Daemon held a crying Prince Viserys on his knee as he bounced him up and down trying to calm him, they had been on the road for a few days now having left Riverrun, it hurt a lot to leave the girls behind especially Lyanna but he knew he was doing this for them and when he returned they could live happily together. Right now they were headed to Lannisport for the final trip in the Queen's journey, Tywin Lannister as the Hand of the King had organised a tourney in honour of the birth of the Prince, similar to what other great families had done. However, unlike the other families, the King would attend this one with the Prince as Tywin was said to be his greatest friend.

Daemon held Viserys as he calmed down, Daemon was the only one who he would calm down for apart from Rhaella, perhaps it had something to do with his Valyrian features being similar to Rhaella. Daemon had offered to take Viserys whenever Rhaella looked tired, she was a kind woman and he wanted to make sure that she was rested. Though he couldn't help but see the humorous side of things as she was trusting a Targaryen Prince to a Blackfyre.

Not that he'd do anything, he couldn't say the throne interested him much, he had lived a simple life since he was born and he enjoyed it, having Lysa and Lyanna was the only goal he had other than getting his sister back. But he enjoyed Rhaella's company a lot, she didn't act much like a queen most of the time and talked to him as if they were old friends. He would also get the chance to train with Barristan often, he still remembers the first time they sparred. That was an eye-opener for Daemon, he thought that he would be able to put up a good fight but in reality, he barely lasted 10 seconds and he was sure the man wasn't even using his full strength.

Barristan came to sit by Daemon as he bounced a sleepy Prince Viserys on his knee "He seems to like you, got to say lad you taking the baby will make it easier on all our ears" he said with a chuckle as the Kingsguard were the only ones who would look after the baby while Rhaella slept.

Daemon smiles "He isn't so bad just a bit loud, a typical Prince" he replies getting a further laugh from the old man.

There was one thing that Daemon wanted to ask Barristan as they slowly approached Lannisport, it had been gnawing at his mind for a while, he turned to the knight "Barristan what is the king like" he asked simply, even a country boy such as himself knew the reputation that the king had, he was the strongest person in Westeros, before Daemon knew about Aura he'd have thought he was a dragon made flesh but after doing so he realised the man was just a monster.

Barristan had a peculiar look on his face when asked the question, in truth, if he had asked any of the Kingsguard they would have this look on their face. Their vows prevented them from speaking badly of their king so the only thing Barristan could do was warn Daemon to keep himself in line and to not make mistakes when he was in the King's presence.

"The King in his younger years was probably the most promising aura user that the Targaryens had ever had, he was handsome and charismatic, but it was the tragedy of Summerhall that changed him, it was said he came out of the burning palace smiling. Though no one knew why until much later" Barristan explained.

"The first time I saw the King properly was during the war of the Ninepenny Kings, people like to credit me with the defeat of Maelys the Monstrous but the truth is more complicated than that" he continued.

(Flashback)

Barristan felt his aura reserves run low, he'd been fighting this monster of an opponent for what seemed like hours, every swing of his sword was capable of ending his life and he only managed to avoid it. While they were equal in terms of raw aura it didn't matter when the person who has that aura is already monstrous in strength, people say he killed his cousin without using a single bit of aura, and while that sounds like a tall tale now he believed it.

The ground around them was shattered and the stench of blood was thick in the air and bodies surrounded them, there was fighting all around them. The fighting of aura users could be heard as the ground trembled breathing them while the shouting and battle cries of the regular soldiers pierced the air. Maelys stood in front of Barristan great sword in one hand as if he were wielding a toothpick, his aura cracked the ground underneath himself as it kept on expanding to bigger proportions.

This was when Barristan knew he had lost the fight, he looked into Maelys eyes and found instead of purple they were crimson red, the fight seemingly taking his abilities to new levels. Barristan could only hope to fend him off long enough for others to get here and back him up, otherwise, he would die and Maelys would decimate their army. Barristan flared his aura to its limits as he prepared to face the monster before him.

But then a bright green light flashed in the corner of his vision, he couldn't help but turn and see a bright green sphere of flames in the air, focusing the vision he saw Aerys Targaryen the Crown Prince in all his glory as he seemingly floated midair in the green sun that floated above them. The king raised a single hand in the enemy's direction.

'Kings Justice'

They were the words that Barristan heard as if they were a whisper on the wind, what followed as an earth-shaking roar that sent most regular men running for their lives though they couldn't see what was happening all they saw was their fellow men running away and turning to ash. Their knights and lords lasted longer but it only served to prolong their suffering as green flames engulfed them and they fell to the floor in pain. The look of horror in their eyes as they saw what approached them left them screaming in fear before they died.

Barristan would never forget what he saw that day, he would never speak of his king's ability or how horrible it was, he found using such a thing even on enemies was not justice. He turned to see Maelys shocked, and in a moment of dishonour, he took his chance as he was distracted and used his sword enveloping it in his aura and piercing through his chest and ending the last male Blackfyre.

(Flashback End)

Daemon felt shocked at what he had just heard. The king had come onto the battlefield and with a single gesture of his hand he had destroyed the rival army as if they were nothing. He thought it was laughable that Barristan believed he would ever get to that level.

"How did he become so strong... does he have a 'King Type' aura?" Daemon asked with a quiver in his voice.

It wasn't Barristan who answered him but Rhaella as she approached the fire from her wheelhouse "He's not, my husband is a simple 'Brute Type'" she said as she sat next to Daemon.

"My husband was a genius, though it wasn't until Summerhall that he had changed, the eruption of wildfire burned him, but it was through the pain and being engulfed in the flames that he ascended to a different level" she explained.

"He walked in there merely a talented Prince but when he came out he was a monster who could change his aura into a wildfire, but his mind would never be the same after that," she said solemnly.

'I don't think any of us are ever the people we once were' she thinks to herself. She hated her husband and it broke her heart to think she wished him death every day, Rhaella was a kind and gentle woman never wishing ill on those around her. But after Summerhall her husband got worse and worse until she sometimes wished one of them would die.

Her only shining light was her children, she knew Rhaegar would be a good king, the people and the nobles both loved him and he was a talented user, though she was worried about him sometimes he was quite prone to bouts of melancholy and would shut himself in the library studying his scrolls.

She looked at Viserys, he was the product of her husband raping her and often inflicting pain on her in numerous ways, as she was an aura user she would take a lot more punishment than a normal person and would heal faster, a blessing and a curse. Even so, she could only look at her baby boy with pure love and while she does not wish to lay with the man ever again she would never regret having children.

