"Now what?" I wondered, my head felt fuzzy. "I should still be lucky right? Why don't I try my luck?" The next item on my list was the Stand Arrow from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The golden arrowhead was forged from the material of a meteorite. If lucky, once pierced some can awaken a Stand. A Stand is a personified manifestation of 'Life energy' or 'Soul' depending on translation. Having taken out the arrow I took a moment to remove the golden arrowhead as it was the only part needed. 

With that finished, I went through my Item Bag scrounging around for the picture with the wand box. Once I had it I took out the Resurrection Stone, the diamond-shaped stone's smooth obsidian surface seemed to suck in light. For some reason, I felt like I should take it out. (It should keep me from dying, right?)

With both items in my left hand, I stabbed the tip of the golden arrow into my right palm.

"Ow", I groaned and held my hand. A weird sensation swept through my body, like electricity coursing through my veins. Shooting up my arm and into my head. My already fuzzy mind felt light, "Maybe, maybe I'll just take a nap," I said as my mind started to wane.

I passed out.

I awoke sometime later, it was now dark out, I had no idea how long I slept, and I felt incredibly hungry. It wasn’t normal hunger, I gnawed on me. I should say that it's lucky that so many people post pictures of food on social media. Otherwise, I don’t know what I’d do. I just kept eating and eating. I was ravenously eating plate after plate. By the end of my feast, I end up holding that which many can only dream of; the fabled anime ‘meat bone’. It was so good. And I ate it like a starving animal. When I finished my feast I sat there for a good while. I felt lethargic and drained. I had never been so hungry in my life.

Now that my hunger was sated I realized I had gotten seriously sidetracked. “What was that?” Originally, I was planning to spend the latter half of the day figuring out cultivation. Instead, I pulled out a sword and shield and stabbed myself with a magic arrow. A magic arrow that could have killed me. I noted before stuffing it into the box with the wands and the stone before shoving it back inside the photo.

Moreover, I couldn’t think of it as an action I would take ‘normally’. Wasn't the reason the Arrow worked because of a virus? It went beyond trying my luck and straight to tempting fate.

It was probably due to the effect of the Felix Felicis, which I was unsure if I was still affected by. (No more Felix Felicis for the near future). I was lucky to not have any disastrous consequences from the Body-Tempering Liquid which could have ended poorly. “What would have happened if I swallowed everything on the spoon instead?” (A mess, most likely). Regardless I'm still alive. I should probably avoid ingesting things that I don't know the full effects of.

Looks like cultivation has been moved to tonight.

To begin with cultivation the first thing you need is Ki (or Chi, Qi, take your pick on how it’s spelled). From what I know in this world energy like that doesn’t exist. It's a purely made-up word to refer to lifeforce as a form of energy. But what if there were an item that gave you Ki? Or at the very least contained some. Heading to the bedroom I grabbed one of the ceramic pill bottles with the label 'Ki Gathering' off the nightstand. Taking out one of the green colored balls. I looked it over in my hand. If I had to compare its appearance it looks like a deep green pearl with its glossy smooth surface.

Heading out of the bedroom I poured a glass of water before popping the green pill into my mouth and downing it with some water. After swallowing the pill, I could only wait.

5 minutes passed and I felt nothing, then 10, after about half an hour I decided to do something productive with my time instead of waiting around. After an hour I could only feel as if my dreams were for naught. I wondered if I should take another one as the first one was a dud.

Then I felt something odd spreading through me. Starting from my stomach it spread out. Slowly it spread to my limbs. It took 10 minutes for whatever it was to spread throughout my whole body. Then came a different sensation below my belly button but above my bladder, it had started drawing in the other sensation.

From what I could guess, the first sensation was Ki, as for the second with all the Ki being drawn to it I had an idea. A dantian had formed. After the dantian formed the sensation I was associating with Ki was missing. Likely it was all used up in its formation.

Taking another pill, I could feel an immediate difference, instead of the energy slowly being released in my stomach and wandering my body it was all drawn into my new dantian. The process took about 5 minutes, however.

From there I tried a few different ways to figure out how to move it. The one that worked was similar to how you focus on one of your hands and it feels a little different than normal. Like that but it felt like I grew a new limb. A very uncoordinated and uncomfortable limb. I could have the Ki move and in doing so I 'felt' what it was touching. To describe its shape, it was a spherical orb that sat within my lower body. The dantian that now contained it. After some practice, I could move it around my body with some focus. Quantity-wise if I’m currently at 100% right now I’m able to move between 5-10% of what’s in me and it feels, like herding cats... It wisps around here and there as it moves, eventually being drawn back to my Dantian. It's quite difficult to control.

There was also the issue of not knowing what to do with it from here. Not like I know what I’m supposed to do from this point. It's a miracle I even got this far.

As I was about to draw a close on my first dip into Ki exploration. I gave my whole body a once-over with Ki. Since it acted like an internal sensory limb. As the Ki moved through my body I could feel each organ it touched. It felt soothing as it moved through my body. Therapeutic even. Once the Ki reached my head, The wispy substance slowly made its way to my brain, seeping inside. I almost lost myself to the mind massage (or would this be some form of brainwashing?) when I found another orb. "What is it?" Finding this wasn’t my original intent, but...

Curious I moved the Ki towards the unknown orb. As the Ki touched the orb I received a new different sensation. I felt a strange separation between my mind and body. Looking around, it was blurry and difficult to make things out. I seemed to be in a strange gray realm. I wondered if I was imagining this place. I could see but I couldn’t move. Eventually, my eyes were drawn towards the center of this place. At its center, there was a large ‘thing’. I was unable to make it out but for some reason, I felt like I could move it, and at the same time, it didn’t want to move. I tried to force it. As I did, a force was released causing me to return to my living room.

Returned to reality my mind was once again filled with questions. Where was that place, my mind? My subconscious? As for the thing in question, did it look like an egg? Why would- “Does that mean I did get a Stand?”
