To your question of which books to read, I've really enjoyed [Blue Core], the same author's newer work [Paranoid Mage], [A Dragon's Curiosity] and also [the Runesmith] here on scribblehub.

Other works I'd recommend on Royal Road instead -because of a difference in the number of published chapters- include [A Dragon Idol's Reincarnation Tale] and [Beneath the Dragoneye Moons]