She felt a bit sad that this trip was ending, it was a nice break from her life in Kings Landing a snake pit full of lies and deceit and yet it all meant nothing in the face of her husband's power. She knew they'd be reunited at Lannisport and while most wives would be happy at that fact she dreaded it, but she worried more for Daemon than herself, she didn't tell him this but she had pressured Lord Tully into making the betrothal with his daughter, while he would surely benefit he still wasn't sure.

Rhaella leveraged her position as Queen which swayed his thinking, she did this because she was afraid of what her husband would do once he learned that he had the same crimson eyes that he possessed. He was prone to bouts of jealousy and erratic thinking, she hoped the political protection the betrothal offered would be enough.

She looked at Daemon who smiled at her "You look tired your grace, you should sleep some more I'll stay with the Prince" he said in a gentle voice, Daemon was kind and sometimes she hoped he'd stay like that, but she knew he wouldn't.

Those who pass through King's Landing never stay the same.

———————————————————-

Daemon clashed swords with Barristan, and the older knight easily flicked his wrist parrying the blade off the side, Daemon used the momentum to turn into the parry and spun around swinging his blade in a downward strike.

Barristan blocked the strike angling it so it fell off to his side, he pivots his foot and uses his offhand to shove Daemon off his feet. The boy falls roughly to the floor and before he can try to stand the man's blade is already at his neck.

Daemon sighs as he lets himself collapse to the floor in surrender "You are talented lad, perhaps even more so than I was at your age but it's clear you have no experience fighting"

Daemon snorts "What do you expect I grew up in a cabin," he said as he got himself back up to his feet.

"Why are we training my sword skills, surely they won't amount to much when faced with aura" he asks.

Barristan laughs "Talent with a weapon can be the difference between victory and defeat, especially between aura users of a similar level"

"Don't underestimate how destructive some weapons can be, that sword of yours could cut through the thickest armour like butter if empowered with aura, so we will drill you on your sword technique" he finishes as Daeron nods his head.

After a few more hours of training they finally stop for the day, they stood by the river as Daemon washed the sweat off his body, he looks at the water slip between his fingers and how it feels on his skin "Do you think you could teach me 'Alchemy Type' aura" he asked Barristan who sat on a stump nearby, the man shook his head "I'm a 'Manipulator Type' while it wouldn't be that hard for me to grasp I haven't trained in that type before"

Daemon nods his head as he goes back to washing a little disappointed, while Martyn had explained how affinities had worked he did want to at least attempt to master the other affinities as well as he could. His type of aura allowed him to do amazing things but he believed to take it to the next level he needed to incorporate the other aspects of aura.

But that was thinking for the future for now he had the basics the master and his current abilities to refine. He stood up from the water and headed out grabbing his clothes from a branch and getting dressed, he and Barristan head back towards camp as it was soon time for Barristan to switch with Jonothor.

———————————————————-

It was late at night and Daemon had woken up by the sounds of crying, his tent was near the Queen's wheelhouse, and he had taken to helping her with the young Prince as none of the servants could calm him. Rhaella did not use a wet nurse for any of her children as she loved feeling the connection to them so it often led to sleepless nights as she tried to calm Viserys. However, the young Prince felt calm with Daemon so he took it upon himself to shoulder the burden of caring for the Prince.

This was the reason why he had gotten out of his tent and headed to the Queen's wheelhouse, Jonothor sat outside the tent asleep which made Daemon sigh 'He's a Kingsguard and he's sleeping on his shift' he thought to himself as he shook his head. He had a key to the door that the queen had given him but found that it was already open causing him to frown and instinctively use 'Suppression' he slipped inside the massive wheelhouse, at the end was where the queen slept which was a bed covered by a large curtain, the prince slept in a cot closer to the door.

He was still crying and now Daemon saw the reason for it was a man dressed in black robes covering his face, he had a sharp dagger that already had blood on it and it was arched upwards about to descend on the Prince. Daemon quickly pushed aura from his legs cracking the wood underneath him and intercepted the downward arching blade wrapping his arm around the attackers so their elbows met and spinning him around throwing him out of the wheelhouse through the wall, Daemon quickly spins around and checked on Viserys, checking his body for any cuts.

He seems fine so he quickly went to check on the queen pulling back the curtain, she lay on her bed with a thin nightgown covering her, long silver hair was sprawled out behind her and covered her pillow, and her body was large chested with large hips and big soft thighs. Daemon had never seen a woman's body before and almost had to slap himself in the face as it wasn't the time to stand there with his mouth open.

"Your grace! You need to wake up, you're in danger!" He said while shaking her shoulder, it took a second but her eyes started to flutter open, but before Daemon could tell her the situation he heard the wolf creek and his senses went wild. He pushed himself backwards and collided with the assailant behind him who had climbed back through the hole. He knocked him back a few feet but he righted himself easier than Daemon thought he would be able to.

Daemon flared his aura before throwing a punch at the assassin only for the man to catch it in his fist. Daemon started to sweat and shiver as a dark malicious aura like nothing he'd ever felt before surrounded the man before him "A man has a job to do, step aside" he said in a tone that seemed to chill the entire room. He kicks at his leg which only has the effect of shifting him slightly but it's enough for Daemon to pivot his foot grabbing the man's arm before throwing him back out the wheelhouse.

"Daemon! What is happening where are the guards!" Rhaella who had awoken was shouting hysterically as she stood up to go to the Prince.

"Stay with the Prince I'll deal with the assassin" Daemon said resolutely as he jumped out of the hole he had made his aura flaring once more. He activated 'Aura Tether' but as soon as it made contact with the mysterious man it felt like it had made contact with fire. He grunted in pain as he withdrew the tether, this had never happened before, he had always been able to use this ability.

'Who is this person!' Daemon thought to himself. It was then he heard fighting from the other side of the camp, the royal procession was quite large which in turn translated to a large camp "A man has hired certain fiends to distract, expect no help" he said his voice like steel cutting into flesh.

Daemon steeled his resolve as he narrowed his eyes "Then I suppose I'll have to defeat you on my own" he said his aura intensifying slightly as he launches himself at the man who side steps Daemons punch kicking his stomach making him splutter almost throwing up last nights dinner. He pushes his body on his hands before twisting his body and attempting a leg sweep only for the man to jump over his legs.

Daemon jumps back up and attempts several hits that are all avoided, he's then punched in the chest and it launches him to the carriage cracking the wood. He lands next to where Jonothor Darry sat only then realising he wasn't asleep but he was dead, an incision being made at the back of his neck. Daemon finds it hard to breathe as that simple punch was able to wind him, he stands up his chest aching he'd need to use 'Fortify'.

