The lapse in their techniques turned their bodies back to normal.
With a swift and calculated strike, Riku's hands, now infused with lightning chakra, made contact with Tao's torso.
The jolt of lightning chakra surged through Tao's system. He had used the Dance of lightning jutsu.
Tao was unable to turn back to liquid form in time and his innards were electrocuted, killing him before he could realize what was happening.
'One down.'
Riku thought as he turned to face the remaining two enemy jounins.
"No!!"
Yagi screamed as Tao staggered and fell to the ground, the two Hozuki brothers found themselves grappling with the fact that their brother had gotten an express ticket to the afterlife.
"You will pay for this!"
Kojima said as he and his brother were visibly consumed by an overwhelming surge of emotions.
With their eyes ablaze with a mix of grief and rage, released an ominous killing intent that permeated the air. The very air seemed to thicken with the weight of their unbridled emotions.
'Good. This is what I wanted. The third brother was the level-headed one. With these two now angry, things could get easier.'

After finishing off the brothers, Riku stored the three bodies in a scroll and together with Aoi, they surveyed the aftermath of the battle. As they approached the area where Renjiro and the rest of the groups had been engaged in battle, the gravity of the situation became apparent.
