Book 3: Undead Rule
Prologue: Laws
Laws, they were such a simple, yet annoying thing to set into place. For one thing, since she was the leader of a theocratic nation, she needed to make sure that the laws there were to be implemented fit with the faith. Another thing, she needed to be there for the people.
The people weren’t as reproachful as one would think. They seemingly liked her rule so far. They confided in Pandora, who was cosplaying as Calvaria, and other newly minted priests. Then, she gathered what information that they had, and implemented it into the nation as best she could.
She had also built many different government buildings that would later fill different roles. She planned on making the nation more democratic. After all, her guild functioned like that, and it wouldn’t make sense to rule the people any other way. Sure, some of her friends were into the whole dictator thing.
Yet, she felt they might not actually like living in it. It was a silly thing to think about. Though, she could only really think about silly things right now. After all, Albedo was between her legs.
“Al… Albedo, could you slow down? I’m doing paperwork right now,” Momonga asked the overseer.
The overseer of the tomb, Albedo, sat between the Goddess’ legs. Her head was buried in her crotch, eagerly eating her out. There was no one in the room right now, so it was fine. Albedo wouldn’t have done this otherwise. In truth though, she needed to focus.
“Of course, My Goddess,” Albedo said, and got up and out from the desk.
They were currently in the main meeting room and office space of the manor that was in E-Rantel. The ceiling was high. The walls were covered in drapes that blocked the light from the windows. Not that anyone would be able to see them if there weren’t any drapes. Several spells blocked outside sight from seeing them.
On the opposite side of the room from the desk, was the front entrance of the room. On the side that had the desk, sat a desk of course. It was an exact copy of her desk back in the tomb.
On said desk was a stack of different binders that listed different laws and other such things. Here she would sit, and approve and disapprove different laws and other bills. If one thing were for certain, it would be that this was the easiest part of her job.
Sure, she was new to civil law as a whole, and didn’t really understand it as a whole, but she got the basic idea that a queen needed to be just and fair. What was just and fair in the end, though? Did it mean that she had to be impartial in all things? Did it mean that she had to care for her people before all else? It was hard to figure out without looking into past kings.
Soon, after she had stamped all the laws that she had needed to stamp, and look through all the problems that had been stacking up, she then moved onto the suggestions from the suggestion box.
Albedo, who stood beside her as she sat, placed the cardboard box down. Momonga thanked her, and placed the thing on her lap. Then, as she smiled, she heard Albedo speak.
“I don’t understand why I can’t simply do these? Maybe you can get someone else to do these as we explore each other as well?” Albedo asked, still somewhat excited from what she had been doing.
“No, I told the residents that they could confide in me. What kind of goddess would I be if I lied?” Momonga asked as she picked one up and looked at it.
She read it, then read it out loud. It was a simple idea. She liked it, yet she wanted another opinion.
“I believe that if we built some kind of public education group, we could foster the young minds of the people. Through this, we could find diamonds in the rough, and see if they are of use to Nazerick,” she read.
“I believe that sounds like Yuri Alpha,” Albedo started, and Momonga glanced at her with her usual blank face.
“What do you think of her idea?” Momonga asked, and Albedo frowned.
“Utterly worthless. Pigs should eat and die for their masters, that is all,” she said with a scowl on her face, and Momonga sighed as she tilted her head from side to side.
“I rather like the idea. Public schools could bring up the literacy rate of our nation, as well as what she stated. Sure, knowledge is worth more when it’s hoarded, but then it doesn’t grow properly. A nation of secrets is a nation of scared men and fools,” she said, and Albedo nodded her head.
She stamped the paper, and then placed it back in the box on the other side of it. She was about to grab the other paper, the one that she had snuck in. Yet, as she was about to, she heard something.
She heard a knock on the door. She curled up a brow. Who could it be? Albedo, who was standing by her, looked at the door as well. The maid on duty opened the door, as she was standing on the other side where the knock was, and spoke.
“Lord Mare and Lady Aura are here to visit you, Lady Momonga!” she said, and the two peeked their heads in.
Momonga smiled, and nodded her head. Though, along with the joy, came a bit of confusion. Did they need something? She wouldn’t say no to them anyway. They were cute kids, basically her children at this point.
“Enter,” she said, and Aura burst into the room, with a slightly sheepish, yet still smiling Mare behind her.
Aura smiled, and ran up to Momonga’s side. Then, after a beat of just standing there, she thrust her arms out, and Momonga grabbed her and placed her on one of her legs. Mare, who had walked up to the front of the desk looked down sheepishly again, and Momonga sighed as she beckoned with a hand.
Albedo looked at the twins as they sat upon Momonga’s lap, while the overlord smiled her best smile all the while. Aura, who was rather happy up and to this point, scrunched up her nose and looked at her goddess.
“Lady Momonga?” she asked, and Momonga gently smiled and nodded her head for her to continued, “did you two have sex before we came here? Are we interrupting an heir being made?”
“What’s sex?” Mare then asked, and Aura looked at him like he was stupid.
“It’s how babies are made. That’s what the weird smell is,” Aura said shamelessly, and Mare looked weirded out.
“Okay, um, that’s fine right? We weren’t interrupting you, were we lady Momonga?” Mare asked, and looked at the overlord of the tomb, whose brow had risen so high, and whose shock had filled her so much that her Emotional Suppression was going off constantly.
“No, no you weren’t. Do you two needed anything?” the Overlord asked.
“No, we just wanted to see you,” Aura shrugged, as if all the plans for the Talk had gone out the window for her basically mother.
“...Okay,” Momonga said slowly, “I love you two,” she said again, and kissed the tops of their heads.
…

Happy B-day to you