He flares his aura and then condenses it into a thick defence, he then looks to the dead Kingsguard next to him and draws his sword out of the sheath enveloping it with his aura as well. He sees the assassin hold out his hand and seemingly conjure a large dagger that had a black blade 'A magician?' Daemon thought as he once again charged at him.

He swung his sword down expecting it to cut through the dagger however it was stopped dead when he blocked it. It was like trying to push a boulder without aura and so he disconnected from the clash and attempted numerous other slashes but was stopped at every turn. He started to use 'Flow' he knew this would be dangerous but he had little choice, he would either need to defeat the man or distract him long enough for Barristan to get here.

Using 'Flow he lessened the amount of aura that surrounded his body to defend and placed it into his arms and sword, if he couldn't cut through the blade he'd bash through him with brute force. It seemingly works as well as each blow that the man blocks forces him back slightly until he starts to put more of his aura into his blade, however, this was what Daemon waited for and so he feints him with an overhead strike before dropping his sword midair and focusing the majority of his aura into his fist and punching at his lightly defended stomach.

The first connects and the air seems to explode violently as the man is launched backwards into a tree behind him, he then quickly snatches the sword back out of the air before it falls to the ground. He looks at the assassin who is already standing up his aura flaring around him.

'I punched him with everything I had' Daemon thought to himself grimly as he got back into a sword stance.

"A boy has earned a man's respect, however, a contract must be fulfilled," he said ominously, with a wave of his hand he conjured several smaller daggers launching them immediately at Daemon who barely had enough time to deflect them with his sword, though he grunts in pain as the last one pierces his shoulder sinking deeply as if his aura was made of wind.

Daemon grabs the blade and rips it out before throwing it on the floor and facing the assassin once more, only his eyes widen when he sees that the assassin isn't there, he looks around him not seeing anything at all, he uses 'Focus' in his eyes and he still sees nothing. His senses go wild as he feels something slash at his back, he feels a blade cut through his aura and into his skin from behind, he falls to his knee before spinning and slashing with his sword only to find it hitting nothing but air.

He felt sweat start to pour down his face as shadows danced around him making him turn in every direction, he focused and composed himself gripping his sword with both hands he used 'Scout' to extend his sensory field. But as soon as he did he felt a chill crawl down his spine as he was able to sense where the assassin was "A boy makes the worst decision he could make" he hears whispered he turns around sword already swinging but the assassin grabs his arm and stabs him in his stomach multiple times before slashing at his throat, Daemon in those vital few seconds only managed to lean out of the way slightly and use 'Flow' to stop the knife from ripping his throat open.

He falls onto his back blood pouring from the multiple stab wounds on his body, he feels his strength start to waver as he looks up at the empty eyes of the man above him. He looks to the wheelhouse and can see the Queen holding the Prince close to her chest, her aura was flaring like a lioness protecting her cub, though it looked as if she had tears falling down her face. It was as if she knew the outcome of what would happen once the man reached the wheelhouse.

In reality, Rhaella wept for Daemon, the boy who was barely a man who had been cut down in his attempt to defend her, she wept for taking him from his love just to die on the cold ground 'I'm so sorry Daemon' she thought to herself as she flared her aura for the first time in years "A man has not come for a woman, but for a little Prince," the man said as he closed in on his target.

Rhaella felt shocked 'Who would hire such a person just to kill a baby' she thought to herself as she placed Viserys back in the cot behind her and prepared to defend him.

She is once again shocked when Daemon grabs onto the man from behind locking his arms around him, his eyes were completely red blood poured out of his mouth "Run! Barristan is on the other side of the camp!"

Rhaella feels conflicted "Daemon I-" but that's all she can get out.

"GO NOW!" He shouts as his aura flares, he struggles to keep the man still even as his muscles bulge and tighten. He can feel another knife slip into his stomach though it has little force so it doesn't go deep. He sees Rhaella grab Viserys and head out of the wheelhouse running to the other direction of the camp where she could be safe. The assassin keeps struggling but Daemon doesn't budge focusing the entirety of his aura on keeping his arms locked around him.

"It's too late... Ser Barristan will keep her safe when she gets there" Daemon states in a low and tired voice as the man starts to try and desperately get out of Daemon's hold. Daemon finds himself struggling to stay awake but tries to hold out as long as he can.

Eventually, it becomes too much and Daemon's mind fades and he passes out.

———————————————————-

Daemon found himself drifting, where? He did not know, how long? It could have been a few minutes or thousands of years, he was devoid of all his senses as he drifted. Though he soon found himself falling as the dark void started to light up, his senses opened up one by one until he disappeared from the void.

Daemon's eyes opened as he started gasping for air, his body ached and felt stiff, his eyes were blurry and he had trouble focusing on anything. He tried to move but discovered a pain coming from his stomach, he soon remembered what had transpired before and he felt himself grow concerned 'I hope the Queen is okay, but since I'm still alive I can imagine she is' he thinks to himself as he collapses back onto the soft bed.

He then just realised that he was in a soft bed and looked around, this was the Queen's wheelhouse more specifically her bed. He groans and puts more effort into getting out of bed, he manages to sit up on the edge he sees that he has breeches on but nothing else, his upper body had been bandaged but he could see the blood had soaked through slightly. He stands up but immediately falls to the ground only barely catching himself on the side of the bed.

He lifts himself on shaky legs holding the sides of the wheelhouse as he walks forward, he sees that Viserys is not in his cot. The light is pouring into the Wheelhouse from the cracks of the door and windows, he pushes the door to the wheelhouse open and the fresh air hits him, it does make him feel better as he closes his eyes letting it run across his skin. He steps down the stairs of the wheel house but his legs lose their strength and he falls to the ground.

He tries to push himself up but struggles, however, he then finds himself being lifted "Careful now lad, be a shame to have you die on us now" he hears someone say, he looks up and sees Barristan who was helping him up. He puts his arm around his shoulder and helps him to a seat that was next to a fireplace about a couple dozen feet away from the Wheelhouse.

Daemon's body feels relief as he no longer had to carry himself under his strength "Is Rhaella okay?" He asked getting a chuckle from the man. He was a good lad, even after coming close to being taken by the stranger he still worried about Rhaella.

"She's fine lad, she showed up just as I killed the last of the bandits that had shown up" Barristan replied as he gestured a servant over and whispered into their ear before they hurriedly went off and he sat next to Daemon.

Daemon knew she would be fine but it was nice to be reassured he slowly slumped into his seat, his body felt a tiredness that he hadn't felt before, he wondered if this was how his uncle felt being an old man. "What happened after I passed out," Daemons asks

Barristan smiles "When the Queen brought me and the rest of the guards to her wheelhouse we saw you still holding onto the Assassin even close to death you never let your grip falter" he says with pride in his voice.

