“Hello, and good morning! We’ve already got quite the crowd here, don’t we?” Simeon gave his usual gentle smile and I could feel my heart jumping around in my chest. I can’t get used to how attractive he was….
“You demons sure know how to get an early start. I see you managed to get here before us.” Solomon greeted us with a smile as well and I couldn’t help but think he knew that Lucifer rushed us here.
“...!...Yuki!” Before I could realize what was happening, I felt arms wrap around my waist and a head rubbing into my stomach. I pause for a second before going to hug him back. It was very hard not to squeal and rub his cheeks. I wonder if this was happiness?
“What the…! HEY! What’s the big idea runnin’ up and huggin’ Yuki like that?!” Before I could react, Mammon pulled off of me. He then went in front of me, making sure Luke couldn’t hug me again. I couldn’t help but frown at him for doing this… What's the big deal messing with such a cute little angel? For some reason, Beel and Levi weren't pleased with Luke either.
“Yuki, I’m SO happy you’re all right…! So, SO HAPPY! There aren’t even words…!” Luke wasn’t paying attention to Mammon as he gave me such a cute smile and was looking at me with big eyes. I wanted to hug him so badly at the moment, he is soooo cute!
“What’s all this about?” Satan seemed confused with the way Luke was acting but I didn’t care, I just thought it was so cute seeing him so worried about me.
“I’m guessing he must feel responsible for what happened… You know, for how Lucifer nearly attacked Yuki.” Asmodeus told Satan this and I could feel my heart squeeze in my chest, I am so happy he cares so much about me.
“I’m so, so sorry, Yuki. You could’ve been hurt𑁋or worse𑁋and it was all my fault… I know I called and apologized for this already, but it’s such a relief to see you safe and sound. I’ve been beside myself with worry…” Luke was looking up at me with big, watery eyes and I felt like I needed to comfort him. I nudged Mammon out of my way and put my hand on Luke's head.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s all right.” I smiled at him as I kept rubbing his head. Luke smiles back as he allows me to keep petting his head. “Are you actually an angel? Is that it? An angel disguised as a human?”
“I’ve heard rumors that Simeon and Diavolo met and mediated a solution together. Is that right?” Solomon said that as he looked over to Simeon with a curious look in his eyes. “Yes, we did,” Simeon told Solomon that with his usual beautiful smile.
“Indeed, yes. Isn’t that right, Lucifer?” Diavolo looked over at Lucifer with a smile on his face and Lucifer's expression looked displeased, like really displeased. “....Yes.”
Luke moved a bit closer to me as he avoided looking at Lucifer. I wanted to block Lucifer from looking at such a pure baby boy. I always have such a weakness for cute children…
“Hehe. Just look at the expression on Luke’s face. He looks like a dog with his tail between his legs.” Asmodeus couldn’t help but chuckle at the way Luke was acting and Satan gave him a look. “Shhh… he’ll hear you, Asmodeus.”
“All right, then. Now that we’re all here, perhaps we should go ahead and explain how this retreat is going to work.” Diavolo said this while nodding his head toward Barbatos.
“Certainly, My Lord. The aim of this retreat is for demons, angels, and humans to intermingle so that each may gain a better understanding of the other.” Barbatos told us this with his usual calm expression.
“Well, as we’re stayin’ the night, I say the best way to intermingle is by havin’ a pillow fight!” Mammon looked excited when he said that and I couldn’t help but compare him to a child in my head.
“Now then, I’ll begin by explaining what we have planned for each day of the retreat.” Barbatos continued speaking, acting like he didn’t hear what Mammon just said.
“Wha…so you’re just gonna ignore me?!” Mammon was pouting when he realize he was getting ignored by Barbatos.
“ROTFLMAO LOOOOOOOOL!” Levi couldn’t help but make fun of Mammon's situation and I tried not to pay attention to the fact Lucifer's expression was not looking good at the moment.
“After you’ve taken your belongings up to your rooms, we’ll begin with a tour of the Demon Lord’s Castle, where you’ll have a chance to learn about Devildom history. We’ll be serving Devildom cuisine for dinner tonight, and I’ve taken the liberty of volunteering to prepare tonight’s meal myself.” Barbatos told us that with a pleased smile on his face.
“Mmm, Barbatos’s authentic Devildom cuisine…” Beel's stomach started to growl and drool was coming from his mouth, it was a large amount of drool… Levi was looking at him with a concerned look. “Um, Beel...you know you’re drooling.”
“Tomorrow we’ll be having a scavenger hunt.” When Barbatos said that I was kind of shocked. We were going to do a scavenger hunt? That seems like something younger children would do for a sleepover…
“...Eh? A what now?” Mammon seemed confused about what Barbatos just said and Satan went to explain it to him. “A scavenger hunt. It’s a game you play in groups. You use pictures and hints to help you hunt down hidden items.”
