This is my second novel. And I thought it was important to warn those who did not read the description. There are two mcs in this novel. Arthur and Miko. Arthur is old man and don't expect any sex scenes with him. Miko will have a harem, and there will already be futa there. If you don't like this tag, don't read it. I'm not forcing you. Those who don't care. And also I really suck with English. So I using translator. Enjoy reading.

Every story begins with a hero. How did he appear? Who is he. And what special did he do? But our hero of the story is a simple homeless person. A man who lost his home and in the bottom. And he himself decided to live this way. His name Arthur. He had a great life. Good job, great home, loving wife, everything for a good life. But fate or the higher deities decided otherwise. The war began, although his wife was over 30 and suffered from many chronic diseases. But she was a magician, which means she was fit for war. As a result of one of the operations, she went missing. Until the very end, he retained hope that she was alive. She must live. She always knew what to do even in the most dire situations. But these hopes were dashed. A phone call where he was told that her body had been found. From now on. Nothing mattered.

Arthur quarreled with his friends and brother. They asked him to forget about her. Find another, leave the past. But he couldn't. She was different. Not like everyone else. He couldn't just forget about her and find someone else. Why he. Why was I deprived of it? These thoughts were poison and fuel for his hatred. Realizing that he doesn’t need anything else from life, he decides to kill himself. But he doesn't succeed. He's too weak. Too pathetic. Realizing this, he decides to get rid of everything unnecessary. He buys a ticket to fly to Hairongoth. Leaving work, family, friends. If they can't understand me, then why do I need them? He went to a foreign country with nothing. If I have nothing, then I don't worry about anything. After all, if every day is a test, then sadness and pain can be forgotten. And he was right.

Surviving every day in the city, he gradually learned another language, which places are the warmest and other benefits. But he forgot. He forgot why he ran here. Gradually surviving, he understood the terrible truth. He hated himself even more. The desire to kill himself became greater. After all, he forgot his wife's face. Kylie's face.

Now Arthur is 63. He has nothing to do except look for something valuable in trash cans. And hunt rats. This is his life. A man in dirty torn clothes. With the old long hair, which, due to dirt, had long stuck to each other. He looked worse even by homeless standards. But nothing bothered him. Obsessive thoughts about the comfort of home and delicious food came to him. But he quickly tried to forget them. And so Arthur spent half of his life. Nobody needs it. No one will notice his death, and he will be glad about it.

It was late at night and he was about to fall asleep. But before that, he heard loud sounds and women's screams. Oh fuck. Arthur knew what this meant. He has already saved some girls from rape. But it always bothered him. How can a person not feel terrible after something like this? What kind of animal do you need to be for this? Gathering his courage, he heads towards the noise. The sounds died down, and everything led into a dark alley. No light sources, only darkness. "I wish I had a flashlight." He walked into the void. He couldn't see his own feet. In complete darkness, he tried to find at least something. Already disappointed, he hoped that he had not confused where the noise was coming from. "Am I idiot? Is there anyone here?" Arthur already felt stupid about this decision. I had to find someone and not come here alone. But this entire street is empty. It's rare to meet anyone. Without light, without the support of passers-by, trying to save someone without knowing who.

But he did all this for a reason. Eventually he found the light. Abandoned tunnel in the subway. The place is full of all kinds of garbage and stray dogs and rats. A weak light source in the form of a fire illuminated her. A woman in a black tuxedo covered in blood and human intestines. She stood armed with a black knife and a strange bandaged box. But that wasn't the worst thing. And there is a large iron rod in her head. This rod went into her brain, piercing her right eye. Arthur wanted to say something. But nothing came to his mind.

"Young lady are you okay?" Arthur was shocked. This face. She looked like Kylie. It was her face. He knew she wasn't okay. But he didn't know how to help her. The girl ignored his words, looking incredibly tired. She looked at the old man with a dead look. She was hoping to see someone else. Not a dirty, fat, homeless person. Apparently there is no better option.

"Look, I'm not in a position to explain. Please take this." She throws him a strange bandaged box and a knife. And Arthur concluded. This is not a box. "This is a book, I want you to hide it and give it to the red-haired woman with stars instead of pupils. Hide the book, don’t give it to anyone. Not to association, especially not to the bastards from the police. For your own good." He was surprised by this, he didn't sign up for this. He thought there was someone here- they rape. He wasn't going to get involved in some magical shit.

But he was not given the opportunity to refuse. She went into the darkness. Arthur called her but she did not appear. "FUCK" He made a promise to himself not to run into mages. And he broke it again. Kylie was the exception. He didn't know what to do now. Is it worth the wait? Why does he even need this book? Is it worth getting rid of it? However, he was not allowed to think about it.

The sounds of someone's screams and explosions came from the darkness. There are also sounds of shooting and animal screams. No, that doesn't concern me. I am going home. Arthur decided to escape from the tunnel. He didn't know where he was running. But it's better if he doesn't appear here anymore. Never.

Running into some gateway holding a book in his hands, Arthur made a promise to himself. If I don't hear someone being raped. You just need to run away and that's it. No more magic. She is the cause of his troubles. He lies on the garbage bags. His legs are too tired and his eyes are too sleepy. Well, I'll sleep here. But before that. He remembered. Her face. I remembered him.

Without noticing it, tears began to flow from his eyes. He spent his time remembering sweet memories.
