Leo Aldridge, an orphan, had just been expelled from his orphanage under false accusations of stealing a bag worth $10,000. Despite his innocence, Leo's reputation as a troublemaker left him in a dire situation.

Alone and exhausted, he wandered the cold streets of Melbourne at night, feeling utterly destitute. "I want to go home... But they hate me. I have nowhere to go," Leo muttered to himself.

Suddenly, Leo stumbled upon a sketchy job advertisement taped to the back wall of an alleyway. "Looking for an assistant to help me with my newest webnovel! $1 Million offered! Only 1 assistant needed! No need for any job experience! Contact us or visit us here, 2482 Gravel Street."

Leo scoffed at the unimpressive poster. "Such a sketchy offer... $1 Million? What kind of scam is this? No one would seriously believe this ad, right?"

I'm definitely not falling for this scam, Leo repeated to himself, trying to convince his weary mind.

But as he stared at the address, the phone number, and the email provided, doubt crept in. What if it's real? I have nothing left anyway. Even if this job offer turns out to be illegal or dangerous, maybe it's a way out... a chance.

With a mixture of resignation and curiosity, Leo decided to take a chance. 2482 Gravel Street isn't far, might as well see what's there.

Approaching the skyscraper mentioned in the ad, Leo was stopped by the building's guards. "Hey, what's your purpose here?" one of them demanded.

Leo took a step back, trying to appear calm. "I'm here about this," he said, showing them the job poster. After a brief inspection, the guards allowed him to enter, and Leo made his way up to the 22nd floor as instructed.

Upon arriving, Leo surveyed his surroundings and located an office with a nameplate that read "Gyeoul Yoon, Writer."

Summoning his last bit of courage, Leo knocked on the door. Moments later, it opened to reveal the person behind the job offer.

"Hello! Are you here for the assistant position?" Gyeoul Yoon greeted him warmly.

AN: Hey y'all, been a while. I'm back with a new series and I'm a bit motivated now since I've managed to recover from fatigue and stress I've been going through.
