chapter 16 out within the month, by the way. It's just been a mixture of depression, and me being hyper focused on another project.
Hope everyone enjoyed chapter 13 <3 I feel it's sort of transitional, but still important - underwent a lot of revisions, too. (The original version had Lonna feeling very angry! It wasn't until I ended up writing her wake-up period that I had a proper grasp on how she was feeling.)
I'm writing Lonna, right now, and I gotta say - I really don't think I've driven home just how insane Lonna's breath capacity is. More to the point, the things that girl could do with her magic if she got serious... It's kinda scary...
Finally finished an unrelated project of mine. Working on chapter 13 again - it's going through some major revisions, so please look forward to it, everyone.
