“Umm, hello” I say, trying to pull myself away from the girl holding onto me.

“Oh yeah, you don’t remember right now.” She says pulling away from her hug. “Hi, my name is Uriel. I am an archangel and your contracted summon.”

“Oh, hi Uriel. I’m None.” I said to her. Since she is still naked I decided to not look at her directly.

“So it’s None now. Well, it doesn't matter. Just happy to be here.” She says. The way she talks is very bubbly and happy. But something she said stuck out with me.

“What do you mean now?” I ask.

“Oh, I’m not just your contract summon, but I’ve been every version of you’s summon, ever since the second.” She says.

“What?” What she says cuts right through me. The idea that I am not the original me is something I have known for some time. The note confirmed it, but it only confirmed two others. With Uriel here saying that she knew them, that could mean that there are a lot of others.

Because of this I start to freak out. I started to have trouble breathing. Moments seemed to stretch for minutes. I even started pacing around the room. My thoughts were all over the place and I couldn't focus on anything.

Eventually Uriel grabbed my head and pulled me into her chest. This for a second cleared my mind instantly.

Pulling myself away, I say “what are you doing!?”

“There you aren’t panicking anymore.”

“Thank you,” I said sheepishly.

After a few more minutes she speaks up again, “I would like to explain something to you. It’s about what I think you were freaking out about, so if it gets too hard for you I can stop”. The way she talks is filled with care. I don’t know why but her voice is so caring and sweet to me. “So, let me start by saying that I don’t know about how this all started, but I first met you, or a version of you, when you, or he, had just left what he called the void. The world we were in was similar to this one. It had a working knowledge of magic and how the system worked. He had gone to test summoning magic and the amount of power he had caught my eye, so I offered him a contract. That was the start of our friendship. Off and on through his long life we would travel together. That was even until the end of his life. I'm not going to go into details, but you should know that you are basically immortal. Outside of getting hit with a chaos element attack, you can not die. This is not always a good thing. I have no clue how long he was alive when I met him, but by the time it ended, he had forgotten a lot of things about his life. The end came when he found a way to basically erase all of his memory and wipe the slate clean. Killing himself, but leaving the body behind to live again. That's how you exist. Since you have the same body and soul you keep all the skills and their stats, but you can be seen as a new person. The first reset I helped get set up in that same world, but he eventually found a way to move between worlds via magic. The highest form of spatial magic is known as Space-Time magic and can be used to do something like that. After a while a reset would always happen, and I would not always meet them.”

What she told me was very helpful to organize my feelings, but it did add a few new questions to the mix. “They all chose to basically die. What could have happened?” I ask myself this.

“None, there is something that you need to realize. They were immortal. But the people they knew weren’t. Their loved ones died. And they had to watch it happen. Their lives are inconceivable to you, as you are now. You shouldn’t dwell on them at all. You should view them as completely different from you.”

I didn’t know how to respond. What she told me is essentially my destiny. My life will always lead to me making the same decision that they made before me. I am not the first and I will not be the last. This world and this life aren’t any different.

“What should I do then? If every version of me has lived lives that all end the same way, then is there any reason to do anything?” I ask her.

“Of course. You should do what they all did before you. Find something that makes you happy and pursue it. Make friends, find a hobby and do whatever. That's what you should do.” She says, a massive smile growing on her face.

Her words resonated within me. I finally was able to accept that I was allowed to be myself. No amnesia or past life was going to stop me.

With that I decided to ask about some other things. Turns out that Uriel wants to stay with me for now anyway. She told me that she usually does this whenever she gets resummoned. She also told me that she has some of the things missing from my storage. Turns out the last version of me that summoned her wanted to encourage the next one to make friends and to ensure that he took out all references to summoning magic. So in turn if they wanted to unseal the third seal they would need to find someone who knew summoning magic. She also told me that she really liked the adventures that the past me’s always went on.

With this all done and wanting to leave the church, I ask Uriel if she could somehow hide from Crusha, since i was told by Chloe and Tess not to tell anyone who I'm not close to about my summon. She told me that she could use magic to turn invisible. With that done. I left the room.

When I got outside, Chloe and Crusha were waiting for me.

“Oh, how did it go?” Chloe asks.

“Everything went well” I say in response.

“If you don’t mind, could you tell us what you summoned?” Crusha asked.

“Uh, isn’t that something you should only tell people you're close with?” I say in response.

When I said this, he seemed to get quite annoyed with me, but quickly changed his expression and said, “Oh, well that's fine. Well you two have a great day and i will see you in a few days.”

“Yes goodbye” Chloe says rushing me out of the church.

“Bye” I yell back to him.

After a while of Chloe pulling me by the arm I hear a sound in my head.

“Um, None, the church is far enough away. You can tell her about me now.” The voice I hear is Uriel's.

“Hey, Chloe, we are far away from the church we can stop now. I have something to tell you.” I say to Chloe, trying to get her to stop pulling on my arm.

“Oh, yeah, tell me about the summoning. It worked so what did you summon?” She said stopping and turning to me.

“Um, she said she was an archangel named Uriel.” I say in response.

Chloe, in turn, just stares at me for a minute before yelling “A WHAT?!”
