Boreas POV

"Why did you call me here? I got a meeting in 2 hours." Laurel said as she walked through the door.

Currently, I need as much protection as I can before Isabella's uncle George comes here with an axe because Amelia feels like it's her duty for her uncle to know. So Sir Wiles called Chris over too as I strapped on a vest before Isabella suggested sitting on my lap to reduce any chance of an attack even within my direction. Chris came and saw the scene, and pretty much picked the signal up within a minute as he mouthed 'uncle?' at me. Truly the world's greatest detective.

I even called Matt and Eve over, who also picked it up very quickly. My parents then went to stand outside the door, to try and talk some senses into the guy whenever he arrived.

The door burst open with a loud crash, the hinges creaking under the force as George stormed in, an axe in hand. His eyes blazed with fury, searching the room for me like a predator hunting its prey.

"Where's the bastard who got my Isabel- Her Majesty pregnant?" he bellowed, brandishing the weapon as if he were about to charge into battle.

"George, wait. Let's calm down-" Sir Wiles intervened, but was cut off once George spotted me wearing a helmet.

"Calm down?! For HIM?!" He glared at me, his face red with anger, and gestured wildly at Isabella, and then at me with his grip tightening on the axe, "I liked you, you know that? I personally recruited you to be a royal guard. Thought you were a decent guy. But this? This is how you repay me? You knocked up my niece and you have the nerve to hide behind her like a coward?"

"For the record, this was her idea. besides, I'm not hiding...Look, I get it. You're upset. But let's not...uh...resort to axes. Please."

I knew this was coming. The second Amelia blabbed to George, I could practically hear the countdown to him storming in with an axe. But now that he was here, I really didn't have a clue how to explain myself without sounding like a complete idiot. I mean, how do you calmly explain getting your boss's niece pregnant? I mean, he is technically one of my bosses, but Isabella is technically the highest ranking among said bosses, though I doubt it really matters to the madman with an axe, a large and sharp axe.

We tried our best to explain our story and why we hid it, but he would also have to be held back by Chris, Sir Wiles, and Matt every time his anger flared up. He then tried to make a rant about how he was protecting her from sleazy and irresponsible guys like me by making her go through that first marriage, but he was really incoherent. Eventually, Amelia came with a few people in fancy suits and panting as if they ran here in a rush, which shouldn't be possible since they teleported a good distance here.

Isabella then whispered to me that they were her siblings and 1 was Lawrence, her cousin who also happens to be the next king. Lawrence was somewhere in his 230s, 190 cm tall, has brown hair, and dark blue eyes. And the other 2 were her younger siblings. Spencer or Penn or Penny(by Isabella), is a 23-year-old guy with short brown hair and the same bright blue eyes as Isabella, while Leyla is a 21-year-old woman with red ginger hair and dark blue eyes similar to their uncle.

"Wow, I didn't believe it, the dragon warrior and the queen...usually they'd go for princesses, not the queen." Lawrence commented, "Father, why don't you just let them go? She clearly likes him."

"Likes him?" George then shot back a questioning look, "You think that Isabella, the girl who once made a nobleman cry after beating her in chess, would fall for some shady lustful guy?"

"Shady? You recruited him."

"On your suggestion!"

"Well...Isabella, you want the throne back? I'm more than willing to give it up, or I'll let your child be my successor rather than my own if you want."

"Oh no, my children are going to be much happier away from that kind of thing." Isabella rejected.

"Fair enough, I'm just here to confirm the sight of whatever man landed you and...pity him."

"Pity?"

"You once made a woman cry for naming their child Debra and also almost divorced a couple for just making a few harmless humor."

"No, stop joking around, you either help me kill this bastard or you're on their side, choose!" George demanded.

"I'm on no one's side...anyway, you 2 visit me after this is all done, I'll pay for the healing and any other medical expenses that are brought upon by my father."

"Thank you son, now I can torture him without a care for the world."

"Wait- that's not-"

"HOLD HIM BACK!" Matt shouted as George tried to jump me again.

I'm here to kill a demon lord, not deal with an infuriated uncle, why do I have to deal with this?!

3rd Person POV

The Demon Lord stood atop his dark throne and used magic to overlook the world's weakest nation as he summoned his vast army. His plan had been in motion for years and the humans thought his attack would be carried out in 2-3 years, however...now was the best time. he had spies and loyal agents embedded deep within the Northern Empire, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. That moment had finally arrived.

Without warning, his forces descended upon the empire in a swift and calculated all-out attack. The Northern Empire, known for its swordsmanship, was caught completely off guard by such a surprise attack. The Demon Lord's spies had long since blended into their society, gathering intelligence and positioning themselves for this very day. Within hours, key positions across the empire fell. The demons moved like a tidal wave. Cities were overtaken in days. The royal castle, the heart of the empire, was one of the first to fall, its walls breached from within by traitors who had masqueraded as loyal subjects.

The humans fought back, but their resistance crumbled quickly. They had not anticipated such a sudden and overwhelming attack, and the armies of the other nations were too slow to respond as the command was slow to reach due to the fall of the royal castle. Reinforcements from the south and east were tried to fight the demon forces, but the attack was so sudden that these reinforcements failed and only managed to help civilians escape the bloodshed. With no coordinated military resistance, the Northern Empire was soon overrun, the landscape dotted with ruined fortresses and smoldering towns.

For a month, the war raged, but it was never a contest. The demons swept across the empire like wildfire, and any who opposed them were swiftly crushed. The other nations, still reeling from the speed and ferocity of the invasion, could only offer aid to fleeing refugees. Entire cities were evacuated, as any attempt to mount a counterattack would have been futile. The armies of the human kingdoms were no match for the demon horde.

By the end of the month, the Northern Empire had fallen completely. Its great cities were now ruled by demons. The royal family had either fled or been killed, and the empire's lands were under the complete control of the Demon Lord. The Northern Empire was no more as the demons now ordered every human to evacuate, if not they will be slain.
