Chapter 17 is so close to done. Like, maybe 200 more words and then a few final checks. Unfortunately I check out of my hotel and need to drive for 5 hours soon, don't wanna rush it.

You'll definitely get the conclusion to this arc within the next 24 hours. We can't wait to share it~!

Chapter 16 is done and my early readers are reporting that the aggressive pace and heavy content of the chapter worked well. So we're on track for that Sunday morning release~! I love on the East Coast of the US for the purposes of Ruinous Hearts' release timings. Will be moving soon, but I want this story done before then.

Gimme like, an hour for this headache to calm down and I'll give Chapter 15 one last read through before posting it.

I've rewritten this thing a couple times now. Finding the right balance between showing and telling has been hard, but I think I've got it.

I'm almost at the editing phase for Chapter 14: On The Same Page.

Goal is to push it out the door within the next 24-48 hours. Nothing too overly ambitious here in terms of word count. A perspective shift seemed the best way to guide everyone into the events of chapter 15-17, Chorus's not so little exercise.

I was not happy with this chapter until I made it worth the wait. I hope you're willing to read 5,300 words. If you're at all invested in the cast, there's a lot of payoffs here.

I just spent 4 hours cleaning my room instead of writing. (Threw out the old boy clothes from high school!)

Gonna push chapter 13's editing back.  Will likely upload tomorrow morning. Need sleep.

I am shooting for a Wednesday Release. Chapter 13: Leaving a Mark is only sitting at 2,000 words. It's *nearly* there, but is missing something. I have an idea that will probably push it closer to 3,000 than intended 2,500. Verse feels like a passenger in their own story and I want to fix that.

19 hours and 30 minutes from now: Chapter 12: Stolen Time should be live. Wrangling this 4,000 word chapter sure feels like it stole a lot of time. Time for you all to learn what actually resolving the plot of Ruinous Hearts demands of Verity~!

I am about 90% finished with the 2nd draft of Ruinous Hearts chapter 12. You are all getting a big gay fight and the start of a rivalry~! 

I got really addicted to Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I'll post Chapter 10 as soon as I give it a few edit passes on Sunday. Cause I don't have time for it today. (Obligations, not SotN lol)

Chapter 10 of Ruinous Hearts has been scheduled for September 11th~! Verity will welcome you all back with a glimpse into how everyone is recovering.

I'm learning a lot about myself as a writer with Ruinous Hearts. I *can* manage a chapter a week. But I have so much background material that there are countless ways I could rewrite a scene and tell the same story. Giving estimations and setting deadlines is hard!

The first Arc will end after chapter 9. I wanted to squeeze in some extra closure for Verity and Vessel.

I am gonna take a break from posting, but I won't stop writing! I mostly wanna justify more time to read more amazing stories on here!

Chapter 5 took me many rewrites. But now that I'm sitting on the chapter I've been looking forward to since starting this thing, it was worth it.

Chapter 4 went through some changes. In my opinion it has a lot more heart in it. I hope you all like it. <3