"I had to use my aura to even peel your hands away from the corpse of the assassin," he said with a chuckle.

Daemon's eyes widened "Corpse? How did he die? He outclassed me in every way there's no way he could've died just to me holding him"

Barristan nods his head "You're right lad, but that's not the reason he died... tell me what do you know about the man who attacked the Prince yesterday?" He asked

Daemon shrugged his shoulders "He was strange he had an aura I've never seen before I couldn't even connect to it using my ability" he stated.

"You got incredibly lucky last night, the man you fought was a Faceless man, the most lethal assassin and killer in the world, and the reason his aura was strange was because it wasn't the same type that we use" Barristan explained.

"Our aura comes from our life, what they use comes from death, it is dark and powerful as it has no aura categories allowing them to use numerous abilities" he continued.

Daemon's confusion only grows, however, "Then how did he die? Surely if he was that powerful he could've escaped"

Barristan shook his head "Power comes at a cost and every faceless man is bound by a contract, if they fail to send their target to the stranger then their life is forfeit and they're cannibalised by their aura, turning them into shrivelled husk"

"He most likely realised that he wouldn't be able to beat me now that he'd lost the element of surprise and so he failed his contract making his life forfeit" he finishes, getting a slow nod of understanding from Daemon, he then realised how lucky he had gotten, he'd never heard of the faceless men before but if Barristan implied that he'd struggle in a fight with one it's a miracle that he didn't die.

However he is snapped out of his thoughts when Rhaella runs into him hugging him tightly making him groan slightly in pain "I'm so glad you're well Daemon, words can not express how grateful I am for saving me and my son" she whispers into his ear as she holds him tightly.

Daemon groans at the increased pressure making Rhaella realise what she was doing and quickly let him go "I apologise I was just overwhelmed with joy seeing you well" she said sheepishly.

Daemon smiled and shook his head "Think nothing of it your grace I simply did what anyone would've done" he said naively.

Barristan chuckled and shook his head "You do yourself a disservice, no one short of a Kingsguard would fight a faceless man to protect someone... even the most honourable knights would find themselves faltering in the face of their malicious aura"

Daemon smiles at them, he believes Barristan may be exaggerating but he appreciates the words "You've done a service to the crown Daemon, if you have a request then it shall be granted if it is within my power" Rhaella states as she takes a seat across from him.

Daemon thinks about it for a few seconds before shaking his head "My only goals in life are to grow stronger and to live a life with those that I care for, I do not need anything else other than that. So I appreciate the offer of your grace but I have no requests"

Rhaella's eyes soften at his words and even Barristan smiles, after spending so long in Kings landing meeting such an earnest person was a refreshing experience "Very well Daemon, if you change your mind I will always listen to any request you may have"

Daemon smiled at her and nodded his head "For the meantime however you will be going back into the wheelhouse and getting some rest, the Maester has said as long as you suppress your aura you should be healed up by the time we get to Lannisport" Rhaella commands

"I won't impose on you any longer your grace, please take your bed back I am perfectly fine with my own" he tries to reason, however, it all seems to fall on deaf ears.

"Nonsense you will take my bed until you have healed, if it makes you feel more at ease think of this as your queen's command," she says with a small side smile as she with the help of Barristan take him back to the wheelhouse.

———————————————————-

The following weeks were rather boring for Daemon as he lay in bed healing up, he wasn't allowed to train by orders of the Queen so for the whole time until they reached Lannisport he meditated, he felt a noticeable change in his aura it felt as if it flowed a lot smoother than it usually did and it had a higher wailing to it.

Daemon also felt awkward as Rhaella mothered him, she'd bring him his food and drinks and would help him with his other needs, she was the Queen of the seven kingdoms and here she was looking after a supposed bastard. Something that Daemon hoped no one would find out as he could imagine their reactions to such a scandal.

By the time Daemon had healed he offered to take up guarding duties for the Queen as he was one of the few aura users in the party. Barristan was stretched thin as Jonothor Darry had been killed, a small procession had been splintered off the main party to take his body back to his family.

The Queen was more than happy to allow Daemon to guard her, it was also a way of training as Barristan said a Kingsguard must always have his aura active for the entirety of their shift. He had grown rather close to the Queen to the point where she insisted on him calling her Rhaella when they spoke in private, something he had yet to get used to.

It was midday when they finally saw, the massive Stone Mountain with a castle and other buildings built or carved onto it. They had finally arrived at Casterly Rock, the seat of House Lannister and where the royal family would be staying while the Tournament would take place in Lannisport.

Daemon was awed as he looked at the massive structure, at its base was a large ringed wall that was almost twice as high as the ones in Riverrun, walkways and roads had been carved into the side of the mountain reaching up to the peak. When they reached the gate it was already open for them and they were ushered in respectfully, it wasn't every day that one would host the Royal family.

Daemon rode on a horse he had been given by Ser Barristan, he had been given some basic lessons in riding as he'd been told it would be embarrassing if an anointed knight could not ride a horse. But still as they rode further and further to the peak of the mountain where the main keep of the lannisters resided he felt more and more awed, he wasn't yet halfway up and he could always see for miles in every direction even seeing Lannisport just a mile away down the coast.

As they rode up towards the peak he saw Rhaella open the wooden shutters of her wheelhouse looking out and sighing at the fresh air "You'll miss this once we get to Kings Landing, so breath it in while you still can" she says with a smile.

Daemon chucked, he had heard the stories from Rhaella, Barristan and the other servants he had gotten to know about the signature stench of Kings Landing, he hoped it was an exaggeration, Daemon couldn't imagine a whole city stinking so badly that it became what it was known for.

They had finally reached the peak when they came to another wall and gate though this one was already open as well 'This must be the most fortified place in Westeros' Daemon thought to himself as they rode in. Lined up in the courtyard was the Lannister family minus Tywin, which the Queen and Ser Barristan noticed causing the latter to frown. It was considered a great disrespect for the head of the house not to be present when greeting a visiting family of the greater station.

The Queen however exited her wheelhouse with a smile as she walked up to the person she was most excited to see, Daemon carried Prince Viserys to make sure he didn't start crying "It is good to see you again Joanna" Rhaella said with a smile as she hugs her friend tightly.

"I've missed you as well," Joanna says as she hugs one of her best friends, as they disconnect from their hug Rhaella sees her children next to her and smiles.

"This is my eldest Jaime and Cersei, while this is my youngest Tyrion," Joanna says with a smile as she points to each of her children.

"You have a beautiful family Joanna I wished they could've been raised in the Red Keep" She said with a fake smile.

