Xiao Bao's eyes widened in astonishment as saw the last notification before his eyes. His heart skipped a beat when he realized that he had just unlocked the System Shop. This was an incredible upgrade for him.

While Xiao Bao's was excited, Zhang Da, who had been standing right next to him the whole time, couldn't help but notice the whole thing unfold. He observed Xiao Bao's astonishment, but decided to keep his thoughts to himself. He was feeling quite perplexed by the whole situation.

Zhang Da walked towards Xiao Bao and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Congratulations brother for doing one push-up."

Xiao Bao nodded his head as a thanks. Then he focussed his mind on something else—he was going to explore the System Shop.

Xiao Bao's eyes widened when he opened the System Shop, his eyes widening as he scrolled through the seemingly endless list of abilities, skills, and knowledge that the System Shop had to offer. The System Shop was a mental wonderland, a virtual space filled with all sorts of wonders that could only be imagined. There were skills that he had never even heard of, abilities that seemed almost supernatural. He was like a kid in a candy store, his eyes lighting up with excitement as he explored the virtual space.

Xiao Bao's fingers flew across the virtual display as he scrolled through the list of skills. He saw things like "Celestial Appearance," which would make his appearance otherworldly, and "Superhuman Strength," which would make him strong. This was an interesting skill for him, but unfortunately it cost 1.000 system points. There were also more mundane skills, like "Fluent in all languages" and "Expert Cook."

As Xiao Bao scrolled through the list, he couldn't help but notice a few extremely expensive items. One of them was called "Time Manipulation," which would allow him to manipulate time itself. Another was "Infinite Wealth," which would make him as rich as Croesus. His eyes widened as he saw the price tag for the both of them. They cost billions of points, far more than he could ever hope to accumulate. He couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment as he scrolled past them.

As Xiao Bao continued to explore the System Shop, he couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. There were so many things that he could learn, so many skills that he could acquire. He felt like he had been given a second chance at life, and he was determined to make the most of it.

He sorted the prices of the shop, and wanted to see what the cheapest skills and abilities looked like.

Xiao Bao scrolled through the list of abilities, noting that some of them were priced at a mere 1 point. He currently had 10 points, but he knew that this amount was limited and he needed to spend it wisely. He didn't want to waste his precious points on useless abilities or skills that wouldn't benefit him in any way.

He carefully examined each item on the list, weighing the pros and cons of each one. He wanted to make sure that he was making the best possible choices, as he knew that these abilities could make a significant difference in his life. He didn't want to end up regretting any of his purchases, so he took his time and made sure that he was fully informed about each one before making a decision.

In the end, he had purchased two abilities: [Basic Adaptive Resistance Booster] and [Basic Stamina Boost]. Both skills cost 5 system points, and they were the best for his current situation.

[Basic Adaptive Resistance Booster] allowed his muscles to adapt more easily to heavier weights, leading to more significant strength increases.

And [Basic Stamina Boost] allowed him to have longer training sessions, maximizing his gains at the gym. These abilities would undoubtedly help him on his path to becoming stronger and achieving his goals.

Xiao Bao was eager to put his newly acquired skills to the test. He had always been fascinated by the concept of push-ups, having read that they could enhance his strength and make bench presses more manageable. With his new determination, he decided to give it a try.

Xiao Bao positioned himself on the floor, his hands shoulder-width apart, his body forming a straight line from head to heels. He took a deep breath and lowered his chest towards the ground, feeling the burn in his muscles as he did so. His elbows flared out slightly, and he could feel the strain in his triceps.

He pushed himself back up to the starting position, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Thanks to his [Basic Stamina Boost] he noticed that his stamina had improved. Now, he had only managed one push-up, but it was a start. He knew that he could do better, and he was determined to prove it to himself.

Xiao Bao took another deep breath and lowered himself down once more, this time focusing on keeping his form perfect. He felt the burn in his muscles, but he pushed through the pain, determined to reach his goal. He pushed himself back up, feeling a sense of accomplishment as he did so. He had done two push-ups in a row, and he was feeling stronger with each rep.

He continued to push himself, doing three push-ups, then four, then five. With each rep, he felt the burn in his muscles, but he refused to give up. He was making progress at an alarming pace, something he never would have imagined possible without those abilities. With each push-up, he felt his strength growing and his determination solidifying. He knew that he could achieve his goal, and he was eager to demonstrate it to himself.

After ten minutes of relentless effort, Xiao Bao had completed fifty push-ups. He was exhausted, but he was also exhilarated. He had proven to himself that he could do anything he set his mind to.

Zhang Da watched in amazement as Xiao Bao completed push-up after push-up. He had never seen his friend so determined, so focused. He had never realized just how strong he was.

