While I'm not much of a fan of horror stories, yours is just asking for to make a joke:
"Mach schnell" is German for "Hurry up/ go faster"...
"Mach snail" sounds almost identical, and indicates something is ridiculously slow...

It's might be a little coincidence. I've been learning German for few months now and that word play is the reason why I named the story the way it is named!
The main character moves really slow because of
carrying a literal snail shell
, but her mind is sharp, like really sharp fast.
It's part horror and part adventure. It would focus more on struggles of day-to-day life in a terrifying apocalypse. You can think of her in the middle-class of the apocalypse society. So feel free to give it a try!