Joanna smiles back and nods "I do apologise that my husband is not here to greet you, the King just arrived a few days ago and has been taking up most of his time, right now they are at Lannisport"

Rhaella nods her head in understanding "Is my son here?"

"He is in Lannisport commissioning some armour for the Joust I believe, they will all be back here by evening for supper" Joanna states with a nod.

She then looks over at her guard "I do hope to see you in the joust Ser Barristan my son hasn't stopped gushing about how you joined your first one when you were but 10 name days old" she says humorously and much to the embarrassment of Jaime who blushes slightly and looks to his feet.

Ser Barristan chuckles and nods his head "I do hope to join if my schedule allows for it, though it has been a lot easier since I acquired myself a Squire" he said much to the shock of those there, Especially Jaime Lannister.

Daemon who was standing next to Barristan was subjected to the stares of those around him, though this wasn't unexpected as Barristan had never taken a squire before, so for him to take one now he would have to be very special. He still however felt slightly embarrassed under the scrutiny of those around him "This is Daemon Rivers, he's Ser Barristans Squire" Rhaella explained to Joanna, while her friend didn't care so much that he was a bastard it did shock those around her as he was one of the greatest warriors in the realm.

Joanna however smiles "Children, please show Daemon to his chambers and perhaps show him the Rock afterwards" she said with an authoritative voice that left no room for argument.

Daemon handed Viserys to Rhaella and gave them all a bow before he left with the children.

———————————————————-

Daemon walked through the stone corridors of the keep, it was all so lavishly decorated and he couldn't help but appreciate the craftsmanship that went into building such a place, he walked in step with Jaime and Cersei the latter of who tried to walk as fast as she can while the former bombarded him with questions. Behind them, a small Tyrion struggled to keep up.

"What's it like training under Ser Barristan!?" Jaime asked with awe, if he ever squired for someone he would ideally choose Arthur Dayne but if not him then Ser Barristan, he was a hero in the war of the Ninepenny Kings and one of the greatest warriors alive.

Daemon smiled at the eager boy beside him "He is a good teacher, I don't think I'd have gotten as far as I have without his help"

"Will you be joining the Melee, I tried to but Father caught me and had me confined" he said in a slightly morose tone.

Daemon shook his head "I think I won't have much time and I don't fancy my chances as the competition will be a lot tougher than Riverrun"

Jamie's eyes widened "You joined the melee at Riverrun! Did you win!?" He said excitedly, before he answers Daemon turns around to see Tyrion tiredly slow down as Cersei had set the pace too fast. He slowed down and then picked Tyrion up flashing him a smile getting he got one in return.

"I did win though it was a close affair, I almost lost to one of your father's bannermen, Ser Amory Lorch" Daemon replied as he went back to walking in step with them.

Daemon then leaned into Jaime and whispered "Is your sister okay she seems to be quite mad"

Jaime snorted "She's embarrassed because she thought you were the Queen's secret son and that perhaps they'd brought you to betroth her instead of Rhaegar as you are younger"

Daemon smiles but he didn't laugh "It's understandable we do share a lot of features, unfortunately, I am already betrothed"

This shocks Jaime and Cersei though as she's slightly ahead of them they do not see it "Who to?" Jaime asks

"Lysa Tully of Riverrun, after I won the tournament they asked if I would be interested in a betrothal, I had already been quite close with her beforehand so it was a blessing" Daemon explains.

Jaime scrunches his face for a few seconds "I remember Father saying he thought about entertaining an offer from the Tullys"

They finally arrived at the room where he'd be staying and Cersei quickly left without saying anything, while most would consider it rude Daemon didn't mind. Jaime smiles sheepishly at him "I apologise for her behaviour, she is like this sometimes"

Daemon waves him off "It's no issue, perhaps we can train together if you have no issue" Jaime nods his head excitedly making Daemon smile. He puts Tyrion down and heads into his room waving at the boys goodbye.

Lyanna sat on her bed trying to meditate, it hadn't been long since she had returned from Winterfell and she was miserable, she missed the friend she had found in Lysa but most of all she missed Daemon. While she was glad that he and Lysa had managed to get betrothed she couldn't help but feel a little jealous, which made her feel like laughing. She was never much interested in boys before she met Daemon and now she found herself wishing to be married, but she knew Daemon would never make her take up the life of a Lady in a keep.

They'd go on adventures together and train getting stronger than anyone around them and living a life full of fun, and eventually... maybe having a few children, she didn't think that sounded so bad. Lyanna found herself sighing on her bed as she thought of the life she wanted, she trusted Daemon to get strong enough to do it but she wasn't a helpless young girl.

That's when she stood up 'I'll train myself and get strong enough that no one tries to force me into anything' she thought to herself with determination.

She first had to start developing her ability and she knew where to start as she smirked and headed towards Godswood.

———————————————————-

Rhaella and Joanna sat together sharing a drink as they talked about their lives and what had happened during the time that they were separated, as Joanna had been her friend when she lived in Kings Landing but had to leave due to certain circumstances.

Rhaella missed her friend a lot but understood why she had to leave, even now it hurt her heart the pain that she had caused her friend "So tell me, why was that handsome squire carrying Viserys around like an older brother" she said with a smile.

Rhaella laughed "Apart from me Viserys only stays calm with him, he's been helping take care of him, I've been sleeping rather well as of late"

Joanna raises her eyebrow "Oh my, a squire going out of his way to help the Queen, do I sense a tale of forbidden love" she teases

Rhaella snorts as she drinks from a cup of wine "Hardly, Daemon is already in love, he's just a kind boy" she says wistfully.

She then looks at Joanna a bit more seriously "We were going to keep this quiet until we told the King but on the road from Riverrun we were attacked by a faceless man" she said lowly

Joanna's eyes widened as she gasped putting her hand over her mouth "Gods Rhaella! why didn't you say before, how did you even survive!" She said with shock in her voice

"Daemon had heard Viserys cry and entered my Wheelhouse to calm him down only to find the man about to kill him" Rhaella explained much to Joanna's shock.

"He managed to delay the assassin long enough for me to get to Barristan thus voiding the contract and killing him" she continued.

"No wonder Barristan took him as a squire if he has that much potential, though I find myself doubting you when you say he doesn't love you, a person wouldn't face such an opponent if they did not care" Joanna stated

Rhaella however still shook her head "He really is just that kind of person, I don't think it would've mattered much who he was protecting" she says with a small smile.

Joanna smirks at her friend's face "Maybe I was mistaken, it seems that the Queen is the one quite taken with the young Squire, though I can hardly blame her, if one protected me from a faceless man I might be quite taken"

Rhaella laughs it off but finds her face heating up a bit, she hides this behind her cup as she takes a big sip of her drink.

