Iris's P.O.V

“Iris!” My father commanded my name causing me to jolt at attention, my demonic black wings furling in surprise.

“Ye...yes, Father!” I nervously called out waiting for my command, it was very rare for my father to raise his voice to me but with the citizens of hell watching, and him as their King must show authority even to his family.

“You are to go to school in the human world and learn about their ways. You are to report back every day while you are gone.” My father commanded though I could his normal side trying to come out, after all reporting every day for a mission such as this may be a bit much.

“Understood Father, I will carry out this mission with pride as the daughter of the King of Hell Lucifer!” I answered the command with authority, though internally, ‘Why are making this shut-in of a demon girl go to the human world. This mission is on hardcore difficulty already. You are getting an earful when this meeting is over Daddy!”

My father seemed to start shaking as his gaze met mine. I felt I could hear him whisper, “You have your mother’s evil gaze down to a t.”

“Ahem, this meeting is over, everyone is hereby dismissed.” My father commended sending the nobles, servants, and citizens that watched on their way.

As soon as everyone left and it became just me, my father and my mother Queen Susan, tears started streaming down my father’s face.

“Iris, my sweet daughter, please don’t be mad at me. I’m sorry for yelling at you, but I had to put on that act. You understand right?” My father begged however I chose to ignore the blubbering mess for now and speak to the reasonable parent my mother.

“Hmph, Mama, am I really being sent to the human world?” I whined, not wanting to deal with humans.

My mother giggled a little before her tone turned serious and answered, “Yes, you are, it was my idea after all, so don’t be mad at your father, I think this will be good for you and believe me when I say this you may just find yourself enjoying your time there.”

“I did already agree in front of our citizens, so I must stay true to my word, very well I will go to school in the human world. But I don’t think I will enjoy it like you say I will, Mama.” I said in an exhausted tone, knowing I couldn’t win against my mother.

A week had passed since then, and it was time for me to go to the human world, we were saying our goodbyes, when my father spoke with tears in his eyes, “Make sure to report in everyday, don’t stay up late, eat properly, and absolutely no boys.”

“Believe me father, you should have no worries about boys, as I have no interest in the concept of love.” I relplied trying to pull my father away as he held me in a tight hug.

My mother watched on with what seemed like a knowing gaze and said, “We’ll see, my dear daughter life works in mysterious ways after all. Make sure to have fun and enjoy yourself.”

“I will try, but no promises, I love you both.” I replied as I stepped through the portal.

As I stumbled through the portal into the human world, I was greeted by a cool breeze and the sight of cherry blossom petals dancing on the wind. Tokyo sprawled before me, a sprawling metropolis of towering buildings and bustling streets. It was a stark contrast to the fiery depths of Hell, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation at the thought of navigating this unfamiliar realm.

With a sigh, I pushed aside my doubts and focused on the task at hand. I was here on a mission, after all, and it was my duty to carry it out with pride. But as I walked through the bustling streets, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at the edges of my mind.

Lost in my thoughts, I failed to notice the girl approaching me until it was too late. With a sudden jolt, I collided with her, sending both of us tumbling to the ground in a tangled heap. "Owie, hey watch..." I began to scold, but my words faded into silence as I looked up and met her gaze.

She was like something out of a dream, with long, curly pink hair that cascaded down her back in twin tails. Her petite frame and delicate features gave her an otherworldly beauty, and her eyes shone with a radiant pink hue that seemed to pierce straight through me.

For a moment, we simply stared at each other in stunned silence, the world around us fading into the background as we locked eyes. And then, as if by some unspoken agreement, we both whispered in unison, "So cute."

Emilia's POV:

The morning sunlight peeked through the curtains, nudging me out of my slumber. Blinking away the remnants of my dream, I couldn't shake the vivid image of Iris, the mysterious girl who had captured my heart in my sleep. With a flutter of excitement, I sat up in bed, my mind racing with thoughts of her.

"Emilia, dear, it's time to wake up!" My mother's cheerful voice drifted from the kitchen, pulling me from my reverie. With a soft sigh, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. The dream lingered in my mind, a tantalizing glimpse of something I couldn't quite grasp.

As I got dressed in my school uniform, my thoughts kept drifting back to Iris. She was unlike anyone I had ever met, her presence filling me with a sense of longing I couldn't explain. Was it possible that she was more than just a figment of my imagination?

"Emilia, are you ready for breakfast?" My mother called out, interrupting my thoughts. I emerged from my room to find her setting the table with a spread of delicious food, her smile bright and welcoming.

"Good morning, Mom," I greeted her, trying to hide the excitement bubbling beneath the surface. "I had the strangest dream last night."

Yuki looked up from her task, her eyes twinkling with curiosity. "Oh? What was it about?" she asked, pouring me a glass of orange juice.

I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to put my feelings into words. "I dreamt of a girl named Iris," I began, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "She was...she was so beautiful, Mom. And I felt like I knew her, even though we had never met before."

Yuki's expression softened as she listened to my words, her gaze filled with understanding. "Dreams can be mysterious things, Emilia," she said gently, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Sometimes they show us things we never knew we wanted."

I couldn't help but feel comforted by her words, a sense of warmth spreading through me at the thought of my mother's wisdom. "Do you believe dreams can come true, Mom?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Yuki smiled, her eyes twinkling with affection. "I believe anything is possible, my dear," she replied, her tone filled with encouragement. "Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of faith."

With a newfound sense of determination, I finished my breakfast and gathered my As I hurried along the familiar streets of Tokyo, my thoughts were consumed by the enigmatic girl from my dream. Was it possible that she was more than just a figment of my imagination? The idea seemed ludicrous, yet the memory of her radiant smile and captivating presence lingered in my mind like a distant echo.

Lost in my thoughts, I rounded a corner and collided with someone, sending both of us tumbling to the ground. "Owie, watch whe..." I started to say, my words catching in my throat as I looked up and met the gaze of the girl who had collided with me.

Time seemed to stand still as I took in her appearance, my heart pounding in my chest as I struggled to make sense of the surreal moment unfolding before me. She was breathtakingly beautiful, with long black hair cascading down her back and piercing ruby eyes that seemed to hold the secrets of the universe.

For a moment, we simply stared at each other in stunned silence, the air crackling with an unspoken energy. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment as I realized that she bore an uncanny resemblance to the girl from my dream. Could it be possible?

"So cute..." The words escaped my lips before I could stop them, echoing the sentiment that hung between us like an invisible thread. I watched as a soft blush spread across her cheeks, mirroring my own embarrassment at the unexpected confession.

As we both scrambled to our feet, I felt a surge of excitement mingled with apprehension. Was this merely a coincidence, or was there something more at play? I extended a trembling hand towards her, my heart pounding in my chest as I met her gaze.

"I-I'm Emilia," I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper. "It's nice to meet you."

The girl's lips curved into a gentle smile as she took my hand in her own, her touch sending a shiver down my spine. "I'm Iris," she replied, her voice soft yet filled with warmth.

As we stood there, hand in hand, I couldn't shake the feeling that our meeting was more than just chance. There was a connection between us, a spark that seemed to transcend time and space. Little did I know, our encounter was only the beginning of an extraordinary journey that would change both of our lives forever.
