Mira sat in her office, deep in thought. She'd noticed Luna's frequent jealousy towards her close friends, especially to Namtan.  Therefore, she'd introduced Luna to her other friends and showed their photos for those she they can't meet in person like Minji, hoping to prevent a repeat of the café incident.

However despite this action, Mira noticed Luna's intense gaze during meetings whenever someone approached her which is different from the usual kind look she would gave before. It was slightly frightening, but her concern for Luna was stronger, she couldn't understand Luna's behavior somehow.

While Mira pondered, her assistant knocked and she let her in, momentarily putting aside her worries about Luna. It was work time, so she waited for her assistant to speak, but the assistant hesitated.

"Assistant Shen?" Mira called. "If you have something to say, just say it."

"Umm... President," Assistant Shen began hesitantly.

"What?" Mira asked.

"I know I shouldn't talk about this during work, but... it's worrying me, so... I'll say it," Assistant Shen explained, leaving Mira slightly confused and impatient.

"Say it," Mira said. Knowing her assistant well, she was willing to listen despite her impatience.

"Lately, you might not have noticed, but there's a rumor going around the company that you and President Pattranite are secretly dating," Assistant Shen said.

Mira didn't immediately respond to the rumor; she had no intention of denying it, but she wondered how such a rumor had spread, given that she and Luna kept their public interactions strictly professional.  If they did talk, it was always about work.

"That's it?" Mira asked, confused.

Assistant Shen adjusted her glasses. "The thing is, although it's just a rumor, it's affecting people. You may not have noticed, but every time there's a meeting with President Pattranite, and someone approaches you to talk, President Pattranite stares coldly, even at me!  It gave me goosebumps." Shen explain while rubbing her arms acting frightened

Although the dating rumor was just that, a rumor, Luna's behavior around Mira suggested something more was going on between them.

Mira sighed, the problem she'd been contemplating returned, now it also became her employee's concerns, increasing her worry about Luna.

She nodded understandingly." You're exaggerating it, just tell them to focus on what they're doing," Mira said calmly as if she didn't feel scared by Luna's cold gaze

She was about to ask her assistant to leave if there's nothing else when she remembered  and said something that stunned assistant Shen.

"By the way, Assistant Shen, Luna and I are actually dating, but she's not usually like this. So, until I resolve this, if someone wants to talk to me when she's around, please handle it," Mira said.

Assistant Shen was stunned but nodded. Then she asked, "What about me?"

"You?" Mira asked.

"President Pattranite seems a little jealous of me, too," Shen said.

"Don't worry, just keep a little distance," Mira advised.

Assistant Shen had some doubts but chose to believe Mira.

Mira sighed and massaged her forehead.  Getting jealous was understandable, but if this continued and affected everyone around her, this will definitely become a problem. It also means that she and Luna have a problem.

She just didn't know what the problem was. She'd tried asking Luna why she was jealous of Namtan, but Luna hadn't given her an answer. Sometimes she had to decline invitations from friends because she sensed Luna's worry, especially when work prevented Luna from accompanying her which makes her helpless thankfully her friends is understanding and won't take it to heart.

Mira sighed again. She was about to pick up Luna in two hours and still had no solution, she wants to resolve this as soon as possible, so after some thought, she decided to talk to her mother, who was very reliable and she believed she would get some answers.

"Mom?" Mira said.

"What's wrong, honey?" Maria asked.

"Mom, I need some advice," Mira said.

"About Luna?" Maria asked.

"Yes," Mira replied.

"Alright, I'm listening," Maria said readily.

"Mom, Luna seems a little strange lately. It started a few weeks ago when I accidentally met her at the café with a friend. She got jealous for a while, which I understand because I hadn't introduced her to any of my friends before, but now... she seems jealous of everyone around me," Mira explained, her worry evident.

Maria nodded and smiled helplessly. "Honey, maybe she lacks reassurance."

"Reassurance?" Mira asked.

"Yes, she feels insecure because she's your girlfriend but can't be openly affectionate with you in public, which makes her worry that someone might take you away," Maria explained.

Mira was speechless. She thought she'd already expressed her feelings enough. "I've already told her that I only love her, and we've been living together for over a month now, is that not enough assurance?"

"Not enough, honey. Don't you want your relationship to be public?" Maria asked.

"Of course, I do," Mira replied.

Maria paused. She could tell that Mira really wanted to make their relationship public, but something was holding her back, otherwise, Mira would have done it from the beginning.

"Honey, tell me, are you still worried about Luna's background?" Maria asked directly.  Her daughter also had a problem, not just Luna.

"W-what? Mom, what are you talking about?" Mira stammered, flustered at being seen through by her mother. She'd been keeping it to herself, but hearing it voiced made her feel flustered and nervous.

"I'm your mother, others might not see or understand you, but I can, honey," Maria said patiently. She wanted to help her daughter overcome what had been bothering her for years.

"Background" might seem unimportant when you love each other, but reality is, it will still affect your life in some ways. Maria understood this best, and she didn't want her daughter to feel the same pressure she'd felt, the pressure of the so-called "background status" which took her a while to overcome.

Mira remained silent, closing her eyes. After a long pause, she finally confessed, "She comes from a wealthy family, Mom. If our relationship goes public too soon, especially since we're still collaborating... I don't know what her family would think of me." Mira's voice was weak. "I'm... scared. What if her family thinks I'm not sincere? I'm scared I'm still not good enough, Mom."

Mira buried her face in the table, overcome with emotion and on the verge of tears. She didn't want to lose Luna.  Although she knew Luna wouldn't mind her background, Luna came from a business family, and Mira didn't want to cause any conflict between Luna and her family.  Therefore, she wanted to keep their relationship private for a while, at least until after their collaboration was finished.