———————————————————-

Daemon sat at a table adjacent to the high table where Rhaella and the Lannisters sat, he was quite surprised that he would be placed this close to the hosts and the royal family, though perhaps it was due to him being the squire of a renowned knight. The feast hadn't started yet as they all waited for the guest of honour, The king.

He was late though when you are King you could argue that you're never late to anything as the event will only start with your arrival, Daemon talked to those around him they were first sons of Bannermen loyal to the Lannisters though he had little in common with any of them finding them to be rather pompous. He did find Tyrion wandering around much to his mother's dismay so he quickly scooped him up and placed him on his knee which the young lad was content with.

Tyrion was a smart lad and would probably do well once he unlocked his aura. Aura training strengthened the body but you needed a strong mind to control it so the fact he was a dwarf hardly mattered. This however made the people at the table sneer and whisper about him which the young boy heard, he couldn't help but feel his eyes water as they made fun of his odd-looking appearance.

Daemon whispered in his ear "Do not listen to what they say young lord, in this world Power, is Everything and even someone as small as you can cast a big shadow"

Even as young as he was Tyrion understood his meaning and smiled once more Daemon then whispered again "Besides don't feel humiliated by people who choose to wear women's scents" Tyrion couldn't help but laugh at the jibe and continued to do so as Daemon made fun of those around him.

However, the whole room went silent when the pressure fell on the room, while a majority of people felt uncomfortable and stuffy as if they needed to leave and get some air, those who had their aura unlocked felt as if they were suffocating, Daemon started breathing heavily as did most of the people at his table. The doors to the Great Hall swung open and a man walked through, he had long silver hair tied behind his head and a beard that went down to the bottom of his neck, he was powerfully built though he had a slender frame his aura was massive, Daemon didn't think he'd ever seen an aura as big as his. Next to him was a man with blonde hair brushed backwards though his hair looks to be receding, he also kept golden side-whiskers on his face. Daemon guessed this man to be Tywin Lannister, the Hand of the King.

Behind them was a man that made most of the women in the room blush, he was tall and strongly built with long silver hair that flowed below his shoulders, he was young and had a smile that would melt a maiden's heart. This was the Crown Prince, Rhaegar Targaryen, they were followed by various servants and Kingsguard as they entered into the Great Hall.

The King walked to the upper dais to take his seat of honour in the centre of the table he had a frown on his face though Daemon didn't have to look to tell that he was not happy as it was projected through his aura "To think I came all this way from Kings Landing only to see a Paupers spectacle, honestly Tywin I had thought the Lannisters to be rich and yet I am the only one who has brought anyone even remotely talented"

Tywin hid any displeasure he might've felt behind a well-crafted facade "I apologise your grace but compared to those around you, you may find a majority of people untalented"

"I believe the tournament to be a grand affair, it looks like to be a fair amount of competition in the joust" Rhaegar states trying to calm in father.

The king doesn't reply however as he makes his way to his seat everyone had stood once he entered the room, and this allowed him to see his wife who put on a fake smile when he entered "Wife it is good you have returned, I hope you finally got this ridiculous need to travel out of your system" Aerys states.

Rhaella still smiling nods her head "I have and I thank you for allowing it husband" she says, she tries to ignore that Aerys hadn't even looked at her the entire time and was looking at Joanna with barely concealed lust.

He takes his seat next to the Queen "Food and wine now!" He shouts making the servants jump into action and the Feast start.

Daemon felt disappointed, this was the King? While his aura was incredible his attitude and manners left a lot to be desired, though he couldn't imagine he'd have a lot of contact with the king so it didn't matter much to him. He enjoyed his food while he sat with Tyrion allowing the young lad to share from his plate, Joanna looked upon them with a smile she now knew what Rhaella meant when she said he was a kind boy. Jaime had been the only one to truly love and spend any time with Tyrion apart from herself, Cersei didn't like him as he had nearly caused her death when he was born. Most of those his age acted respectfully but mocked him behind his back or treated him as if they'd catch whatever he had.

Seeing Daemon so easily sit him on his lap and even share from the same plate as he filled her heart with joy, she loved her children and seeing Tyrion so horribly treated broke her heart.

Daemon was enjoying the feast, the food was very good and while he didn't particularly like the taste of wine he did like the spiced honey wine they produced in Lannisport. However he found himself being watched, it was unnerving but he tried to not allow it to affect him. Though it seemed fate would not allow him to peacefully enjoy his meal.

"You! The dragonseed!" The King shouted once again silencing everyone in the feast.

Daemon looked up to see the King was looking straight at him 'Should've sat with the servants' he thought to himself as he stood up putting Tyrion next to him.

"How may I serve your grace," Daemon said respectfully with a bow, he was gestured over by the King and he walked around his table to the centre aisle in front of the upper dais.

The King inspected him "You look like my son boy, tell me who is who is your mother"

"I'm not sure your grace, I was raised by a relative and never knew my mother or father" Daemon answered honestly.

The King nods his head "You have a good colouring on you boy, but it's a shame you look too much like a Targaryen"

He then flares his aura almost pushing the table away from him "We just finished destroying the Blackfyre line barely 20 years ago, we don't need another pretender"

Daemon finds himself suffocating under the weight of the King's Aura, it feels as if the temperature starts to rise as well as he starts feeling hot and his skin starts to burn Rhaella flares her aura grabbing onto her husband's arm and whispers desperately into his ear.

As she continues whispering the King's Aura starts to recede as he contemplates the situation "Tell me boy, how is it you were able to defeat a faceless man" he says sceptically.

Daemon who was on his knees after almost being crushed by the weight of the King's aura breathed heavily "I didn't your grace, I just bought enough time for The Queen to escape to the safety of Ser Barristan" he explained as he struggled to catch his breath.

The King gestured to Ser Barristan who stood behind them "Is it true this boy is your squire"

"Yes your grace" Barristan simply states not offering any more than he needed to.

"Tell me Barristan the Bold, what makes you take a squire for the first time in your life," The King says mockingly.

Barristan sighs as he knows the King would catch him out on any lies "He shows great promise, your grace, he won the Riverrun Melee just five months after awakening his aura"

The hall is filled with gasps and shock, even Tywins eyes widen slightly while Rhaegar looks at the boy with interest, the King however continues to look at the Knight as if waiting for something.

"He also possesses the Crimson Eyes..." he finished, he felt guilty as he wished to keep this a secret from the king. The hall once again erupted into gasps and shocked murmurs, Rhaegar himself even raised his eyebrow at the news.

The King looked back to Daemon and smiled "I see... Ser Barristan your services will no longer be required as I will be taking the boy on, he shall squire under myself" he said, Rhaella gripped her fists underneath the table and bit her lip this was the worst scenario to happen and she was responsible. She had brought him here so it was her fault.