“Each day, we plan to have a representative from one of the three worlds prepare a meal for us. So, tomorrow Luke will be making food from the Celestial Realm. I’m sure it will be quite a treat.” Barbatos told us this with a smile towards Luke and I could hear Beel's stomach get louder. “Food from the Celestial Realm, huh…”
“Was that your stomach growling just now, Beel? Because for a moment I thought I heard thunder.” Asmodeus had a frown on his face as he looked at Beel's stomach with a concerned expression.
“Remember Luke, you’re making DINNER. Which means more than just sweets, understand?” Simeon told this seriously to Luke who lowered his head with a frown on his face. “Aw...o-okaaay…”
“Incidentally, there will also be a dance following dinner tomorrow. Then on day three𑁋the final day𑁋we’ll get to enjoy food from the human world for lunch, which Yuki will be preparing for us.” When Barbatos said that I froze for a second. I don’t remember being told this!
“Wait, no one told ME about this!” I didn’t have any time to plan for what I would cook?! What if I don’t have the ingredients for the food I want to make?!
“I did send a notice regarding our plans.” Barbatos looked surprised that I didn't know about this and Lucifer immediately looked at Mammon with a glare. “Mammon, I believe I told you to let Yuki know about this?”
“H-Huh? W-Wait a minute, didn’t I, um, mention that? ...No? Well, THAT’S weird… Ahaha…” Mammon was trying to avoid looking at Lucifer as he rubbed behind his head with a nervous expression.
I gave an unimpressed look to Mammon. I wished he would have tried to tell me this. I will just have to come up with something before it is my turn to cook.
“Well then, why don’t we move on to the room assignments? Lord Diavolo will be sharing a room with Lucifer.” Barbatos said this and Lucifer seemed surprised to learn this. “You have your own bedroom here. Why share a room with me?”
“Why do you think? Because this is a retreat, of course!” Diavolo was excited as he told Lucifer this with a wide grin and Lucifer let out a sigh while shaking his head. “You certainly seem to be looking forward to this.”
“Luke, Beelzebub, Leviathan, you will be sharing a room,” Barbatos said this but it seem like Beel and Levi weren't listening at all.
“Ooh, what’s this? Looks yummy…” Beel was looking at something that Levi was holding but it was quickly taken away from him by Levi who was glaring at him. “Hey! That’s a FIGURINE! It’s Ruri-chan’s pet Peetie the Pancake! It’s NOT edible!”
“I have a really, really bad feeling about this…” Luke didn’t have a good expression on his face as he looked at Beel and Levi.
“Simeon, Asmodeus, Yuki, you’ll be sharing a room,” Barbatos said this, and I felt myself grow nervous. This is so bad… I am going to be in a room with two attractive men. I have no idea how I am going to sleep! For some reason, Mammon didn’t seem pleased about that.
“And Solomon, Mammon, Satan, you’ll be sharing a room as well. And that covers everyone.” After Barbatos finished that, Mammon walked over toward Asmodeus with a serious expression.
“...Yo, Asmodeus. Switch rooms with me!” When Mammon said this, I felt confused. I wasn’t alone with this since Asmodeus didn’t understand why Mammon wanted that either. “...What? Why?”
“Because, um… y’know… Solomon looks like he snores, and… and Satan’s feet probably stink..” Mammon looked like he was struggling to come up with a reason and Solomon couldn’t help but frown at him. “Well, that’s an awfully rude thing to accuse me of. And it’s not true.”
“My feet don’t smell. Mammon, the truth is that you want to be in the same room as Yuki, don’t you?” Satan said that and Mammon grew embarrassed. I couldn’t understand why he wanted to be in the same room as me? Also, I would rather not share a room with him since I can’t forget the fact Levi told me that Mammon sleeps with no clothes on...
“Wh?! You idi…! N-No I don’t! Why would I want to share a room with Yuki?! I mean...a human?! And when you sleep in the same room as a human, their smell ends up rubbin’ off on ya. So you should be grateful I’m even willin’ to trade with ya! You should be HONORED, actually!” I felt my eyebrow twitch when Mammon mentioned my smell. I don’t smell at all! I make sure to clean myself every day!
“Look at how hard he’s trying to deny it. Loool!!” Levi was laughing at the way Mammon was acting but I was still upset about him talking about my smell… I don’t smell bad at all…
“Ah… I see. So that’s why you want to switch rooms, is it? Well, in that case, the answer is no. Too bad!” Asmodeus said that with a cheerful smile and Mammon reacted negatively. “WHY NOT?!”
“Maybe because I enjoy seeing that bitter, frustrated look on your face?” Asmodeus boops Mammon's nose which causes him to growl in anger.
“Ahaha! Yep, that’s the one! I really DO love that look!” Asmodeus chuckled to himself as he kept on messing with Mammon.
“How long do you all plan on goofing around? Let’s go. Time to take your belongings up to your rooms.” Lucifer said this as he pulled on Mammon's ear as he walked toward the room. “OWWWWW! Hey! Lucifer, stop! Quit pullin’ me along by the ear! Ugh, COME ON! What’d I do to deserve this, huh?!”
