Hello all. Sorry for the complete radio silence on WIRMOTM. For various reasons I've had little time to write lately (hence no WIRMOTM and FOTM is working through its backlog at a frightening pace). I don't want to keep stopping and starting so what I'm going to do is finish ALL of WIRMOTM (about 5 or 6 mor chapters) before I continue publishing. That way you'll know that once it's back on, there'll be no more interruptions.
Once again apologies for the delay in updates.
I suddenly found myself absolutely bogged down with real life over the weekend and got exactly NO time to write. Ch 23 is still not done, and beyond that I've written nothing of the ending. The good news is I'm able to write again. Here's what I'm going to do:
NO new chapter this week. Ch 23 will be released next Mon. I'll either release chapters daily or bi-daily from there until the end.
It’s ok real life comes first.
New schedule thing: to avoid clashing with "The Forge of the Magus", starting with tonight new chapters of "WIRMOTM" that fall on Tuesday will now be released on Wednesday instead (and Friday chapters on Saturday). That means that this week there'll be chapters Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Next week there'll be chapters Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Same number of chapters per week.
Apologies for the late release of Chapter 20. I apparently copied-and-pasted the wrong draft into Scribblehub and only caught it last minute. The chapter will be coming out in the next fifteen minutes - just have to fix some formatting issues.
Once again it looks like I'm having to delay a chapter (this one is really close to being done, just a short linking scene that I've been bashing my head against my desk trying to get right all day). If Chapter 11 isn't out today it'll be out tomorrow, but I've lost my backlog of completed chapters and can't keep writing a chapter in two days.
So: from Ch 11, I will be releasing a chapter every four days, rather than every two days, until I can get my buffer back.
Perfectly understandable and not a problem . Take the time you need.
Due to unforeseen scheduling issues I've not yet been able to get Chapter 10 up to a satisfactory standard, and can't promise it'll be ready in time for tomorrow evening's release. Worst case scenario, Chapter 10 is released on Thursday and Chapter 11 on Friday to resume the planned schedule.
I'd rather have it released in a form you like and delayed then released and you be unhappy with it.