"Wow, brother, that's amazing!" Zhang Da exclaimed. "I didn't know you could do so many push-ups."

Xiao Bao smiled. "I didn't know I could either," he said. "But I guess I'm stronger than I thought."

Zhang Da nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you definitely are," he said. "I'm really proud of you, brother."

Xiao Bao smiled again. He was proud of himself too.

The two friends sat there for a few minutes, enjoying the feeling of accomplishment. They had both come a long way, and they were both proud of how far they had come. They knew that they could achieve anything they set their minds to, as long as they had each other.

Xiao Bao turned to look at his friend, only to see Zhang Da sitting there, also catching his breath. Xiao Bao couldn't help but chuckle.

"What's the matter, Fatty Zhang?" Xiao Bao teased. "Why are you out of breath? You haven't done anything yet? Why don't you also do some push-ups? That'll make you stronger."

Zhang Da glared at Xiao Bao. "I was going to, but then I saw you doing so many, and I thought, 'Well, I'm not going to be able to keep up with you anyway, so I might as well just sit here and watch.'"

Xiao Bao laughed. "Don't worry about what other's do. You can do it."

"No, I can't," Zhang Da protested. "I'm just fat. I cannot do this."

"Yes, you can," Xiao Bao insisted. "You just have to believe in yourself."

Zhang Da sighed. "I guess I'll give it a try."

With that, Zhang Da got down on the floor and positioned himself for a push-up. He took a deep breath and lowered his chest towards the ground, but then he stopped halfway down.

"Ow!" Zhang Da cried. "My back!"

Xiao Bao couldn't help but laugh. "What's the matter? Are you giving up already?"

"No, I'm not giving up," Zhang Da said. "I'm just taking a break."

Xiao Bao shook his head. "You're not even halfway down yet."

"I know," Zhang Da said. "But I'm tired."

"Well, you're going to have to push through the tiredness if you want to get stronger," Xiao Bao said.

Zhang Da nodded. "I know."

With that, Zhang Da lowered himself all the way to the ground, then pushed himself back up.

"One," Xiao Bao counted.

Zhang Da lowered himself down again, then pushed himself back up.

"Two," Xiao Bao counted.

At first, he struggled getting his whole body in a straight line. His hips would sag down towards the floor and he wasn't keeping his legs straight. He was also not lowering himself all the way down, which meant he wasn’t getting the full benefit of the exercise. But, as he kept doing them, his form began to improve. And he was breathing easier, raising and lowering with a rhythm of someone who could go for a while longer.

"3," Xiao Bao counted.

Zhang Da collapsed on the floor, exhausted.

"I can't do anymore," he said.

"Yes, you can," Xiao Bao said. "You're doing great."

"Well, I'm not doing anymore push-ups," Zhang Da said.

"Fine, you did well brother! Doing 3 push-ups with your size. I'm impressed!" Xiao Bao said.

Zhang Da didn't say anything. He just lay there on the floor, catching his breath.

Xiao Bao approached the bench press, he wanted to do those bench presses again. He was confident that he could do it. After all, he had been practicing push-ups, and he had also purchased the [Basic Adaptive Resistance Booster] and [Basic Stamina Boost] abilities from the System Shop.

He took a deep breath and positioned himself on the bench, gripping the bar with his hands shoulder-width apart. He lowered the bar to his chest, then pushed it back up to the starting position.

"Phew," he said.

This was harder than he thought. The bar felt heavy on his chest, and his muscles were burning. But he refused to give up. He had come this far, and he was not going to let anything stop him from achieving his goals. He took a deep breath and lowered the bar again, this time focusing on keeping his form perfect. He felt the burn in his muscles, but he pushed through the pain, determined to reach his goal.

He pushed the bar back up, feeling a sense of accomplishment as he did so. He had done one bench press, and he was feeling stronger with each rep. He continued to push himself, doing two reps, then three, then four...

With each rep, he felt the burn in his muscles, but he refused to give up. He was making progress at an alarming pace, something he never would have imagined possible without those abilities. With each rep, he felt his strength growing and his determination solidifying. He knew that he could achieve his goal, and he was eager to demonstrate it to himself.

After 1 minutes of relentless effort, Xiao Bao had completed 10 reps of 40kg bench press. He was exhausted, but he was also exhilarated. He had proven to himself that he could do anything he set his mind to.

He collapsed on the bench, catching his breath. He did it, he had completed his first bench press.

The two friends continued to work out for the rest of the afternoon. They did push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. They also ran on the treadmill. By the end of the workout, they were both exhausted, but they were also proud of themselves for what they had accomplished.

The two friends left the gym, feeling stronger and more confident than ever before. They knew that they could achieve anything they set their minds to, as long as they had each other.
