They left Kenji who was sprawled on the ground and headed towards the depths of the maze like city buildings. After a dozens zig zag turns and dead ends they arrived at a corner with the sewer hole. Seeing as how the tank was thrown beside it, it was a little suspicious. After examining their surrounding a bit Serena spoke: 

“Come on, let’s look somewhere else”

“What if they are in the sewers?” asked Gabi

“I dunno. There seems to be hot water running under there. What idiot would jump into that” Serena said carelessly 

She headed back on her lava land and Gabi was about to follow her until she heard water splashes beneath the hole.

“Serena!”

Immediately she turned around and arrived next to her with the call of her name. Together they heard splashes and voices coming from down there. Curiously they closed in to hear what the voices were saying.

“Shit, shit, I am sick and tired of these motherfucking boiling water in this mother fucking sewer”.

“Tell me about it Bold. Couldn’t you launch both of us with your ‘snap gust’?”.

“Assuming that we wouldn’t just hit the ceiling and fall into this stupid thing again”

“Bold, Mikhail. It’s me. GABI!”

She looked into the dark hole. Vapor was tanning her face but she could make out Bold’s face in the small dim light.

“Oh, thank goodness. We’re saved” screamed Bold

“Could you guys get some rope? Or something that could pull us up?” said Mikhail.

“No need. I think I can transform into one” said Gabi.

She looked at Serena and said.

“If I turn into a rope could you throw one end towards them and pull the other end with enough force?”.

 “Hmm, ’Firejuggler’ and I should be enough to pull them up. At least one by one” said Serena.

“Alright”.

Gabi transformed back into her human form but with a type on her wristboard she immediately turned into a rope. Serena got hold of it and threw one end into the hole. She summoned her companion with flaming body and together they pulled Bold out first and Mikhail afterwards.

“Where is that drunken father of yours?” asked Serena 

“He got away” said Mikhail.

But a smile appeared on his face.  

“But worry not. Cause I managed to steal the manal figure before he escaped” 

“That’s good. But there is something you should know” said Serena.  

She explained how a guy named Kenji attacked them, trying to steal Gabi away.

“Kenji, how could he. He really is that desperate?” asked Bold.

“Love for a woman can make a man do a lot of things. It can’t be helped. Lets talk about this with the others at home.” said Mikhail.    

They walked out of the maze like alleys and arrived where Kenji and Serena’s battle took place. Kenji was nowhere to be see. Mikhail was hoping to exchange a few words with him but sadly that doesn’t seem to be possible now. The four of them quickly headed towards their home.