The king however sat there smugly 'They think they could make a weapon to use against me... no I'm too smart for them he will serve me and I will unleash him on the traitorous houses' he thought to himself.

Daemon bowed respectfully "I thank you for the opportunity your grace" he said as the King waved him off and he went back to take his seat.

"You'll be taking Jonothor Darry's place as the Queen's guard until a replacement can be found" The King commanded getting a nod of confirmation from Daemon.

———————————————————-

Daemon found himself walking through the castle at night as he walked towards the Queen's room, it was time for his first official shift guarding her, he would be replacing Ser Barristan allowing him to get some rest. He wasn't sure how to feel about the events that had transported him earlier in the evening, Ser Barristan was a great teacher and he had learned a lot in the short time he squired for him, however, the king was the strongest aura user in Westeros maybe even Essos.

He knew it was an opportunity to grow stronger but he can't help but feel the King isn't quite sane, he felt his death in the few moments that the king flared his aura, he would've died had Rhaella not stopped him. To so quickly decide to kill someone and to so easily do it made him shudder. He'd have to be careful around the king otherwise he may find himself turned to ash on a whim.

Daemon approached the door where Ser Barristan stood, he smiled when she see him however Barristan had a grim expression on his face "Listen, lad, the King has left the Queen's quarters for tonight so you won't know but whatever you hear in there when the King is with her... you ignore it"

Daemon felt his smile fade and a smile mar his face "What are you suggesting? That the King abuses the Queen and that I should simply do nothing"

Barristan looks at him emotionlessly but Daemon can see how much pain it causes him to say "Yes that's exactly right"

"But isn't it our duty to protect her!?" Daemon asked

"It is... but not from him," Barristan says solemnly.

"I'm sorry lad, but lest you wish to be turned to ash you won't get yourself involved" Barristan states as he starts to walk away.

Daemon however looks at his back resolutely "Barristan!" He says with resolve in his voice.

The man turns around at the call of his name "I am the same person I've always been, I won't change even if I die because of it"

Barristan sighs as he turns back around wiping something away from his eye "I know lad, I know" he says as he walks away and around the corridors.

Daemon stands there and watches him disappear before releasing his aura, this was standard Kingsguard practices as they must always be ready to defend their charge. He knocks on the door to the Queen's chambers, for a while no one answers but when he knocks again he hears someone talk in a low voice "Enter" she says weakly.

As Daemon walked into her room he found her sprawled out on her bed with bruises all over her body and face, her nightgown was ripped in places exposing her belly and thighs. Daemon found himself in shock that the Queen was in this state, so he quickly ran over to Rhaella's side.

"Your grace is there anything I can do," he asked desperately, she had saved his life not hours ago and he could only sit here while she suffered.

Rhaella shook her head as she stared at the ceiling "I wish you didn't have to see me in such a state Daemon" Rhaella said quietly with a small groan, her whole body was in pain, every part of her burned or ached or simply felt painful. She had bite marks on her neck down to her arms and legs and hand prints that looked to be burned into her.

"I'm so sorry Daemon... I should've never brought you here, even if you couldn't have married both girls you'd be a lot happier, and you wouldn't be corrupted by the rot of our family" she said with tears falling out of her eyes.

Daemon shook his head "Don't say such things you have given me the chance to live the life I wish, and I am thankful" he said.

He felt completely helpless, he saw how much pain Rhaella was in and his one desire at that moment was to take it away from her, a 'King Type' Aura is special as it is the one type that can respond to the wishes of the user, in his Desperation Daemon activated 'Aura Tether' and used a new ability created out of his desperation, he would later call this ability 'Poppy's Embrace'.

Rhaella found herself slowly starting to feel relief as her aches and pains slowly started to disappear. She looked at Daemon who smiled at her, his aura was connected to hers so she realised that he was using an ability on her "Daemon what is this?" She asked with confusion.

"I-Its a h-healing ability that I've been developing as I seem to get injured so often," he said with a fake smile.

Rhaella normally would've been suspicious of such words but found herself relaxing as his aura soothed her and helped her move again, she climbed underneath her blankets and started to drift off, forgetting that Daemon was even there.

Daemon was screaming on the inside, his new ability had come with a hefty cost, while it wouldn't heal her it would take away the pain she felt from her injuries, the drawback was that the pain was transferred to Daemon via their link and so he shouldered the pain she currently felt. It almost made him weep for her that she had been in this kind of pain while the Kingsguard stood outside doing nothing.

'I won't ever allow you to feel this pain ever again" Daemon thought to himself with clenched teeth. He got up on shaky legs as he left the room leaving the aura connection active as if he turned it off it would cause the pain to go rushing back to her. So for the rest of his shift, he stood guard and shouldered the pain of Rhaella not regretting a single moment of it.

———————————————————-

Daemon was in front of the king once again however this time they stood on the edge of the rock facing out towards the sunset sea "You are said to have potential boy, but I don't trust the ramblings of an old man and a woman"

"I don't wish to waste my time with you if you're not worth it, here is your test, you will climb up the rock and back up here without using aura, if you can't make it up by the evening then I'll kill you," he said simply as if discussing the whether.

Daemon felt himself feel slightly relieved at the test, he was quite fit and climbing 2 miles in a day would be pretty easy "How will I get-" but before he can finish he's pushed off the side of the cliff by the King.

A fall like this would turn a normal person to mush and even with a person using aura they'd break bones which is exactly what happened to Daemon, though he had the foresight to use 'Fortify' to its limits and he only ended up fracturing his legs and arms with a few broken ribs. He felt himself struggle to break the surface of the water as the fall had left him deep in the water.

He gasped for breath as he broke the surface of the water, pain rushed through his body with every kick of his legs and paddle of his arms as he attempted to keep himself afloat 'The King is insane' he finally concluded as he paddled towards the rocks.

The next 6 hours were some of the most painful of his life as he climbed up Casterly Rock with fractured arms and legs and a few broken ribs, he'd used 'Suppression' hoping it would help but it didn't help the pain he felt. With every inch that he climbed his whole body flared with pain as his bones felt that they were on the urge of breaking.

When he finally reached the place he had stood hours previously he saw the King sitting there a table and food was in front of him as he ate and drank "It seems you have potential, so I won't kill you, however you took too long for my liking, you'll do it again tomorrow" he simply said before ignoring him.

Daemon just lay on the floor his whole body aching as his consciousness started to fade.

When he awoke he was in his room it looked to be just after sunset, he'd been bandaged and felt slightly better. He found that his quality of aura assisted in how fast he could heal so luckily the fractures seemed to have started to heal, though the broken ribs would take longer.

