Sorry, more delays. After avoiding covid all this time, my husband finally caught it after we went to a concert. So far I *think* I dodged it, but now I'm a giant ball of anxiety and can't brain enough for writing. Think I'll just finish watching Mysterious Lotus Casebook and piddle around on other little projects until we're past this. *Sigh* I really will get back to this novel someday.

OK, all my summer vacation and family visits are over. Lovely times were had by all. Hopefully I can get my brain to switch gears into writing mode soon!

Added a forward to ADBB with a few reviews I've gotten on other platforms. It's been doing really well everywhere else but here. SH is so dear to my heart, I'd really love to get all you Scribblys on board, so check out this foreword if you've been on the fence!

Well, it's my birthday and I clearly did not achieve my goal of finishing Salvage by today. I've been very discouraged lately about getting people to read it, hence the feet dragging. I will forge ahead, though, and we'll get there.

The story formerly known as A Drink Before The War is now A Drink Before Battle. There's another book with the old title. It's some kind of crime novel, and I don't read those so I hadn't seen it. (Always google your titles, kids.) I stole it from the Sinead O'Connor song, as I suspect the other did too, and why not, it's a great line. Not entirely sold on ADBB, but it's that or "Two Generals Walk Into a Gay Bar."

In today's episode of ADBTW, get ready for a ride on the Hot Mess Express! This chapter is a lot. A lot of what? Well, I did my best. Battles are definitely not my strong suit, but now I can get back to the fun stuff. (spoiler alert: the fun stuff is smut.)

I will get back to Salvage, I promise, but I've been on a roll with ADBTW. It's so close to being finished that I kind of want to just sprint the home stretch and be done with it and not have my attention split between the two stories anymore. But the next couple of chaps for ADBTW will be hard to write, so I might write some Salvage anyway to procrastinate on those.