He got up and got dressed putting on his tunic and breeches as well as the armour he'd been given by the king to assist in his guard duties. He left his room and headed towards the Great Hall, however when he arrived it found it mostly empty with only a few people still feasting.

He went to leave not feeling very hungry however before he could he was called "Daemon!" He heard from behind him, as he turned he saw the Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and his Kingsguard Arthur Dayne sitting at the upper dais by themselves.

Daemon approached them "How can I assist my Prince" he said with a small bow.

Rhaegar smiled "First you can stop being so formal it would feel wrong making my brother and mothers saviour behave so respectfully, and secondly please join us I wish to speak with you"

Daemon nodded his head and took a seat and took a drink offered by the Prince "I wish to thank you for protecting my mother, she is a kind woman and I would find Kings Landing a rather grim place without her there" he then bowed his head which shocked Daemon.

"Please do not bow to me, I find no honour in doing something that anyone would have done in my place" Daemon states humbly.

But Rhaegar shakes his head "Most would've quaked in their boots at just the sight of a faceless man"

Daemon smiles in appreciation as he sips his drink "In truth I did not know what a faceless man was so perhaps my bravery merely came from ignorance"

Rhaegar smirked "Perhaps, though from what my mother told me even after being stabbed multiple times you still fought to allow her to get away when you could've easily pretended to be dead and maybe live" he states.

Daemon just shrugs his shoulders, he didn't like the attention he got from 'Saving' Rhaella because in truth he didn't feel like he had, the faceless man outclassed him completely, if not for Ser Barristans presence then they'd all be dead.

"If it is agreeable to you then I'd like us to be friends, I find myself lacking many and who better than my mothers saviour" he said as he held out his hand to shake.

Daemon smiles and takes the offered hand "I would be happy to my Prince" he was always looking to make friends so was glad to take the offer.

Rhaegar frowns "Please call me Rhaegar"

Daemon shakes his head "It wouldn't be appropriate my Prince"

Rhaegar smiles "Would you please call me Rhaegar" he said to Daemon.

Daemon sighed but then nodded his head getting a wider smile from Rhaegar, Daemon then stood up "Apologises Rhaegar but I must be going, I should relieve Barristan of his shift soon as I spent most of the day asleep or training" he said getting a nod from the man before he left.

As Daemon approached Barristan the man smiled at him "Did the king come?" Was the first thing he asked, Barristan didn't reply only nodding his head slightly making Daemon clench his fists.

He relieved Barristan of his post and after a few minutes he opened the door to a similar scene from the previous night, without saying anything he sat next to Rhaella and held her hand bringing her out of her daze "Daemon... I'm glad you're here, I slept so well when you came to me yesterday" she says in a weak pain filled voice that made Daemons eyes water.

Daemon however put on a brave front and activated his aura using 'Poppy's Embrace' to take away her pain, she sighed in contentment as her pain started to drift away and she could finally relax it felt like she was floating on a cloud as she started to drift to sleep. Daemon struggled to keep the pain in and even had to bite his hand, this pain on top of the pain of his fractured and broken bones was a lot to bare but seeing the look of happiness of Rhaella's face made it worth it.

———————————————————-

That's how the next few weeks went, he would climb Casterly Rock everyday after being pushed off it by the king and eventually he finally managed to get to what the King would call an acceptable time, though he said their training would begin in Kings landing. Each night he would visits a Rhaella and siphon away the pain she felt giving her a good nights sleep.

Daemon had also been enjoying his time that he spent with Rhaegar, he was quite a humble person and had lots of interesting thoughts of aura and even magic. He was happy for his friend when he won the Joust after beating Ser Arthur Dayne and Ser Barristan Selmy. Currently they were at the great feast that was being hosted after the tournament, Rhaegar had confided in Daemon that he believed this was where the announcement of his engagement to Cersei Lannister would be made.

Daemon congratulated him as it was clear Cersei would grow up to become a beautiful woman even if she did not like Daemon that much. He was enjoying the feast when the King stood from his seat clearly a bit tipsy but he had drunk nearly five bottles of wine to himself.

"Everyone, I'm sure you are all waiting for the big news that is rumoured to be announced during this feast!" He shouted with a slight slur to his voice.

"My son and heir Rhaegar is freshly Knighted and now 17 name says old, he also just won his first tournament, people have been lining up from all over the seven kingdoms to be married to him" The King shouted.

"My friend and my most trusted servant Tywin had offered his own daughter as a match, my Queen had agreed to such a match as well" he continued.

"But when I thought about it, it started to confuse me as it didn't make much sense" as he says these words the atmosphere changes and the Lannisters start to feel concern with Tywin clenching his fists.

"Tywin is my most trusted servant, but that is all you are, a servant" he says as he looks towards Tywin who impressively shows no emotion whatsoever.

"I wouldn't marry my heir to a horse, so it's ridiculous to think I'd marry him to a daughter of a servant" The king says before laughing and then sitting back down.

Daemon found himself shocked the whole room felt the same way but one man just felt rage, pure rage and yet he sat there with a mask of indifference, Cersei ran away with tears in her eyes, while Joanna went after her.

Rhaella whispered to her husband but it seemed to fall on deaf ears as he completely ignored her in favour of eating.

———————————————————-

Joanna had finally managed to calm her daughter down, she was asleep now having worn herself out with the crying. She was devastated that she would no longer be wed to the Prince, she been enamoured with him ever since he first showed at Casterly Rock. Joanna hoped that this engagement would put an end to the unnatural behaviour that Jaime and Cersei had engaged in but now that it ended she didn't know.

She knocked on the door to the Kings chamber and heard the words to enter, as she did she saw him standing on the balcony with his hands surrounded with green flames, of course this wasn't real wild fire but his aura mimicking it. She stepped out onto the balcony with him and he extinguished it.

"How can I help you My lady" he says with a smug smirk

Taking a breath "I hope to convince you to reconsider the betrothal to the Prince" she said respectfully.

"I see... and how are you willing to convince me to do so" he started as he let his robe fall apart revealing his body underneath.

"I am not willing to do anything so crass, I am married to Tywin, your good friend" she stated.

His smile only widens "It didn't stop you before"

She looks at him with barely concealed rage "You forced yourself upon me, I didn't wish for any of it" she said tearfully.

"And it will never happen again, for as long as I shall live" Joanna states with absolute revolve.

Aerys just looks at her with a bored expression "Then you shan't live" he says before grabbing her and throwing her over the balcony.

He watches as she falls down hitting off the side of Casterly rock before splatting on the rocks beneath. He lets out a short laugh before stretching and going back to bed.
